What do you know, the German machines do what they do best.
. . . And England are the supposed fourth favourite behind Spain,Brazil and Argentina undecided
Sports › Re: World Cup Group F: Italy Vs Paraguay[1-1] @ 7:30 Pm Nig. Time On 14/06 by chic2pimp(m): 3:50pm On Jun 13, 2010
I predict a score draw. Italy are well known for not starting tournaments well but once they pick up momentum, they become hard to defeat.

spot on Mbulela.

The Italians have a very easy group angry

its like they fixed it, nothing's impossible in mafia land grin

I wish Slovakia and Paraguay upsets them , cuz they will seriously deal with New Zealand, grin
Will you shut up dia. Nonsense and Ingredient angry angry angry angry

honeric01:
Don't be surprised to see Italy not make the round of 16.
Well tbh I would be suprised. Forget friendlies the azzuris don't take em' seriously.

medjai:
Apart from Di Natele and Alberto Gilardino the rest of the Azzuri's attackers have had a rather horrendous season. Vicenzo Iaquinta and the entire Juve team have been exceptionally poor. Giampaolo Pazzini and Quagliarella have been average. Di Natele was the highest goal scorer in the Serie A with 28 goals, but he finds it hard to replicate his club form for country, scoring just 5 goals in over 30 appearances. The Azzuri's might goals hard to come by but will rely on an experienced midfield with Andrea Pirlo, Genarro Gattuso, Mauro Camoranesi and Daniele De Rossi, who was exceptional with Roma. Their strong point will as usual be the defence. The defence is a blend of experience with the likes of Cannavaro, Giorgio Chiellini, Gianluca Zambrotta and youth in Domenico Criscito and Leornadi Bonnuci. They have the superman, Gianluigi Buffon, in between the sticks but he isnt quite the Buffon we used to know and has had a poor season with Juve. Qualification wont come easy for the Azzuri's here.
Tbh I ain't too worried about our strikers. They will come good when it matters and if they don't, our midfield, defence and Goalie would make up for em'. Also Buffon had a poor season by his very very high standard cuz he was struck down by numerous amount of injuries.

Giovinco, Santon, balotelli, Acquafresca, Santacroce.

These are the youths being ignored by the Azzuri while Zambrotta, Gattuso and Canavaro at old age are still in the team
Tbh, although Santacorce was fantastic the season before, he was average this season.
Santon shoulda been selected and he probably would have had he played regularly. Lippi does not seem to like Balo likewise Cassano who had a brilliant season(both are headcases).
Man Utd 4-0 AC Milan.
The Inter Milan side that won the UCL have no Italian player in their starting XI.
So what are we talking about here? Rooney is better than any Italian player as we speak(no question about it)!!!
Doesn't really matter if there was a Italian player or not, all that matters is that an Italian team are current European cup holders plus lest we forget the Azzuris are world champs.
Besides how does the Milan result relate to the fact that Epl players are shitty during international competitions?

Fabio Quagrelia is one huge dissappointment.

And what is happening to the career of Giovinco
Blame the Juve Board. The Likes of Secco and co.
If he was in Milan, he would not only be in the Azzuri squad but also in the starting 11. He would be fufilling the exact same role Ozil is for the Germans.

Yes!!!
Compared to their La Liga,Serie A and Bundesliga counterparts.
And yet the EPL players produced more players in the world cup than any other league.
It's all about quality not quantity.

I knew you'ld try to spread the illluck, but no we'll pass.

I think the premeirleague player have worked themselves tired in the course of the season. There would still bes few injury scares b4 the whorl cup starts proper and at the end of it,many will join on the injury sidelines. Rooney own sure cos them go run am over
I beg to differ. Rather it's a case of premier league players not wanting to disgrace themselves in International competitions like they always do. This supposed injuries are charades.

RuuDie:
Di Natalie & Quagliarella - useful fellas.

But isn't Gilardino & Iaquinta more of hoping to re-live case of past glory huh And they look the favored starters!?
Lippi should start Gila and di natalie up front with pirlo just behind as the fantatista. Pirlo body can no longer cope with demands of a midfield player. Besides as virtually our only create spark left(camo is injured), we don't want him worrying about defensive duties.

dayokanu:
Chickenshrimp,

How many goals have those Italian strikers scored for their national team
It doesn't really matter how many goals ours strikers have scored. Our Goalie, defence and midfield will make it irrelevant.
Don't mind those useless Azurris. . . . .They are trying to belong to that elite crew.
They dropped Guiseppe Rossi because they wanted to name a squad whose players all play in the Serie A.
Rossi is miles better than Quagliarella!!!
Well having all players ply their trade in serie A worked for us last time.
Though I agree with you in that Rossi shoulda gone in place of Quagliarella.

Rio has been ruled out for 4 to 6 weeks. He would miss the worldcup. Michael Dawson has been called in to replace him.

Pirlo is past his prime, his injury should not significantly impact the team anyway.
You can say about a few members of the Italian squad however if Pirlo hits form in the worldcup there would be no stopping him and that is what most Azzuri fans are banking on.
