Seun and Raymond were classmates at the university; Seyi graduated with a second class lower degree while Raymond had a 2.1 degree in Economics. Three months after graduation, Raymond got a job at a new generation bank while Seyi remained at home. Four years and six month down the line Raymond had enjoyed series of job promotions and movements around different banks, heading various units and departments. Seyi on the other hand was becoming wasted due to joblessness. they were both in their mid-thirties. Living in separate social class world. One afternoon, Seyi had a misunderstanding with his younger ones who were equally graduates and gainfully employed. They blatantly insulted him and in a bid to speak as the eldest child he was shouted down by his mom and called a nonentity right in front of his girl friend. Tears rolled down his eyes and his girl friend had to comfort him; giving him hopes. His mom went on and on and on... and even compared him with his class mate Raymond.

Seyi immediately acted on impulse, ran straight there and assisted the man in pushing the car off the road. Just after pushing, he opened the bonnet only to discover the cars' fan belt was broken and the car had over heated. They both sat patiently for the car to cool off while Seyi rushed to get a trusted mechanic to replace the belt. While the mechanic worked on the car, the elderly man engaged Seyi in a conversation which led to Seyi revealing that he was still unemployed after school. After the car had cooled off, the belt replace and car started, the elderly man thanked Seyi and handed him his business card. On it was written his full name and designation as the CEO of a popular manufacturing company. He told Seyi "I wont give you a job, i will make you a fine young man because you were kind to me; assemble the finest of mechanic you know in town and set up a truck and van servicing company, your company will service and maintain our over 200 fleets of vehicles".
Seyi, " I won't give you a dime for rent or space or for uniforms for your men" but if you show up in my office with a proposal to become our company's fleet maintenance company, i will approve the proposal and you will see why it is good to own the pond and not just learn to fish"
Two weeks after, Seyi visited and had his proposal approved. Today his service centers maintains over 300 fleets and has three outlets in Lagos, Kano and Abuja. More surprising was the fact that his service company now operates bank accounts in 6 separate banks including the bank Raymond currently works.
Today, Seyi is highly revered by his mom and respected by his sibling. He is married with kids and currently chairs the landlord association of his estate. He became successful because he failed, he became successful because he had a good heart, most importantly, he became successful because he was able to assemble mechanics and secure a space without a dime. He activated his inner sense and owned the pond.
