CelebritiesSpeed Darlington Accuses Portable Of Using Charm In Celebrity Fight by cathodekazim(op): 2:11pm On Apr 19, 2025
Nigerian singer, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has accused fellow artist, Badmus Okikiola, also known as Portable, of using charms commonly referred to as juju, during their recent celebrity boxing match.

The bout, which took place on Saturday, was part of the ‘Chaos In The Ring’ event, organised by Game Rush and Balmoral Promotions.

The event followed the organisers’ previous boxing showcase held in December 2024, as well as the launch of Friday Fight Night in February 2025.

In a video posted to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Speed Darlington alleged that his shoulder became dislocated during the match, despite not experiencing any significant fatigue.

He suggested that his opponent may have introduced native charms into the ring, which, in his view, influenced the outcome of the fight.

Portable emerged victorious in the encounter, which has since generated widespread attention online.

According to reports, tensions between the two artists escalated after Speed Darlington offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at an event, an offer Portable reportedly found insulting.

Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Calls Tariffs "Economic Revolution", Says China The Most Hit Country. by cathodekazim: 5:44pm On Apr 05, 2025
This post from Donald Trump reflects an alarming level of hypocrisy, naivety, and a lack of understanding of the broader economic realities. First, the very claim that China has "treated us unsustainably badly" ignores the fundamental fact that trade relationships are reciprocal. If America has been taken advantage of, it's because of decades of bad policy choices that were made under his watch and by his predecessors—many of whom were his allies. Rather than acknowledge the mistakes of past administrations, Trump has chosen to scapegoat others and deflect attention from his own failings.

Moreover, his assertion that America is somehow "bringing back jobs and businesses like never before" rings hollow. In reality, the jobs he's referring to often come with low wages, unstable benefits, or are part of industries that are fundamentally unsustainable. The illusion of job creation ignores the reality of automation and globalization, forces that no amount of rhetoric can undo. The promise of "more than five trillion dollars of investment" is another hollow boast, as such figures often fail to address the underlying issues of income inequality and the deepening wealth gap that his policies have exacerbated.

Trump's rhetoric also ignores a critical point: the policies that hurt other countries will eventually rebound on America. The imposition of tariffs and trade wars, meant to "bring back jobs," often results in higher costs for consumers and undermines the very businesses he claims to support. If we continue down this path, the fallout will be a trade war that damages American workers more than it helps them—an irony that's lost on his supporters, who continue to cheer on policies that ultimately hurt their own economic stability.

The hypocrisy of those supporting Trump is just as glaring. They cheer on a president who touts his "economic revolution" while actively undermining the social safety net and reducing funding for the very public services that would help ordinary Americans weather these economic challenges. They blindly follow a leader who engages in crony capitalism, enriching himself and his allies, while leaving the vast majority of Americans struggling.

Rather than "making America great again," we are heading toward a future of increased division, weakened global standing, and an economy that benefits the rich at the expense of the working class. Trump’s promises are nothing more than empty slogans, and the reality of his policies will be a historic failure for America—one that his supporters will eventually have to confront.

Foreign AffairsRe: US Hits Thai Officials With Visa Sanctions Over Deportation Of Uyghurs To China by cathodekazim: 12:57pm On Mar 15, 2025
Donald Trump continues to make enemies on the global stage, and his latest sanctions on Thai officials for deporting Uyghur Muslims to China only add to the growing list. While human rights concerns should be addressed, his approach often seems more about power play than genuine concern for justice.

I’m beginning to see parallels between Trump and the figure described in the Bible as 666—a leader who manipulates systems to serve his own agenda. Watch how he resists leaving office after his term ends. By then, he may have already reshaped the electoral and legal framework to suit his ambitions. His tactics suggest a leader who thrives on division and control rather than unity and democracy.

The question remains: How far will he go, and will the world allow it?

Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Vows To Retaliate EU 50% Tariff, Calls Union 'Most Hostile In The World" by cathodekazim:
And then European nations retaliate with their own 250% tariffs on U.S. goods. Who bears the brunt of this trade war? Certainly not the politicians making these decisions, but the everyday citizens who rely on these goods and services.

Trump, in his usual fashion, seems to believe that the United States is immune to consequences—as if the global economy operates in a vacuum. He envisions a world where America dictates terms without repercussions, forgetting that international trade is a two-way street. What goes around always comes around. If the U.S. slaps excessive tariffs on other nations, those nations will respond in kind, and in the end, it's the consumers and businesses that suffer from rising prices and economic instability.

But beyond Trump’s flawed approach, this escalating tariff war should serve as a wake-up call for all nations. Too many countries have built their economies on dependencies, relying on imports for essential goods rather than investing in self-sufficiency. This kind of over-reliance has made them vulnerable to the whims of global politics. Instead of constantly playing defense in trade wars, nations should focus on strengthening their industries, producing what they need, and reducing their dependence on any single country.

The world needs balanced trade, not economic brinkmanship driven by ego. If leaders continue to treat international trade like a game of dominance, the people will continue to pay the price.

I dated this lady for three straight years of extremely toxic relationship. Fight everyday. Thought I was in love with her but I was all infatuation. Quit every toxic relationship now
