My automatic 2005 Sequioa has refused to engage the reverse gear. If you shift to 'R'', it still moves forward. Infact it moves forward everywhere except in 'park'.

When the problem occured the first time, I took it to a tech and they found out the transmission fluid was leaking through a hole at the rear of the vehicle. They fixed the leakage and filled with the recommended fluid, yet it continued.

Then they scanned it and some DTCs showed up suggesting some fault in some solenoid circuit and the torque converter. After changing the torque converter the problem has persisted. They have checked all the harnesses and wiring and they confirmed all to be in order.

I need some expert advice on what to next. I don't want to spend more money without getting the correct results.

Honestly I don't want to get involved in changing TCU or the Transmission itself if it is not required.

Please what is the likely consequence of the transmission fluid leaking below acceptable level.

I need urgent advice from the experts.

I hear a dragging sound whenever I use my Corolla 011 hand brake on drive this doesn't happen in my former Corolla 03 the speed reduces in this instance no dragging sound
