Something worse than Boko Haram is
coming, says Prophet Olabayo Primate Olabayo It’s not a big deal that someone has stroke but I am
okay. While on a trip to Kaduna, God had revealed
to me that I would have stroke and would be away
for some time. So I looked for someone who knew
about stroke; one of my pastors. How did it happen and what was your first reaction? I was going for a revival in Kaduna and God told me
to go with somebody who knows about stroke. The
man had to follow me to Kaduna. When I got to
Kaduna, they told me one of my townsmen was sick
and when I got to his place, God said I should not do
anything though he was suffering. I got a room for him, paid his bills and left after praying for him. As
I was returning to the church in Kaduna, I had the
attack. And did you have any medical treatment? Definitely! Why do you think it’s a spiritual attack? I know because God told me about it. I know it could
be exhaustion because I pray and fast a lot. There was this rumour among the people that one
of the reasons your church went down was because
you were caught in adultery with somebody else’s
wife. Is it true sir? God will forgive you. Where? That is why Nigeria
cannot move forward. How do you expect me; I
preach the Word of God, I preach against adultery,
then I’ll be caught in such an act! Impossible!
Anybody can lie against you. At your age sir, are you thinking of passing over
the baton to someone else soon? I am a prophet and it is not hereditary. God can
choose anybody. When it’s time for me, God will
tell me to lay hands on the person. God has not told
me yet, I’m still a young man. There are so many
people that are coming up, not only one person.
Among them, God will raise up leaders. We have young pastors coming up in the church who have
the gift of the Word of God, the Bible. Not only
vision, people believe that it’s when you just speak
in tongues alone or see vision. No! There are
different types of gifts.
There are churches as soon as the founders pass away you don’t hear much from those churches…
It can’t happen here because it’s God that called
me. When it is time, God will raise up another
leader among us. What do you foresee for Nigeria? We are sitting at the keg of gunpowder. We are
looking at total darkness in the nation. We need to
pray very well because these political people are
not doing the right things. Nothing is working; the
worst corruption is in Nigeria. There has never
been corruption as worse as this. The name of Nigeria is now corruption and some of the
journalists are not helping matters. People are
being bribed. But there’s going to be a revolution.
The poor will overtake the rich. You’ve not seen
anything. You’ve not seen Boko Haram. Worse Boko
Haram is about to happen and we have to pray against religious war that may last seven years.
Let Jonathan drop his ambition for 2015. Let him
work and allow his work speak for itself. Most of
his political alleys especially from his Niger Delta
are deceiving him and are talking carelessly. They
will be consumed one after another. They are already beating war drums if he fails to return in
2015; let them keep quiet. They are not helping
matters. Very soon they’ll start bombing.
The chairman of PDP is going to face another
problem because there’s going to be crisis and if
care is not taken, he is going to be removed. They are going to scatter them and cause confusion
between him and the president. Most of these
governors that are being sacked are going to join
hands together to form another party. A new party
will emerge which will be more powerful than PDP.
Not APC! Gov. Rotimi Amaechi’s current challenges will create more problems in this country.
What’s the way out of all of these? How can we
prevent this doom from coming to pass in Nigeria?
The problem with Nigeria is leadership. We are so
corrupt and wicked. We manipulate things and we
don’t allow God to work. They don’t believe in God. They go about looking for protection; some of
them think they are untouchable. They don’t
believe there’s God. One day they are going to give
account. God is going to intervene in the affairs of
Nigeria very soon and a brand new nation will
emerge from the ashes of a revolution. The president is being caged by some few people.
When you are saying the truth, they arrest you.
Some of his close people are enemies and he
doesn’t know. If he’s not careful, they are going to
run him down.
There are things to be done spiritually. I don’t need to discuss all these with the Press because our
leaders don’t have listening ears. We need to come
together and work for this nation because we have
children. We don’t want our children to suffer.
