not true, give me an example.dont mistake names like Ibrahim to be Arabic ibrahim means abraham
Sorry, I'm only learning. Are Arabic names not Islamic names? For some, I've been told the Islamic translations of these Christian names below:
David - Dauda
Moses - Musa
Solomon - Suleiman
Ishmael - Ismaila
Isaac - Isa
Abraham - Ibrahim, etc

Please tell me if I'm wrong

you know we ijebus are actually from jerusalem, we are then called jebusites, but after the war with isreal we migrated to egypt then there is a war btw us and egyptian then we migrated to other part of africans land before we came to ijebu land.
Wow! History upon history. There are many things unknown to us about our origins. Too bad we just have to stick only with those we can find in the books

My name for instance is Adeniyi meaning the crown with value, Rabiu or Rabbi my surname means Teacher

Mabadeje my compond name: Don't strip the crown.

Kehinde means the one that came last as in twins

Taiwo, Taiye or Tayewo means the one that came to taste the world

My mother use to tell me that i was the one that sent my second taiwo to come and taste the world, that i was the senior then we are very young, but anytime i remind my twins brother this, we would fight throughout that day, i later gave up and accept to be the junior so there will be peace
Funny grin grin grin
So Rabiu means Rabbi (teacher). Yoruba must have adopted it from Hebrew

Chi is not necessarily the same with 'chineke or chukwu'' and Onyinye will mean gift not God's gift unless the name is incomplete
Chi > god
Chukwu > Almighty God
Chineke > The Creator/God

You're right about Onyinye though. I should have said 'Onyinyechi'
