It is my delight to inform the general public and all prospective corpers deployed to serve in Borno and Yobes States that their compulsory 3-weeks Orientation Course has been moved and slated to hold in Gombe State.

This was revealed by Mr. David Markson, the State Co-ordinator of the National Youth Service Corps on Monday in a statement signed by Ms. Margaret Dakama, Head, Public Relations Unit in Gombe State.

According to Mr. Markson, the NYSC management had approved the deployment of 1,700 corps members for the orientation exercise, comprising Gombe State, 900, Borno State, 400 and Yobe State, 400.

According to him, the prospective corps members are expected to report at the NYSC temporary orientation Camp, Science Technical College, Amada, Kilometre 21, Bauchi-Gombe Highway from Thursday, November 15.

Therefore, all prospective corpers serving in Borno and Yobe Sates are to take note of this change in orientation venue.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PRRE-DEGREE ADMISSION

A. ARTS EDUCATION:

(i) All applicants Must possess at least credit passes in five subjects at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE organized by WEAC, NECO, NABTEB and should include mathematics, English Language and the subject of study;

(ii) Two of the five subjects must be from Arts while the third may be from the Social Sciences.

B. Agriculture, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences and Science Education, Technology Education and Educational Technology

All applicants must pass the following subjects at credit level:

English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two sittings in the SSCE/GCE organized by WAEC, NECO and NABTEB.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR UNILORIN REMEDIAL PROGRAMME.
Please note that faculty of Agriculture will only accept credit grade in Agricultural Science instead of credit grade in Biology.

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY
The preliminary programme is primarily opened to applicants from the Catchment States of the University of Ilorin, (i.e. Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION

All candidates who wish to study Engineering must obtain Credit grades in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and sit for Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics at the 2018/2019 JAMB/UTME;
All candidates must have written the 2018/2019 JAMB/UTME with relevant subject combination to any programme in either Arts or Sciences and must have obtained the minimum UTME approved cut off mark prescribed by the University;
Admission to chosen programmes will be offered on the basis of performance and available quota alloted to the chosen programme;
Applicants are advised to understand that the programme is residential;

Sequel to the release of YABATECH 2018/2019 ND admission list, the management of the Yaba College of Technology have opened the portal for subsequent admission to be offered to candidates who did not make the first list.


Thus, candidates who did not make the first admission list are by this communication advised to re-apply for other courses available at the institution for consideration for admission into the institution. So proceed to check the available courses and requirements for application below.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CHANGE OF COURSE

1. Candidates must have scored at least 150 in the UTME for ND Full Time and 180 for Degree Programme;
2. Must have scored at least 45% in the Post UTME Screening exercise;
3. Candidates are to ensure that they have the requisite requirements for the programme they are changing to as specified in JAMB 2018 brochure;
4. General Entry Requirement for National Diploma (ND) Full-Time and Degree Programme: SSCE (SSCE/NABTEB) with at least 5 credits obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects from the minimum entry requirements in JAMB Brochure.

We bring to the notice of the general public and particularly admission aspirants, that the authorities of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, have released the first and second supplementary lists of candidates offered provisional admission into the university in the 2018/2019 academic session.

The supplementary admission lists are for candidates who did not make the first admission list and subsequently applied for supplementary admission into the university.

ELIGIBILITY
It is open to all students and it covers for Bachelor’s, Master’s, PHD degree of the recipient. The following are required:
√ The student must have been accepted to a full-time program at a U.S. college or university or must be currently enrolled full-time in a U.S.-based college / university that is an MPOWER Partner University
√ The student must be either an international student (a non-U.S. citizen) on F1 visa status, a Green Card holder (permanent resident), or a DACA recipient
√ The student must be 18 years or older

BENEFITS
MPOWER is offering four (4) scholarships in total, with two (2) recipients chosen in April 2019 and the remaining two in October 2019. The value of each scholarship is $5,000.