Because if there’s war in Nigeria today, Ghana
cannot accommodate the number of refugees. They are holding notional meetings. If they want to
do something, somebody will talk today; they will
give him millions of naira to keep quiet.
They are not saying anything, they are only
exchanging money and that is what is destroying
this country. Our refineries are not working; the roads are bad, armed robbers have taken over;
there’s no work, now they want to sack people. The
man is making more mistakes everyday. Every step
he takes, he’s making wrong decisions. Many of his
advisers are selfish and wicked people. They are
just accumulating wealth. And they are old. They don’t give up. They are acquiring properties. Some say Nigeria might not survive beyond 2015.
Do you agree? I went to America of recent and I prophesied and it
happened. Let me tell you, it’s not America that will
dictate for us. God is saying that we should avoid
war; religious war. Sir, is there anything the Church or anybody can do
to avert a violent revolution? As I am prophesying now, some church leaders and
prayer contractors will take it to them to get
money, to get oil blocks and buy aeroplanes for
themselves. That will not solve the problem.
Despite the health cha-llenges, you still talk like
this. When are you ever going to get tired? I can’t be tired. They have tried me. I was the only
one condemning Sani Abacha. One day they sent
one brig-adier to me, I was in my house. As he
came, I said something is in your stomach, he said
yes, Sir. They said you should come and arrest me,
he said yes Sir. I said but you have a daughter, he said yes sir. That day, my phone just stopped
working I know it was their handiwork. When he
came, God revealed to me and I told him you are
going to land into problem, your oga will die.
Before Abacha died, one Austin came to me. He
said he has a friend of Abubakar, I said he’s going to be next president and Abacha would die, and it
happened. There’s nobody that God cannot catch. If
100 pastors and mallams are praying for them, they
can’t survive. God is about to move if they don’t
change and repent because they have put us under
bondage for long. These pastors, let them change. They will say we are Pentecostals, that doesn’t
mean you cannot speak truth. There was a time it
was only me and Idahosa that were speaking during
Babangida’s era. Most of these pastors that were
condemning prophec-ies, are now prophesing.
Where did they see it? Jealousy and envy are the things killing them. What is your own assessment of late Pa Obadare? He’s a man of God. He’s one of the chosen men of
God, a soul winner, has the fear of God. That’s one
of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He was a blind man
and was quoting the Bible. A good preacher of God.
He’s one of the best in the Body of Christ that we
miss.

The Crimes Of Buhari= By Wole Soyinka The grounds on which General Buhari is being
promoted as the alternative choice are not only
shaky, but pitifully naive. History matters. Records
are not kept simply to assist the weakness of
memory, but to operate as guides to the future. Of
course, we know that human beings change. What the claims of personality change or transformation
impose on us is a rigorous inspection of the
evidence, not wishful speculation or behind-the-
scenes assurances. Public offence, crimes against a
polity, must be answered in the public space, not in
caucuses of bargaining. In Buhari, we have been offered no evidence of the sheerest prospect of
change. On the contrary, all evident suggests that
this is one individual who remains convinced that
this is one ex-ruler that the nation cannot call to
order.
Buhari � need one remind anyone – was one of the generals who treated a Commission of Enquiry, the
Oputa Panel, with unconcealed disdain. Like
Babangida and Abdusalami, he refused to put in
appearance even though complaints that were
tabled against him involved a career of gross
abuses of power and blatant assault on the fundamental human rights of the Nigerian citizenry.
Prominent against these charges was an act that
amounted to nothing less than judicial murder, the
execution of a citizen under a retroactive decree.
Does Decree 20 ring a bell? If not, then, perhaps
the names of three youths – Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh
(26) do. To put it quite plainly, one of those three
Ogedengbe – was executed for a crime that did not
carry a capital forfeit at the time it was committed.
This was an unconscionable crime, carried out in
defiance of the pleas and protests of nearly every sector of the Nigerian and international community
religious, civil rights, political, trade unions etc.
