Not Too Young to Love 💕 |
The Florence collected the package and left. "That's my daughter," Madam Evelyn said, scarcely above whispers. "She's a fresher in the polytechnic and she came unannounced some hours ago. We won't be able to chat much right now.' I nodded. "I understand. In that case, let me be on my way.' She grinned. "Okay, Nini, we'll chat later." "Alright." I nodded again and left her flat. So, she already had a grown up daughter! I shouldn't be surprised. That girl should be about eighteen. Hmn.... I drove home, thinking about Madam Evelyn . I would certainly need to find out things about her. Along the way, I brought bread and akara that would serve as my dinner. That was the way with me as a bachelor. I ate my dinner and thought about Madam Evelyn again. Some minutes after ten that night, she sent a WhatsApp message to me. "Hello, are you asleep?" she wrote. "Can we chat?" "Yes. First, I want to know your marital status." "I'm still single. And you?" "I'm single." "Good. When Florence returns to school tomorrow, we'll have privacy in the house." "Okay. 😃." "Meanwhile, do you like talking dirty? Can we talk dirty now?" "Sure. Let me start. What's the size of your boob?" You can get the full story @ https://selar.co/vr2u84 |

This is an excuse for non performance. Nigerians expect better than this. |
After he initially denied the allegation. Public officers must always conduct themselves with decorum. Above all, they should remember that power is transient. |
Goodness, this woman was bold and loud. "It will be a pleasure for me too to get close to you," I found myself saying. "Very good. We'll chat on WhatsApp later. This is my WhatsApp number. Is this your WhatsApp number too?" "Yes, madam. This... this is my WhatsApp number." "Good. Until later." She cut the line. I was amazed by the turn of event. She didn't even tell me whether she would be coming to pick her items up or we should send it to her through despatch rider. So, Madam Evelyn liked me and would want a relationship with me? No problem, two can play the game. But wait a minute. Was she not supposed to be married? I would need to find out from her. If she was married, that would be no go area for me. I had always made it a principle not to frolic with married women. Maybe she was a divorcée or a single mother. No qualms. I would soon find out. A WhatsApp message beeped on my phone. It was from Madam Evelyn. She wrote her address in the message and asked me to help her deliver her items when I closed from work. So fast! This Madam didn't waste time at all. And to think that I would be the one to deliver the items! Okay, madam. I'll come around by nine p.m., I replied The address she sent showed that she also lived at Ogba. That was okay. The store closed by nine. I didn't forget to take her items with me as I drove home. Some twenty minutes later, I was at the outside of the number of her house. It was a storey building that had flats. I called her number. "Madam, I 'm already outside the building." "Good," she said. "I'll send some one to bring you up to my flat." "Alright." About a minute later, a girl opened the gate and peeped out. "Are you Uncle Nini?" she asked. 'Yes." "Please follow me." I went with her inside the building. The flat was on the right side of the first floor. Madam Evelyn was in the sitting-room, sipping from a glass of juice. "Good evening, madam." I handed her the parcel. "Good evening, thank you so much." She turned to the girl. 'Er... Florence, come and take this to the bedroom." The Florence collected the package and left. "That's my daughter," Madam Evelyn said, scarcely above whispers. |

It is a problem of misplaced priorities. The government will rather spend trillions of naira on constructing coastal highway than fix or repair major roads. |
This is one of the reasons Nigeria is held down. In this critical economic situation that the country is going through, what a legislator could think of is buying new aircraft for Mr. Vice-President. Why is it that our leaders always have misplaced priorities? |
Hmn.... Fani is right. Kemi should watch what she says. You don't say because of what you intend to have ahead, you will despoil what you left behind. That's not right. |
I am not surprised. Nigerian leaders are so self-centred. |
Pray? Does he need our prayers? |
Anything to stay relevant. |
Nigeria is a nation in a poor, sorry state. Only God can help and change Nigeria for good. |
A real fight to finish. By nature, the world must have conflicts. It is unfortunate that bloody conflicts are one of them. |
Na wa o. If you masturbate, wahala. If you don't masturbate, trouble. I think it only calls for moderation and gradual stoppage instead of sudden one. |
Nice one. Blessed is the linguist. |
She smiled. We promised to call each other later and she left. Phew! What an experience that was. *. *. * Some days later, I was in my small cubicle office at Ikeja when one of the customers came in to complain about some products she bought days ago. The business I managed dealt with cosmetics, hair wigs and sundry items. It was a flourishing business and most of our customers were women. I assured the woman that complained that her matter would be looked into. I apologized, got her number and promised to get back to her. "I hope it's not what you will forget about as soon as I stepped out of here," she said. "Oh no, madam. I promised I would get back to you within the next twenty-four hours." "What's your name?" she asked. " Nini." "I'm Evelyn. I'll be expecting your call. Later that I called her number and told her she could come the following morning to get new items or she could forward her number to me so that the despatch rider would deliver the items to her." "I like and must commend your fast response to the complaint," she said. "That was very professional and efficient of you." "Thank you, ma." "I will like to get to know you better if you don't mind." My heart started beating fast. Why would she want to know me better? I was just a guy in my late twenties. This woman we were talking about could not be less than forty-five. "Listen Nini, I'm a woman who doesn't shy away from baring my mind. I like you and will like us to get close." Goodness, this woman was bold and loud. |

Those who are truly in the service of God don't retire! |
... |
There's nothing to be proud of in this. In this hardship, someone is trying to prove that he is well off. It is a mentality worse than what the leaders are doing. |
Despite our claims to communalism, black folks have been doing harm to one another for ages |
Even if he knows, as long as something meaningful is not done about it, it is as bad as not knowing. Government needs to be sensitive to the needs of the people. |
Until the government does ALL these, I will NOT believe. It's always easy to make promises. Let government go ahead and do the talk. |
I don't think the World Bank really means well for this nation or any developing country. It's unfortunate we depend on them. |
But the salaries paid to workers are enough, right? Nigerian leaders are so self-centred. That's one of the reasons the country is at this low ebb. |
Government should take that advice too: prioritise basic needs and be prudent. |
Overdoing things always have negative effects. Have sex responsibly. |
