This is not the matter of being overwhelmed but a fight back. If Nigerians fought back then those killed while fighting back are heros and not being killed innocently like a chicken.

I guess you're right, the best option in my opinion would have been to liquidate their assets and leave.

Are Ekiti indigenes cut from a different cloth from other S'Westerners? It's puzzling that they support impunity and lawlessness with such myopic vigour that blinds them to the fact that they are holding the short end of the stick. Time will tell.

Ekiti people are utter dolts, politically speaking. I travelled there during the elections. Fayose has them in his pocket.