Buhari and his sidekick and his partner-in-crime,
Tunde Idiagbon persisted in this inhuman act for
one reason and one reason only: to place Nigerians
on notice that they were now under an iron, inflexible rule, under governance by fear.
The execution of that youthful innocent for so he
was, since the punishment did not exist at the time
of commission – was nothing short of premeditated
murder, for which the perpetrators should normally
stand trial upon their loss of immunity. Are we truly expected to forget this violation of our entitlement
to security as provided under existing laws? And
even if our sensibilities have become blunted by
succeeding seasons of cruelty and brutality, if
power itself had so coarsened the sensibilities also
of rulers and corrupted their judgment, what should one rightly expect after they have been
rescued from the snare of power. At the very least,
a revaluation, leading hopefully to remorse, and its
expression to a wronged society. At the very least,
such a revaluation should engender reticence,
silence. In the case of Buhari, it was the opposite. Since leaving office he has declared in the most
categorical terms that he had no regrets over this
murder and would do so again.
Human life is inviolate. The right to life is the
uniquely fundamental right on which all other
rights are based. The crime that General Buhari committed against the entire nation went further
however, inconceivable as it might first appear.
That crime is one of the most profound negations of
civic being. Not content with hammering down the
freedom of expression in general terms, Buhari
specifically forbade all public discussion of a return to civilian, democratic rule. Let us constantly
applaud our media those battle scarred
professionals did not completely knuckle down.
They resorted to cartoons and oblique, elliptical
references to sustain the people’s campaign for a
time-table to democratic rule. Overt agitation for a democratic time table however remained rigorously
suppressed military dictatorship, and a specifically
incorporated in Buhari and Idiagbon was here to
stay. To deprive a people of volition in their own
political direction is to turn a nation into a colony of
slaves. Buhari enslaved the nation. He gloated and gloried in a master-slave relation to the millions of
its inhabitants. It is astonishing to find that the
same former slaves, now free of their chains, should
clamour to be ruled by one who not only turned
their nation into a slave plantation, but forbade
them any discussion of their condition. So Tai Solarin is already forgotten? Tai who stood at
street corners, fearlessly distributing leaflets that
took up the gauntlet where the media had dropped
it. Tai who was incarcerated by that regime and
denied even the medication for his asthmatic
condition? Tai did not ask to be sent for treatment overseas; all he asked was his traditional medicine
that had proved so effective after years of struggle
with asthma!
Nor must we omit the manner of Buhari coming to
power and the pattern of his corrective rule.
Shagari’s NPN had already run out of steam and was near universally detested except of course by
the handful that still benefited from that regime of
profligacy and rabid fascism. Responsibility for the
national condition lay squarely at the door of the
ruling party, obviously, but against whom was
Buharis coup staged? Judging by the conduct of that regime, it was not against Shagaris
government but against the opposition. The head of
government, on whom primary responsibility lay,
was Shehu Shagari. Yet that individual was kept in
cozy house detention in Ikoyi while his powerless
deputy, Alex Ekwueme, was locked up in Kiri-kiri prisons. Such was the Buhari notion of equitable
apportionment of guilt and/or responsibility.
And then the cascade of escapes of the wanted, and
culpable politicians. Manhunts across the length
and breadth of the nation, roadblocks everywhere
and borders tight as steel zip locks. Lo and behold, the chairman of the party, Chief Akinloye, strolled
out coolly across the border. Richard Akinjide,
Legal Protector of the ruling party, slipped out with
equal ease. The Rice Minister, Umaru Dikko, who
declared that Nigerians were yet to eat from
dustbins – escaped through the same airtight dragnet. The clumsy attempt to crate him home
was punishment for his ingratitude, since he went
berserk when, after waiting in vain, he concluded
that the coup had not been staged, after all, for the
immediate consolidation of the party of extreme
right-wing vultures, but for the military hyenas. The case of the overbearing Secretary-General of
the party, Uba Ahmed, was even more noxious. Uba
Ahmed was out of the country at the time. Despite
the closure of the Nigerian airspace, he compelled
the pilot of his plane to demand special landing
permission, since his passenger load included the almighty Uba Ahmed. Of course, he had not known
of the change in his status since he was airborne.
