2. Mercy Akide Date of Birth: August 28, 1975 Mercy Akide aka Marvelous is Super Falcons highest goal scorer till date and her style of play were similar to Rashidi Yekini of Super Eagles. She represented Nigeria in three World Cups [1995, 1999 & 2003] and two Summer Olympics [2000 & 2004] and was named the 1999 African Women Footballer of the Year. In 2001 she was named the first African Women Footballer of the Year and was a 1999 and 2004 FIFA World All-Star. She has played for Nigeria in three FIFA Women's World Cups and also helped Nigeria's Super Falcons to three African Women Championships (AWC) titles in 1998, 2000 and 2002. Florence Omagbemi Date of Birth: February 2, 1975 Fondly called [skippo] during her playing days, she was the first captain of the Super falcons and led the team to their best ever performance at the 1999 FIFA World Cup. Skipper was comfortable playing either in the midfield or the defence. She was in four World Cups [1991, 1995, 1999 & 2003] and 2000 Summer Olympics. She is also the second female coach the Falcons have had winning the 2016 AWC in Cameroon with the team. Skipper!!!

6. Cynthia Uwak Cynthia Uwak (born 15 July 1986 in Akwa Ibom State ) currently plays for Åland United in the Naisten Liiga in Finland. She is also a member of the Nigeria national football team . Uwak competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics [3] and the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. She missed out on the squad for the 2010 African Women's Championship in South Africa following an injury. It was stated at the time by coach Eucharia Uche that this would not automatically mean that she would be left out of the squad for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup during the following year. However, when the World Cup squad was announced, Uwak was not listed. No specific reason was given for her omission, with a general statement saying "The coach has strictly gone with players that are capable of doing the country proud at the World Cup in Germany". She was considered for a return to the national team by coach Florence Omagbemi in 2016 for the Africa Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon. She commanded her box with authority during her playing days. She was named twice on the African Women's player of the century list compiled by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics(IFFHS) in 1999. She once played for Nigeria while carrying a pregnancy at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and the AWC later in that year. Brave!!!
