I am forced to do some Economic research this afternoon. More like a comparative analysis of what was before Soludo, during Soludo and after Soludo served as, first, Chief Economic Adviser to President Obasanjo, then as the Defacto Minister of Budget and National Planning, until his ascent as the Country's Apex Bank Governor.

Even as a fairly numerate fellow, I can, at least understand the upward tide of a graph sheet, the accompanying physical experiences of prosperity and the increasing numbers of Soludo's time in the cockpit team of Nigeria's Economy.

To view the evolution of Nigeria's GDP per capita, it is interesting to look back a few years and compare these data with those of 1999 when the GDP per capita in Nigeria was $482.

Note, in viewing the tables below, the figures therein show that the periods between 2003 - 2009 can be classified as the *"golden era" of Nigeria's Economy*. Again, let's note further that the Man at the vanguard of this prosperity -- Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo -- steadily grew from merely advising to planning and then to implementing the great ideas that ushered in the prosperity of the era.

The reason for this exegesis is to help some of our Millennials who may be wrongly guided by mischievous Adults who have decided to play politics with the truth. This was why the Vulture made a simple request from Death. That it should remember to keep one old human being alive who would constantly remind the younger ones that the Vulture is not a bird to be eaten.

Even if we tell a thousand lies against Soludo, history and the figures would constantly vindicate him.

In a yet another landmark outing, the Youth Earnestly Seek Soludo (YESS Anambra) sociopolitical organization has flaggedoff a two day Entrepreneurship training for her members. The training is a skill acquisition exercise aimed at teaching participants basic skills in the production of household cleaning materials/substances.

Speaking at a brief opening ceremony at the event the Chairman of the occasion, Barrister Maxwell Udechukwu, charged Participants to pay serious attention to the Instructors. He noted that this quality of training can be the life changing encounter that will set them up for better ends in life. According to him, "the 21st century will be run by wealth creators and not job seekers". The Chairman donated a seed capital of N20,000 Naira to help meet the start up need of the most outstanding Trainee.

Speaking shortly after the Chairman's remark, the Convener of YESS Anambra, Dr Nelson Omenugha, thanked the Chairman for his kind words and immense support. Stating further that the fundamental goal of YESS is to build youths who will be ready to take up the challenge of ending the unemployment plague in the country. According to him, "the vision is to have young ndi Anambra with multiple skills fit for 21st century survival needs and appealing to financial agencies or investors".

Recall that Employment/Empowerment is one of the cardinal pillars of the "Youth Smart Pact with Soludo". A policy and programs document developed by members of YESS Anambra and proposed as a working document to her Principal, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

The training continues today the 13th of March, 2021, by 9am prompt, at the conference Hall of Wintess Hotels and Gardens, Ifite Awka, Anambra State.

YESS Anambra held her first roundtable discussion ahead of the public presentation of her policy document dubbed "Youth Smart Pact with Soludo".

The document encapsulates proposed youth programs and policies collated from the general public sometime last year. It focuses on four (4) key areas viz: Education, Employment/Empowerment, Political Participation and Social Orientation.

The 62 paged document provides detailed information on these key components. Most importantly, the pact further proposes funding sources that do not impose any strain on Government revenues. This is in line with the modus operandi of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo who continues to advocate for creative disruptions that enhance societal wellbeing, part of which is focusing on the "how" of things in crafting public policy documents.

The Roundtable had youth leaders from religious, voluntary and community based youth associations in attendance. Some of them include, ASATU Youth wing, Scout, Boys Brigade, CYON, AYF, YCP and AYM.

Further consultations will continue with other relevant stakeholders before the eventual public signing and presentation of the document.

Politics is Dynamic.


People often say this, not quite descriptive of strategy, but more as a synonym for deception. This is the reason most people believe politicians are not to be trusted. Arguably, dynamism is not synonymous to deception. It is rather very far from it in many ways than one.

The Soludo of 2010 was a right candidate in the wrong Party. Soludo of 2013 was the right candidate at the wrong time. Soludo of 2021 is the right candidate in the right party at the right time. This is the reality that has sent the opposition amok. Note, at all times and even now, Soludo has remained right.

