Acting President Prof Yemi Osinbajo is currently in Kaduna again with the Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau, General Umaro Sissoco. They were received by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Barnabas Bala Bantex.

Osinbajo's visit is the first Presidential movement into Kaduna Airport, since the closure of the Airport in Abuja.

i collected money from someone online and he went to court that he mistakenly transfer money into my account...and the court gave him affidavit to submit to the bank but he didnt submit it......he went to station to complain and the police order the bank to restrict my account, but i have refunded the money and the person went to the bank to tell them that they should unblock my account....but the bank said the sergeant will give order but the sergeant insist i must come to their station before she can open the account..........but people said i should not go even a police advise me not to....if i abadon it for some time will the case be forgotten.....and can another station request for the release of the account without the woman concern....

Renowned Nollywood Actress, Stephanie Linus-Okereke, was on Wednesday unveiled as the Regional Ambassador for Maternal Health in West and Central Africa Region.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole who was represented by Mr Greg Izuwa, the Deputy Director, Family Health, Federal Ministry of Health made the announcement at the unveiling ceremony organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Lagos.

The minister explained that Stephanie had been found worthy in character and in learning.

“We take that to what she is going to do as the ambassador.

“She went through rigorous screening before she was appointed.

“She has already been appointed, but we are now making the general public to know she is now the regional ambassador in West and Central Africa,’’ the minister said.

In her acceptance, Stephanie expressed her willingness to partner with UNFPA in order to create an enabling environment for women, girls and every young person to fulfill their potential.

“I will work closely with the fund to draw attention to the work that still needs to be done across the region to increase universal access to comprehensive sexual reproductive health services and information.

“This is to stop women from dying in the course of bringing forth new life, to empower women and girls to choose freely and for themselves,’’ she said.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo built a mosque complex and Islamic school in Abeokuta, Ogun state, to celebrate his 80th birthday anniversary.

The mosque was commissioned by the Emir of Ilorin. HRH, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Dan Kano and other dignitaries. Islamic Lecture was delivered by a renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Sulaiman Faruq Onikigipa.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is working in concert with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig the 2019 General Elections.

The governor made this assertion while speaking on Saturday during a thank you visit to Etche Local Government Area for their support to the PDP during the Supplementary Elections, Governor Wike said: "INEC is planning to rig the 2019 General elections.

Wike said "They claim they are re-deploying the 23 Electoral Officers in the state. But we have authentic intelligence report that INEC has consulted APC and they plan to post pliant Electoral Officers from APC states to Rivers State.

"These pliant Electoral Officers being handpicked from APC states are to help in rigging the elections in 2019 ".

Governor Wike said that no level of fraudulent postings by INEC to Rivers State will lead to a favourable ground for rigging elections.

"If they like, let them post their fathers to Rivers State, we will resist any attempt to rig the 2019 elections in the state. Our people will remain vigilant.

"They can rig in another state, certainly not Rivers State. For us, we must elect our representatives through the democratic process. Nobody will intimidate us", he said.

He noted that if INEC planned to re-position the electoral system, such reform must start from the top. The governor said reforms from the bottom smacks of hypocrisy.

He said: "The head is rotten. You have to cut off the head. They should first cut off the head before coming down to the lower rung of the ladder ".

Reacting to an article on Thisday Newspapers (https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2017/03/04/host-oil-communities-declare-fasting-prayers-for-buhari/) titled "Host Oil Communities Declare Fasting, Prayers for Buhari" which explained that the leadership of several oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta yesterday declared a period of fasting and prayer for the safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently in London, here's what Mrs Lauretta said below;

"WE LOVE PRESIDENT BUHARI - FACT!

I have said it many times that Niger Deltans love President Buhari. It's our thieves and their hired hands on the Social Media that have created the false impression that we, Niger Deltans, hate our President.

It would have been very glaring, had they let Niger Delta votes count during the 2015 election.

Moslems in the region have been praying for him. Now the leadership of several oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta yesterday, have declared a period of fasting and prayer for the safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari.....

President Buhari was elected to serve all Nigerians and he is proving himself to be a leader of all, including the Niger Delta.

Wife of Nigeria's senate president, Mrs Toyin Saraki has successfully reunited Iheoma, a victim of a hit-and-run driver with her sister Judith, in Abuja.

Iheoma who is currently receiving treatment at the Kubwa General Hospital in Abuja is yet to regain full consciousness.

Mrs Saraki had on Thursday posted the picture of the lady via her twitter handle @ToyinSaraki and urged Nigerians to help find her family.

The tweet which gained wide publicity and retweets succeeded in getting the attention of the victim’s sister, Judith who has now reunited with her.

Mrs Saraki later took to her twitter handle to announce the reunion and thanked Nigerians for their kindness.

She added that the forum of Senators’ Wives had already taken responsibility for her treatment.

According to Omokri, Amaechi's potbelly swapped its destiny with Rivers state treasury.

He said "Those who say I lied about Rotimi Amaechi's potbelly swapping destiny with Rivers state treasury should see picture evidence of the belly before he became governor and the belly after he became governor!"

Former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has blamed the `laxity and insincerity’ of the South African Government under President Jacob Zuma for the incessant Xenophobic Attacks on foreigners.

The ex-president condemned the attacks on Wednesday in Abeokuta when he received the leadership of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos who paid him a courtesy call.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Obasanjo described the development as a `betrayal’ of the struggle for the emancipation of the country against the apartheid regime.

He said: “I will apportion more blame to the leadership of the South African government.

“While the immaturity of the youths can be excused, the leaders ought to realise the importance of unity and brotherliness in Africa.

“While I blame the youths of the country for the attacks, I will blame the leaders of any country more that allows xenophobic attacks against fellow Africans for whatever reason.

Obasanjo also called on African leaders to ensure good governance for the overall development of the continent.

“African leaders should also step up measures at developing their countries and improve the living standards of their citizens.

“This will discourage our youths who because of underdevelopment and poor living standard seek greener pastures outside their countries.

“I feel disheartened learning that many of our youths perish while crossing the Sahara Desert or the Mediterranean Sea.’’ he said.