The delighted airport commandant, realizing that
he had a much valued fish swimming willingly into a
waiting net, approved the request. Uba Ahmed
disembarked into the arms of a military guard and was promptly clamped in detention. Incredibly, he
vanished a few days after and reappeared in safety
overseas. Those whose memories have become
calcified should explore the media coverage of that
saga. Buhari was asked to explain the vanished act
of this much prized quarry and his response was one of the most arrogant levity. Coming from one
who had shot his way into power on the slogan of
displine, it was nothing short of impudent.
Shall we revisit the tragicomic series of trials that
landed several politicians several lifetimes in
prison? Recall, if you please, the judicial processes undergone by the septuagenarian Chief Adekunle
Ajasin. He was arraigned and tried before Buhari’s
punitive tribunal but acquitted. Dissatisfied, Buhari
ordered his re-trial. Again, the Tribunal could not
find this man guilty of a single crime, so once again
he was returned for trial, only to be acquitted of all charges of corruption or abuse of office. Was Chief
Ajasin thereby released? No! He was ordered
detained indefinitely, simply for the crime of
winning an election and refusing to knuckle under
Shagari’s reign of terror.
The conduct of the Buhari regime after his coup was not merely one of double, triple, multiple
standards but a cynical travesty of justice. Audu
Ogbeh, currently chairman of the Action Congress
was one of the few figures of rectitude within the
NPN. Just as he has done in recent times with the
PDP, he played the role of an internal critic and reformer, warning, dissenting, and setting an
example of probity within his ministry. For that
crime he spent months in unjust incarceration.
Guilty by association? Well, if that was the
motivating yardstick of the administration of the
Buhari justice, then it was most selectively applied. The utmost severity of the Buhari-Idiagbon justice
was especially reserved either for the opposition in
general, or for those within the ruling party who
had showed the sheerest sense of responsibility and
patriotism.
Shall I remind this nation of Buhari’s deliberate humiliating treatment of the Emir of Kano and the
Oni of Ife over their visit to the state of Israel? I
hold no brief for traditional rulers and their
relationship with governments, but insist on
regarding them as entitled to all the rights,
privileges and responsibilities of any Nigerian citizen. This royal duo went to Israel on their
private steam and private business. Simply because
the Buhari regime was pursuing some antagonistic
foreign policy towards Israel, a policy of which
these traditional rulers were not a part, they were
subjected on their return to a treatment that could only be described as a head masterly chastisement
of errant pupils. Since when, may one ask, did a
free citizen of the Nigerian nation require the
permission of a head of state to visit a foreign
nation that was willing to offer that tourist a visa.?
One is only too aware that some Nigerians love to point to Buhari’s agenda of discipline as the shining
jewel in his scrap-iron crown. To inculcate
discipline however, one must lead by example,
obeying laws set down as guides to public probity.
Example speaks louder than declarations, and
rulers cannot exempt themselves from the disciplinary strictures imposed on the overall polity,
especially on any issue that seeks to establish a
policy for public well-being. The story of the thirty
something suitcases it would appear that they were
even closer to fifty – found unavoidable mention in
my recent memoirs, YOU MUST SET FORTH AT DOWN, written long before Buhari became spoken
of as a credible candidate. For the exercise of a
changeover of the national currency, the Nigerian
borders air, sea and land had been shut tight.
Nothing was supposed to move in or out, not even
cattle egrets. Yet a prominent camel was allowed through that
needles eye. Not only did Buhari dispatch his aide-
de-camp, Jokolo later to become an emir - to
facilitate the entry of those cases, he ordered the
redeployment as I later discovered – of the Customs
Officer who stood firmly against the entry of the contravening baggage. That officer, the incumbent
Vice-president is now a rival candidate to Buhari,
but has somehow, in the meantime, earned a
reputation that totally contradicts his conduct at
the time. Wherever the truth lies, it does not
redound to the credibility of the dictator of that time, General Buhari whose word was law, but
whose allegiances were clearly negotiable.
