ogascomax: How you guys reason is beyond comprehension. How did PENGASSAN grounded and made the refinery not functioning. Are they federal government? Are they they once providing funds for the rehabilitation of the refinery. U should actually question your own reasoning, the FG provides the funds like u rightfully said, members of these criminal unions are the ones that carry out the day to day activities of the refineries, so who are we to blame for the mismanagement? |

floss: Any illegal activity or criminal activity you’re doing, back it with full government support… you’ll see that you’ll go as far as possible…
Some times I see very close similarities between Government and Yahoo Boys… their modus operandi is always similar,
“obtaining by false pretence “
Government uses Nigerian citizens to get soft loans and grants from international institutions and agencies, only to come back and loot the money.
The same false pretence that Yahoo Boys uses, because if those people giving out those loans knew that the said government is scamming them they wouldn’t be giving out those money to them What sense are u really making? Scamming who for loan that u are going to pay back with interest. |

aribisala0: Taxpayer support for Dangote refinery
Putting together the most reliably cited numbers:
CBN support via FX allotments / loans: ≈ US$2.7 billion (2013–2023) Nairametrics +1
CBN support in naira: ₦125 billion + ₦75 billion = ₦200 billion total in domestic currency support via at least two schemes (domestic cost cover + SMERRF). Daily Trust +2 TheCable +2
“Seed capital” of ₦75 billion reported in 2019 as part of the CBN’s contribution. Businessday NG
So overall, the CBN has provided several billion US dollars (for FX / loans) plus several hundred billion naira of domestic currency support. Tax payer support indeed. All the other trillions of naira tax payer’s support given by federal, states & local governments to businesses in Nigeria where is it? Na successful Aliko Dangote own, common man eye dey. Where is Nitel, where is Nepa, where are the government owned petrol chemical refineries? Na Aliko Dangote business, be una own. |
