HOW TO PROCESS A DEALER LICENCE An individual/firm is expected to have a dealer licence before he can engage in buying and selling of cars. It is also important for unregistered vehicles to carry dealer number plates when plying the roads. The law enforcement agents have been placed on high alert to stop the trend of driving unregistered tokunbo vehicles on the main road without an identification tag - dealer number plate. REQUIREMENTS FOR PROCESSING DEALER LICENCE The following are required to process a dealer licence: Photocopy of CAC certificate showing your company name. Photocopy of a valid identity card issued by the government such as Driver's licence, International passport, Voter's card or National ID card. Two letter-headed papers of the company Two passport photographs of the car dealer. WHAT WILL YOU GET? 1) A dealer certificate/licence valid for a year (January to December). Renewable annually. 2) Three pairs of dealer number plates that can be used on three cars. |