On the theme of double, triple, multiple standards
in the enforcement of the law, and indeed of the
decrees passed by the Buhari regime at the time,
let us recall the notorious case of Triple A Alhaji Alhaji Alhaji, then Permanent Secretary in the
Ministry of Finance. Who was caught, literally, with
his pants down in distant Austria. That was not the
crime however, and private conduct should always
remain restricted to the domain of private censure.
There was no decree against civil servants proving just as hormone driven as anyone else, especially
outside the nation’s borders. However, there was a
clear decree against the keeping of foreign
accounts, and this was what emerged from the
Austrian escapade. Alhaji Alhaji kept, not one, but
several undeclared foreign accounts, and he had no business being in possession of the large amount of
foreign currency of which he was robbed by his
overnight companion. The media screamed for an
even application of the law, but Buhari had turned
suddenly deaf.
By contrast, Fela Anikulapo languished in goal for years, sentenced under that very draconian
decree. His crime was being in possession of
foreign exchange that he had legitimately received
for the immediate upkeep of his band as they set off
for an international engagement. A vicious sentence
was slapped down on Fela by a judge who later became so remorse stricken at least after Buhari’s
overthrow that he went to the King of Afro-beat and
apologized.
Lesser known was the traumatic experience of the
director of an international communication agency,
an affiliate of UNESCO. Akin Fatoyinbo arrived at the airport in complete ignorance of the new
currency decree. He was thrown in gaol in
especially brutal condition, an experience from
which he never fully recovered. It took several
months of high-level intervention before that
innocent man was eventually freed. These were not exceptional but mere sample cases from among
hundreds of others, victims of a decree that was
selectively applied, a decree that routinely
penalized innocents and ruined the careers and
businesses of many.
What else? What does one choose to include or leave out? What precisely was Ebenezer
Babatope’s crime that he should have spent the
entire tenure of General Buhari in detention?
Nothing beyond the fact that he once warned in the
media that Buhari was an ambitious soldier who
would bear watching through the lenses of a coup- detat. Babatope’s father died while he was in
Buhari’s custody, the dictator remained deaf to
every plea that he be at least released to attend his
father’s funeral, even under guard. I wrote an
article at the time, denouncing this pointless
insensitivity. So little to demand by a man who was never accused of, nor tried for any crime, much less
found guilty. Such a load of vindictiveness that
smothered all traces of basic human compassion
deserves no further comment in a nation that
values its traditions.
But then, speaking the truth was not what Buhari, as a self-imposed leader, was especially enamoured
of enquire of Tunde Thompson and Nduka Irabor
both of whom, faithful to their journalistic calling,
published nothing but the truth, yet ended up
sentenced under Buhari’s decree. Mind you, no one
can say that Buhari was not true to his word. shall tamper with the freedom of the press swore the
dictator immediately on grabbing office, and this
was exactly what he did. And so on, and on, and on.

DID HE ACTUALLY DRINK THE PURPORTED TEA ?
