The easiest way to ensure you don't get misled or deceived is to get a comprehensive history report before you buy any car. In this case however, because the Prado was not sold in North America, ownership and other details may not be easily accessible. The specs, including the factory colour, year of production and model year etc would still be vital to avoid scenarios like this, especially when one considers that sometimes the VIN may also be tampered with to match the more recent physical appearance of the car, in which case one would need to analyse the VIN carefully. Abiolamac:Hello Sir You would need a comprehensive history report detailing the odometer or mileage history, among other vital information, spanning from when the vehicle was manufactured till when it was shipped to Nigeria The mileage history would indicate whether the mileage was adjusted while the vehicle was still in use in the US, or after it was exported to Nigeria.
