Police recruitment test successful, says Okiro The Chairman, Police Service Commission, Mr Mike Okiro, on Wednesday said the aptitude test for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force across the country was successful. He said this in a statement issued by Mr Ikechukwu Ani, the Head, Press and Public Relations of the commission in Abuja. Okiro, who is also the National Coordinator for the recruitment, said reports from the aptitude test centres showed that the exercise was orderly. He noted that there were initial hitches on the first day of the exercise, but that it had normalised on the second day. The PSC chairman explained that some of the problems were related to applicants who did not receive invitation through emails for the tests. He said that the commission had issued a statement asking such candidates to crosscheck their names on the master list pasted at the venues. He added that some of the applicants did not have email accounts but generated one at business centres which they never went back to check. Okiro said that state coordinators were directed to admit applicants who had no copies of their invitation through emails but had their names in the master list. The chairman said the commission would begin screening of documents and physical attributes of the Specialists on Aug. 29. The commission had shortlisted 110,469 applicants out of the 338,250 invited for the just concluded screening in 36 states of the federation and the FCT for the tests. The tests, which started on Monday, ended today at the various centres across the country. |

Recruitment: Police to use lie detector on
candidates
The Nigeria Police has said that it will subject
candidates in the ongoing recruitment
exercise to polygraph test (lie detector Test).
This was made known in a statement by DCP
Don AWUNAH, the Force Public Relation
Officer.
The statemnent read thus
'The Nigeria Police Force will subject
successful candidates in the ongoing
recruitment exercise to compulsory polygraph
test (lie detector Test) this test will be in
addition to the general background check,
biometrics, medical, physical examination,
aptitude, oral and psychological tests.
The Police will also conduct a thorough
verification of all documents submitted by
prospective candidates.
The Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim K.
Idris gave this directive while reviewing the
recruitment exercise so far and expressed
satisfaction with the progress made in
recruiting Ten thousand personnel into the
Nigeria Police Force. The IGP said that no
candidate will be admitted for training at the
Police academy and colleges without
undergoing these prescribed tests.
The Polygraph test is aimed at ensuring that
candidates are not of questionable character
and their behaviours conform with standard
rules of behaviour expected of an officer to be
recruited into the Force.
The Police Academy and other training
Colleges across the country will be equipped
to carry out the necessary tests.
The Nigeria Police Force is determined to
ensure that the current recruitment exercise
conform to acceptable standards necessary
for an ideal Police officer the Nigerian people
deserve. |

Pls house this zonal screening is it to write exams or medical test? More enlightenment |
![]() |
I wonder oooooooooo |
![]() |
Yes they can extend the slots by requesting for more slots without noise |
![]() |
I doubted d information because is not Solomon arase dat handle d recruitment nor requested d number of slots from d Presidency rather is a police service commission which empowered to carry out such act, IGP gone another 1 came on board does not affect d existing program. Moreover IGP himself is under d Police Service commission 2 Likes |