WHAT ABOUT SPRAYING POISONOUS GAS INTO HIS
NOSTRIL ! On the 8th day of June 1998 the day the Head of
State General Sani Abacha died the chief Security
Officer Major Hamza Al-Mustapha ordered me along
with Lt. Ikilama to move Chief MKO Abiola from Kado
Housing Estate to Gado Nasko Barracks and from
there all the 13 body guards attached to me were withdrawn except the driver and leaving the soldiers
of the Guards Brigade to take over the guard.But I
was still left behind to be bringing food to Chief MKO
Abiola as usual from the police officers mess Wuse
Zone 7. Chief MKO Abiola was informed of the death
of General Sani Abacha and the appointment of General Abdulsalami Abubakar as the Head of State
and Commander-in-Chief. he wrote letters to general
Abdulsalami Abubakar and the service Chiefs gave
them to me to Photostat them for him. He gave me
some copies to give to Major Hamza Al-Mustapha and
passed the rest to the rest to the respective owners. After the expiration of the second quarter allocation
of N800,000 (Eight Hundred Thousand naira) I
approached Major A. S. Aliyu Chief Security Officer to
general Abdulsalami Abubakar to collect the money
for the next quarter he only told me he had heard
me."On the day in question, the 7th Day of July 1998 at about 11.30hrs, the Chief Security Officer to
general Abdulsalami Abubakar Major A. S. Aliyu called
me on the radio set, asking me to see him his office. I
then proceeded in his office and he instructed me to
bring Chief MKO Abiola to Aguda House for an
interview to be hold by 1300 hrs."I then went back to the base and informed Chief MKO Abiola of the
interview and he asked me whether Major Hamza Al-
Mustapha was aware of the said interview, I told him
didn’t know because Major Hamza Al-Mustapha was
busy handing and taking over but I would see if I
could locate him to inform him."He asked me to bring his dresses which he would wear and also asked me to
give him 30 minutes to enable him get dressed. At
about 1230hrs the Chief Security Officer to general
Abdulsalami Abubakar Major A. S. Aliyu came to the
base. To the best of my knowledge, that was the first
time he knew that place, wanting to know if we were ready and I replied him almost ready. As we opened
the door the Chief was already waiting for us.
Together we went out and headed to Aguda House,
venue of the Interview."Before we all left the base,
chief MKO Abiola was in sound and healthy condition.
He did not complain to me of any illness. About 100 metres from the door stand of the Aguda House, the
controller from the control room called me on the
radio set and said, I quote, "30 BRAVO your LOG I
answered ALFA GOLFF UNIFORM DELTA ALFA, HOTEL.
And he said MAIG SERIA GOLFF from the OSCAR
FOSTRO FOSTRO OF CHALIE OSCA GOLFF SERIA you should ROMEO PAPA TANGO to see the subject INDIA
MIKE MIKE I answered RECEIVED."Meaning 2i/c
Prescort your present location. I answered Aguda
House and he gave the message from the office of
the Chief of General Staff and that you should see
the Chief of general Staff Admiral Mike Akhigbhe immediately please and I answered noted please."As
we arrived at the Aguda House door step, I led Chief
MKO Abiola inside the house and I took permission
from the Chief Security Officer to General
Abdulsalami Abubakar, Major A. S. Aliyu in whose
custody I left Chief MKO Abiola."He asked me to use his vehicle, leaving my vehicle at the door step where
it was packed. I then took his vehicle as entrusted
and left to see the Chief of General Staff Admiral
Mike Akhigbe at about 1310hrs and I came back from
seeing Admiral Mike Akhigbe at about 1350hrs, only
to discover that my vehicle was not there at the packing spot. On arrival, I saw one of my Body Guards
Sunday Pada standing by the side of the door. I asked
him where they had gone. He replied me they were
inside and that the Chief Security Office only sent
my vehicle to Aso-Clinic and as I was about to enter
the room, I met with the Chief Security Officer, Major A. S. Aliyu who told me that Chief MKO Abiola was not
feeling fine and after taking a cup of tea he coughed
and feel down."I quickly went inside and I saw Chief
MKO Abiola lying on the floor facing down. I called
him. for the first time he answered, and I lifted him
up and turned him upside and called him again for the second time he did not answer. At that time doctor
Sadiq Sani Wali from Aso Clinic arrived and about
examining the chief. I told him we should rush the
Chief to the clinic for proper treatment. Myself, the
Chief Security Officer, Major A. S. Aliyu, Doctor Sadiq
Sani Wali and the two white men standing lifted Chief MKO Abiola into my vehicle outside for onward
movement to Aso-clinic.Before getting to Aso-Clinic I
saw Dr. Sadiq Sani Wali pressing his (Abiola’s)
stomach up and down a kind of resuscitating him. As
we arrived the clinic, Chief M.K.O. Abiola was rushed
to the Emergency Room where I stood by with the doctors including the two white men and the Chief
Security Officer Major Aliyu until when Dr. Sadiq Sani
Wali later confirmed to us that Chief M.K.O Abiola
was dead."We came out of the Emergency Room and
the Chief Security Officer Major A. S. Aliyu phoned
the villa, I heard him saying to the ADC please, connect me to the Head of State I have an important
message for him. For about three minutes they
continued the discussion with the Head of State while
he was moving towards his vehicle outside. So I didn’t
hear what he was discussing with the Head of State
after the phone we both left for villa,"The questions to ask are:Who gave Chief M.K.O. Abiola tea in my
absence?Who tasted the tea before giving it to him?
