Will stick to Apple because over the past 9years using Apple products I have never been disappointed, never experience phone hang or system malfunction. Tho some other high end phone have very cool or cooler features, but if u want a phone that won’t disappoint u, iPhone is the phone. I have tried Samsung a couple of times (A3, S5, S8 recently as second phone) S8 very cool in fact thumbs up for S8 but Apple still.

Apple unveiled the iOS 12 during its WDDC conference on Monday, with new features for the iPhone and iPad including speed boost for even older devices, improved privacy and a host of new features.

The new iOS 12 will be available for any device running iOS 11 now, which means any Apple smartphone from the iPhone 5S or newer, and an iPad from the iPad mini 2 and iPad Air or newer, plus the sixth generation iPod touch.
Though the developer version is available now, the first public beta is due later in June, while the final release will be available in September for everyone.

SPEED
Apps will launch up to twice as fast as before, the camera should load 70% faster, and so should the home screen after the phone is unlocked, while even the keyboard should pop up in half the time. Apple said it has improved performance all over iOS, so everything should be at least a little quicker day to day, including for smartphones as old as 2013’s iPhone 5S.

MORE ANIMATED EMOJIS
iOS 12 is adding new Animoji to the roster available on the iPhone X, including a ghost, koala, tiger and T-rex. Users can now also generate custom emoji, similar to Samsung’s AR emoji, called Memoji, which they can make look like themselves. All the animoji can now also recognize when your tongue is sticking out.

NOTIFICATION
iOS 12 will support grouped notifications, so you’ll be able to interact with or dismiss multiple notifications from the same app at once. Grouped notifications show up in a stack to give you a sense of how many are waiting for you. Apple is also giving users more authority over which apps are allowed to send notifications that vibrate their phone. “Quiet” notifications will show up in Notification Center, but not on your lock screen. They also won’t make sounds or interrupt you in any way.
iPHONE ADDICTION
Apple is also making efforts to help people curb their addictions to their phones. New tools include Screen Time, which generates weekly Activity Reports showing app usage, how many notifications you receive and how often you pick up and use your phone. According to a new report from newtelegraphonline, Nigerians may soon begin to pay higher tariffs on calls and data as the telecommunications companies in the country brace up for a new cybersecurity levy to be implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

This is coming on the heels of a directive from the CBN to all banks on the collection of 0.005 percent levy on all electronic transactions into a National Cyber Security Fund.


Section 44 of the Cybercrime Prohibition and Prevention Act 2015, which the CBN seeks to implement, states that “there shall be paid and credited into the Fund established under subsection (1) of this section and domiciled in the Central Bank of Nigeria: a levy of 0.005 percent of all electronic transactions by the businesses specified in the second schedule to this Act.”


Businesses affected by this charge include GSM service providers – MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile etc. and all telecommunication companies; Internet service providers; banks and other financial institutions; insurance companies and Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).


However, speaking at a press conference in Lagos yesterday, the President of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Mr. Olusola Teniola, said the implementation of the levy is ill-timed, considering the fact that the telecom operators are currently battling with multiple taxations, which has risen from 26 in 2015 to 38 under the current administration.

Lenovo has been reported to be working on a new smartphone dubbed Lenovo Z5 which will give 4 terabytes of storage.

The VP (Chang Cheng) according to his post on Weibo, claimed that the upcoming Lenovo Z5 will feature 4 TB of internal storage. It isn’t clear from the translation whether he meant 4 TB of expandable storage (using SD cards) or built in storage. But the VP did give out a few numbers, which lead us to believe that he is indeed talking about internal storage.

In his post, Cheng broke down how much data a user can save on the upcoming Z5, He mentioned that the storage would be enough to for 2,000 HD movies, 1,50,000 music files and a whopping 1 million photos.

Indeed, that does sound like a lot, overkill in fact, when you consider that most smartphones on sale today offer a maximum of 256 GB internal storage.
