Good Morning guys.

Just a recap of what you need for the application

1. Decide on the course you want to apply for. Your choice of course should be based on the relevance of the course in the labour market now and in the future.

2. Check if you are eligible for the course you have chosen. This is very important because you will be disqualified if you are ineligible. Pls take this seriously. You can chat me up to check your eligibility status.

3. Get all the necessary documents required for the application. The documents are as follows

a. Original certificate/statement of results.

b. Nysc certificate

c. Professional certificate if you have. If you dont have no worries.

d. Passport photograph white background

4. After you have checked all the boxes for the required documents, then go ahead to pick the form.

Unilag postgraduate admission is transparent, if you meet the cut off mark you will be admitted, you dont need to be an alumnus of

Take your time and prepare for the entrance examination/fill your application form nicely and accurately

Please I want to ask how strict are they with their requirements. I did geoscience and I want to apply for Project Management, I have almost 4 years experience and I am about to write my Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI. From the requirements, I don't thick off the boxes so I want to know if I should go ahead or forget about it?

They are very strict.

Please ensure you are eligble with the course you are applying for.

a) Professional degree in Architecture such as B.Arch., M.Sc., M.Tech., M.Arch., MED or Honours degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban & Regional Planning.
(b) Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit in Architecture, Building, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban & Regional Planning.
(c) In addition, candidate must be corporate member of their respective professional institution such as: NIA, NSE, NIOB, NIQS, NIESV, NITP or foreign equivalents.
(d) Candidate must have five (5) years Post Graduation experience in their respective fields.

Let me say it here again because most of you come to my DM to ask me same question.
If you have your original certificate, you don’t need a transcript. Your original certificate suffices.
You only need transcripts when you are applying with notification of result.
Kindly confirm that you are eligible for the course you are applying for. The fastest way to get disqualified is by applying for the course you ain’t eligible for.

I will also advise you get the past questions and start preparation early.
Remember Unilag postgraduate admission is highly competitive.
The earlier you start the better for you.

A quick one

1. Before you apply for any course ensure you are eligible for it, you can always chat me up to help you check. Dont apply for any course based on assumptions.

2. The sale of form will go live from April 7th and will end 24th July

3. If you have original certificate you dont need transcripts.

4. If you are applying with statement of results you need transcripts. But I always advice my students not to submit their transcripts at the application stage, wait until you are admitted before you forward your transcripts to avoid waste of money.

5. You dont need reference letter.

6. Application is done 100% online, consequently you dont need to submit anything to the dept.

7. Entrance exam will be conducted at the end of sale of application form.

8. Unilag postgraduate admission is 98% by merit.

9. Get the past questions and start preparing for the entrance examination, the earlier you start your preparation the better for you. You can contact me for your past questions.

I have B.Tech in Science Laboratory Technology (chemistry). I will like to know if I can go for Msc in Chemistry. Thanks.

The course is open to candidates with Bachelor’s (honours) degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry with minimum of Second-Class lower Division from the University of Lagos or any other recognised University.