And in whose presence was the tea tested?"The
questions are for the Chief Security Officer to
General Abdulsalam Abubakar; Major Aliyu to answer.
And I want to testify before this Honourable Commission that on the 6th day of July 1998 at about
2200hrs Kola Abiola the son to late Chief M.K.O.
Abiola his step mother; and about three of his sisters
were with their father at Aguda House until 0130hrs
of 7th July, 1998. I want to say categorically here that
his father Chief M.K.O. Abiola was in a sound and healthy condition.

Mayhem broke out at Toyota Bus stop, in front

JAMB releases 2013 UTME results, withholds 12,110 results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
The board, however, withheld 12,110 results for possible disciplinary action.
The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, announced this at a news conference on the release of the resultsin Bwari, FCT, on Friday.
The registrar said after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who sat for the examination,the board discovered some forms of malpractice perpetuated during the conduct of the examination.
“However, the results of 68,309 candidates from various centres are undergoing further screening to ascertain the culpability of 12,110 candidates’ results.“
A total of 1,629,102 candidates applied to sit for the Paper Pencil Test (PPT), while 15,008 candidates applied for the Dual Based Test, bringing the number ofcandidates to 1,644,110.
“The general performance of candidates in this year’s examination shows remarkable improvement compared with last year.
“Ten candidates scored 300 marks and above, while 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks.
“About 40,692 candidates’ results were invalid due to either multiple shading orno shading at all. After processing all the results, the board also discovered that about 47,974 candidates were absent.“
The registrar assured the candidates that their results could be accessed on the JAMB Website: www.myjambresult.comusing their registration numbers.
He said about 40 centres would be screened to ascertain their culpability and warned the public against Internet fraudsters.
“Information reaching JAMB shows Internet fraudsters are already telling candidates that their results could be upgraded in one form or the other. “
This is pure deceit, the public and candidates are hereby advised to disregard these fraudsters since they do not have access to our data.
“Let me once again state that candidates are allowed to change their choices of institutions and courses onceonly, this change has to be effected within two weeks from today. “
Ojerinde said the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place from May 18 to June 1 and appealed to candidates to reprint their e-registration slips afresh to further ascertain their CBT centres.www.punchng.com

Faces Of Boko Haram Sponsors
“Most of them (Northern governors), pay us monthly to leave their states alone”…that was one of the spokesmen for Boko Haram, Saidu Umar aka UsmanAl Zawahiri.
For eternity these lunatics have unleashed terror on the Nigeria state and its people. As at last Friday, death toll, policemen, soldiers and civilians’ hovers between 950 and 1200…and still counting.
While The Federal Government and its security chiefs have perfected how to write condolence speeches, the deadly sect continues to grow in strength, employing sophisticated tactics reminiscent of Al Qaeda modus operandi.
They have several times boasted about their ‘exploits’ and often reveled why they remain invincible. Top guns like Umar Sokoto, Baba Kuwa Fugu, Imam Abubakar, Sanda Umar, Ustaz Mohammed Yusuf (late), Uzairu Abba Abdulahi (late) and Zawahiri, have at different fora dropped hints about those behind them.
