seunayantokun: I don't know how old you are but from the way you've spoken hiding behind this platform's facelessness, you're certainly immature. You shouldn't have just called people you don't know ignorant. If you need facts, ask and you'd be obliged. If you go on the Internet, you will get more than enough. At least, asking residents of Isawo, Igbo-Olomu in Ikorodu across Arepo (between Ogun and Lagos States) who were examples would have helped you. Can you kindly get in touch with them to find what their experience was? oh! na dat one u dey tok.....I was thinking he was talking of militancy in niger delta.......ikorodu axis militancy 2016 was normal one na bro 😂 |

NigerianAngelo: You are third largest, and nobody knows you?
1. Can you be 900k in Kano, 4.9M in Lagos, 300k in Borno, 7M in rest of North, 2M outside Nigeria, 6M in SS, 37M in South East all at the same time?
Funny OP
2. Count one to fifty-five million (55M) a bit
If a proper census is ever done (privately or publicly), the Igbos could be found to be the most populous tribe in Nigeria, ahead of 2. Hausa; 3. Yoruba; 4. Ibibio; 5. Fulani and 6. Ijaw.
Manage sixth (2m - 5m). the largest tribes in nigeria if proper cencus could conduct.. Hausa 19% Yoruba 18 Ijaw 15% Igbo 14% Fulani 10% |

kingmaster2009: Ijaw people were subjected to the civil war...Ojukwu subjected all other ethnic minorities and ride on the lesser population and influence...
Yiibo people have conquered the entire south-south region...their next mission is to conquer the entire southwest...and they have mapped out a strategy to do so... They have started implementing their heinous mission in the southwest through politics and with Peter Obi becoming the president of this country... They will perfect it while Yoruba people will not be able to do anything.... don't say what you don't know...Ijaws are not minority......and second, Ijaws were not part of biafra war, so there was no way what you said could happen. |

Politics › Re: Atrocities Perpetrated Against The Ibibio During The Biafran War by Captain8(m): 4:49pm On May 14, 2023 |
proeast: Lol, when the term SE/SS is used, there are cogent reasons for it. It's similar to the phrase Hausa/Fulani. The people of both regions are Christians and share similar worldviews. Again, there are significant percentage of Igbos/Igboid in SS.
If SS and SE agree to use the term in cohesion, I don't see how it benefits Igbos alone.
Talking about victims of war, I don't think the minorities suffered in isolation or were targeted by Igbos. That's not true. Many Igbos were also forcefully conscripted into the Biafran army when the war dragged on. It's similar to what is happening in Ukraine. Any country fighting a war will definitely forcefully conscript men if they realize that no one is voluntarily willing to join the army.
Also, during any war, especially a bitter civil war like that of Biafra/Nigeria. Desperate measures are always taken against saboteurs. You will see public executions, shoot at sight, stoning to death and other violent acts against saboteurs. They do this as a deterrent to others. If they don't, many would become saboteurs just to survive or out of greed.
As for SS indigenes liking SE, it has nothing to do with the civil war. The SS minorities have always been wary of Igbos because we are much more in number and also more enterprising in nature. It made minorities to feel insecure and threatened. There has always been cries of marginalization by minorities against Igbos even during the colonial times. You can Google about the Willinks commission. That commission was instituted by the British to look into the cries of marginalization by minorities but the report clearly stated that such was never the case. Igbos didn't marginalize minorities.
Anyways, nature made it necessary for SE and SS to forge a common front. However, if SS minorities decide they don't want to align with Igbos, it wouldn't affect Igbos as you think. Rather it will affect SS more. SS people are not treated any better than Igbos in Nigeria. It's just that you accept your subjugation willingly while Igbos don't. Remember that when Igbos were killed in the North during the 1966 pogrom, many SS minorities were also victims. During 2023 election crises in Lagos, many SS minorities were also victims. We may easily understand differences between Igbo & Ibibio, or Igbo & Isoko but to an average Northerner, there is no difference. Same applies to Yorubas. If Igbos fair better in Nigeria, it will rub off positively on the SS minorities and vice versa!
Again, your cities need Igbo investments to grow exponentially. Otherwise, you will just have infrastructure in place without much difference. The reason why ports in SS are not viable is primarily because of SS antagonism against Igbos. If there is unity of purpose, your ports would have been rivaling Lagos.
Asaba is growing today basically on influx of Igbo investments. Compare Calabar to Owerri and you will see that investments pouring into the Owerri has made it to surpass Calabar and the gap will continue to widen. So, don't think Igbos need you more than you need them. Igbos are not more than Ijaws in population........Ijaws are never afraid of anyone,,so there is no way the mighty Ijaw will fear common Igbo. Ijaws are not afraid of Igbos in population. The reason Ijaws were tagged minority and how they fear for igbo domination in the colonial era was because Ijaws were diveded in halves to both eastern region and western region....so the both halves became minorities to Igbos and Yorubas in the two regions...since then the name minority cover Ijaw till now |

