That Webhost is totally a mess, I regret hosting my site with them, they frustrate me till I vex go buy vps, since then, I haven't encounter any unusual downtime and other shits in my blog

you should please. a lot of people need to know a lot of things. there is a silent hosting company that i use now. i cant just talk much. its just a lot better than them.

We all have experiences like this one. I just started patronizing some Nigerians hosts for some of my clients and even the best of them all can be a mess. Let's not even talk about their support system. A total mess.

MY FRIEND RUN FROM SMARTWEB...I started my site : [url]smartgeek.com.ng[/url] with them, but i kept running into downtime everyday..i kept on disturbing them but they give stupid reason...i paid for a year around June by August i had to ditch them for Namecheap and since then have only experienced downtime once in 4 months and that was because of a script i changed. MY ADVICE: Pack your bags...My domain is still with them tho, but my hosting NO HELL!!!

i like to share with you my experience with One of the Nigeria's Acclaimed best web hosting platform. This write up is based on personal experience and not subject to general opinion about them. I decided to use SmartWeb just 10months ago just after my former hosting platform (Dgr8cali Hosting) was a total mess. With respect to what one of their representatives told me in a pre-sale chat, i descided to move to them.
The first issue i had was, migrating my files,(they were 11 websites in all), they promised to help migrate the files, which was said to be an addon to buying their premium hosting plan. i had to move my files myself. their excuse was that the files were too large. (1)

After that was done, the first two months seemed smooth, until i figured that my sites wont just come up. checked on different devices, using different internet connections. infact, sometimes client will be then one to call my attention to that fact that their website is not coming up. sounds quite un-professional on my side. Although if you call they will pick-up, but your call is useless, you will still have to send support ticket, in most cases, in a mater of hours, you get a reply, but the replies sometimes aint just what you want to hear. (e.g. Hello sir, sorry for replying late, the website is up and running from our side here, please kindly check your internet connection or try another, do let use know if this issue persists), and i'll be like, is it not thesame interest that i use to open support ticket? I'll rate their uptime 49% (2)

Furthermore, comparing my other hosting site to smartweb.... attached are screenshots. i joined the other one (name withheld, so it doesnt seem like i am advertising them), Started using them 2012, joined smartweb, 2016. Number of tickets opened till date depicts that web hosting is really a serious business. (3)


Conclusion: You can risk like i did. Although this issues i'm facing may be particular to me. But my advice? Don't go near fire.