They have fingered governors, members of the national assembly, security operatives, emirs, etc. Today, we present the faces of those who have given financial and moral support to Boko Haram, right from the days of the Jos crises, and also give you snippets into their mindsets, or a brief profile.
This is the first installment. As time goes on we will continue to put faces to this sponsors and sympathizers.
Speaker Aminu Tambuwal says “ There is need to forgive them ( Boko Haram). We should bring them to the table and discuss with them to see how to end these problems”
Adamu Ciroma asked about moves by the Federal Government to seek the intervention of northern elders he said “I won’t talk about that”…asked about Boko Haram he said “ Boko Haram is a product of bad governance and it is the duty of government to try to ensure things are done properly”
Sacked IGP Hafiz Ringim allegedly, in concert with his lackey, Zakari Biu, ensured Umaru Sokoto, arrested in Abuja, varnished from Abaji. He ensured no photo or fingerprint was taken of such a high profile operative believed tohave masterminded the bombing of the church in Madalla. It was learnt that Sokoto had to be allowed to ‘escape’ because he had information on top sponsors including members of the Federal Executive Council.
Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano. In August 2011, ordered the release of all Boko Haram suspects in the state by security agencies. He had said, “there is no justification for their continued detention. If there is any member of thesect in detention, I am hereby calling on security agencies to release them. The Governor paid N10 million to the sect and provided training ground for them in the woods.
Former Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi pays N10 miliion per month, for protection, provides training ground in the back woods. According to him “ Boko Haram is not against Nigeria society, but protesting Social injustice, it is just a pressure group. Yuguda who minimized the murder of several NYSC members by jihadists also apologized tothe sect fro the 2009 crackdown. “ I apologize to members of Jamatu Ahlussunnah Liddawati wal Jihad for injustices caused them, “ he said last year.
Former Borno Governor, Ali Modu Sherriff had a Boko Haram representative in his cabinet. He was Fuji Foi who was later sacked and subsequently murdered under dodgy circumstances. He sponsored a militant group made up of Boko Haram operatives. The militant group was tagged ECOMOG. He also apologized to the sect for the crackdowns, and made substantial financial contributions.
Former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau administration in Kano made a monthly N10 million donation to the group. It was alleged that the Shekarau administration reached an agreement asfar back as 2004 to be paying a monthlysupport of N5 million to the group which was later raised to N10 million sometime in 2009.
Senator Ali Ndume currently being prosecuted for ties to the sect. He, according to members of the sect help put together threatening text messagesto prominent Nigerians.
He also made huge financial donations to the sect.
Former Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe, Sheidu Pinda, killed recently in a car crash, was a huge financier. He made millions of naira available for logistics and purchase of arms and ammunitions.
New IGP, M.D Abubakar was indicted twice for aiding jihadists in the strings of crises that engulf Jos, the Plateau state capital. The Justice Nikki Tobi recommended dismissal and warned that such a character could not be commissioner of police, which he was then.
Zakari Biu who was top gun at Zone 7 Abuja where Sokoto was initially locked up has ties to the sect. He was, during the Olusegun Obasanjo regime recommended for dismissal for misconduct and ties with militants, but he was suspended, and 10 years after smuggled back into the police by Ringim. He aided the escape of Sokoto.
Emir Of Suleja , Awalu Ibrahim, is a prominent sponsor and spiritual father of the sect. After the deadly bombing of a church in his domain, madalla, he refused to show up at the scene to condole with victim’s families.
He was subsequently queried by the state Governor, Babangida Aliyu. According to the state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulahi Bawa Wuse, the government found out that despite the retinue of people and frontline Nigerian leaders that had visited the victims and the bomb sites from across the country to express their sympathy with those involved, the traditional ruler neither sent words of sympathy nor visited the area.