gidgiddy: Nigeria is going to collapse and disintegrate. Do you know why? Nothing holds it together.
Nigeria has no unity, no commonality of purpose, no foundation and built on injustice
The country is heading no where except disintegration
When Nigeria finally collapses we Igbos are going form our own separate country. What Ibibios, Efiks, Ijaws and others do is their own business
The process of breaking up has already started, large chunks of the North is already in the hands armed hoodlums you are 100% correct.... nigeria cannot last forever |

Psalmistproject: They started killing everything that comes from both South South and South East up north and you run back to your villages. Nigerian government then unleashed hunger seige on the overflowing population of returnees that one no do you. Now the man incharge of the South said he's taking his people out of Nigeria to also save you from imminent destruction from the north but your problem is that they should not force you to agree. Just imagine, under military regime o. So, after many years how are you fairing living in the defeated state you aided Nigerian northern troops to achieve.
One day the South East will still secede and will accommodate the coastal States. Any objection to that will obliterate the entire country to Oblivion. You can't landlock a major Ethnic group because they named you South South. You either join them or create coastal part for their trade route. Then you have to defeat Ijaw republic...

Politics › Who Introduced George Rapper In Nigeria by Captain8(op): 4:12pm On May 14, 2023 |
Did you know?
It is difficult to say exactly who introduced the George wrapper (traditionally known as Injiri in Ijo land) into Ijo land, while some scholars agree that it was an European merchant named GEORGE Goldie who was the founder of the Royal Niger Company in 1870s that first introduced this fabric into Ijo land, thus the wrapper was named after him as ''George wrapper''. Other scholars equally agree that the George Wrapper was first introduced into Bonny by King GEORGE Oruigbiji Pepple 1 of Bonny (reigned between 1866-1883) after his sojourn in England. From Bonny the wrapper became very popular and soon got to neighbouring Ijaw kingdoms until it even got as far as the heart of igbolands, thus the wrapper was named after him, yet another set of historians believe that neither of the above postulations are correct about the origin of George wrapper because the authentic origin of George wrapper into Ijaw land was in 1910 when King George of England visited southern Nigeria and women in ijaw land were given these wrappers by the British colonial government to wear and welcome the English King. My Ijaw people, have your say.

gidgiddy: Arewa Youths once threatened Igbos and gave them 3 month notice to leave the North, none of them were arrested
Minyetti Allah has severally backed the murderous killer herdsmen and their campaign of terror, none of the leadership of Minyetti Allah has ever been arrested
FUNAM(Fulani Nationality Movement) have threatend people for grazing rights, they even wrote a threatening letter to the sitting Governor of Benue not to implement anti-grazing or face consequences, no one was arrested
MC Oluomo, Oba Lagos and others can say anything without fear of arrest
Frederick Nwajagu, the ceremonial Eze Ndigbo Ajao estate, made a short video where he lamented that Igbo lives and businesses were being attacked in Lagos, and that Igbos need private security. He opined that IPOB should be brought to Lagos to protect Igbo businesses when they close for the day, to deter those attacking Igbos. He also said that Igbos are not trouble makers and are not fighting Yorubas, but that Igbos should be allowed to vote their choice.
At no time did he threaten anyone, at no time did he threaten violence, at no time did he encourage any violence, if anything, he was after security and peace
For that, the authorities arrested this man of almost 70 years old, and charged him with terrorism.
Had the Sarikin Fulani of Ikeja, if such exists, said the exact same thing Nwajagu said, would he have been arrested?
Had the Baale of Dolphin estate, if such exists, said the same thing Nwajagu said, would he have been arrested?
Nwajagu was targeted just for being an Igbo man
The stupidity of this case is truly baffling because you cannot be talking about terrorism, and the protection of life and property in the same breath. Terrorism is about the destruction of life and property, not the protection of it.
The only thing the authorities want to do is charge the old man to court so they can go on with their useless adjournments, same as they are doing with Nnamdi Kanu
Some people might say he invited IPOB, a terrorist organisation to Lagos, is mentioning IPOB now a crime? Why the case is very weak is that nobody even knows what the Eze Ndigbo meant by "IPOB"
The man could easily go to court and say he meant the "Igbo people of Benin" and case will totally collapse on its head since nobody is his head to tell him what he meant
The case is pointless hmmm!!! oboy! If you were to be a lawyer, your clients will be entering jails anyhow. |
