I'm just asking out of curiosity because I don't understand why you will be so emotional about a car whose VIN was tampered with like it is normal. Even the seller of the car couldn't get back to clear the air on the matter despite knowing how seriously the buyer wanted to acquire such a Mercedes.

Can you pay for such a car with tampered VIN without thinking twice about it? Answer a YES or NO, and don't come up with a nonsense epistle.

I paid for a Toyota camry last year and it had Vin issues, heaven did not fall and it wasn't a stolen car. I'm still using the car today and the issue has been rectified so kini big deal

Story story story!! If u aren't 100% certain it's a stolen vehicle "dont falsely accuse or defame"
People get sued/jailed for defamation and this is how trouble starts from where they least expected it.

If not that scanner was taken along and was used on the car, the car would have been paid for. That shows that it is essential one uses a scanner on any car one intends to buy in other to avoid a vehicle that its vin has been tampered with for whatever reason.
