BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: • Risk assessments remain an essential tool for effective decision-making in the industry and some aspects of risk assessments are legal requirement in many countries. • Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment promotes a pro-active approach towards effective and safe Facilities Design, Construction, Commissioning and Operations. • Hazard Identification(HAZID/HAZOP) and Risk Assessments(RA) are integral to the attainment of Asset Integrity objectives in the Oil and Gas industry. • Participants will be exposed to fundamental principles and practice of HAZID and RA in a practical format that enhances functional application of knowledge for Engineers, Operators and Technicians. • Operation Health and Safety management(HSE), serving as a valuable tool to the organisation in order to elevate the standard(s) of safety, meeting legal compliance and protecting persons from the hazards that they may potentially be exposed to. Effective Risk Assessments also protect Asset/Infrastructure, the environment and promotes a positive corporate image for organizations. 3.