To add salt to injury, the enigmatic Soludo of 2021 has gathered so much moss even without a formal declaration. As at today, there are over 15 groups across the State and beyond championing the Soludo project, with each having massive grassroot following. If Soludo were a volcano, one can confidently say that he has deeply shaken the earth crust and by November 6 the eruption will come with molten magmas never before seen in post Democratic Anambra.

An Economist of Soludo's cast cannot be careless with important Statistics, neither will he employ same for political grandstanding. "A million Jobs for the youths every year" in a State like Anambra sounds, and in the actual sense is, bogus.

Much as we pride in the fact that Soludo is known for his "big ideas", we cannot concede to one that is intended to make him appear shallow. This is just to put the records straight for our sincere supporters and the reading public.

Prof Chukwuma Soludo as part of his formal consultations in response to the demand by Ndi- Anambra for him to contest in the Anambra 2021 governorship election, visited the Anambra State House of Assembly. The visit afforded him and the honourable APGA House Members an opportunity to mutually dialogue on the future of Anambra state as well as the role of APGA, the members, and Prof Soludo in that future. It was a private visit at which Soludo eulogized the performance of APGA government in the state (even under declining revenue); commended members for their support and the stakes for APGA in the next election. He requested for the prayers, advice and guidance of members as he continues consultations before eventually declaring interest for the contest.

Members were excited about the depth of Soludo’s presentation and responses to questions as well as the prospects of his candidacy if he eventually decides to contest. The meeting started with prayers for Soludo and his intentions. Before Soludo spoke, the only lady of the House and Deputy Chief Whip (Hon Beverly Ifeanyi Nkemdiche) decorated Prof Soludo with customized apron and donated hundreds of face masks with Soludo’s photos as demonstration of support. Members in their contributions and vote of thanks thanked Soludo for the visit and frank discussions; offered prayers for him; and also expressed their expectations when he becomes governor.

In line with the "Keep a Girl in school project", YESS Anambra has announced the adoption of 10 promising female Secondary School students in Anambra State.

The Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo (YESS Anambra) group has awarded a full tuition scholarship to 10 outstanding female Students of the Community Secondary School, Okpuno, in Awka South LGA of the State.

Speaking at the event, the Convener of YESS, Dr Nelson Omenugha, congratulated the beneficiaries noting that nothing short of excellence is expected of them in all aspects of learning. "The kind of positive feeling that goes with planting a seed, in spite of the torturous grit required to nurture it, is akin to the general feeling of satisfaction we get from setting up one human-kind on the path of success" he stated while fielding questions on the motivation for this act of charity.

He further noted that the group is excited at the opportunity this provides for the future of these young girls. Stating that they are committed to doing much more within the latitude provided by their scarce resources.

Dr Omenugha wished the beneficiaries success in their academic sojourn. And pledged to continue partnering with relevant stakeholders such as Make the Girl Foundation to provide mentorship for the younger generation where necessary.

YESS Carol: Anambra Youths Re-Echo Call For Soludo Election

Anambra Youths under the umbrella of ‘Youth Earnestly Seek Soludo’ have reechoed call for the election of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the next executive governor of the state.

The group made the call in the 2020 Carol of Nine lessons organized by Youth Earnestly Seek Soludo, YESS, through the convener Dr Nelson Omenugha, a lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.

Nelson Omenugha who spoke to newsmen at the event said that YESS comprises youths who are very passionate about Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo as well as who believe in his person and are honestly praying for his victory to take Anambra State to the next level.

Speaking on the expectation of the group in the 2021 gubernatorial election in the state, Omenugha opined that people are clamouring for the former CBN governor because of his endearing qualities which according to him is visible in his past leadership character as well as undiluted capacity to execute ideas and project with precision.

According to him, Anambra needs a thorough economist. One with international exposure that is locally relevant to pilot the ship of the state especially in the post-covid-19 era that is besieged with the huge economic downturn.

Even as he hinted that Governor Willie Obiano has done well in his tenure as governor of the state, the YESS convener said that Soludo will do more by taking up from where the governor left off to a greater height that Anambra would be proud of.”

Speaking about the carol of Nine lessons organized by YESS, Omenugha noted that YESS Carol is one of the activities put forward to end the year stronger and in a high spirit. He described the outgoing year as a very challenging one to Nigerians adding that the YESS movement designed the program to enable the members who are mostly youths to feel the breeze of Christmas.

“We put forward this carol as a means of bringing the leadership of this YESS in different wards of different local governments and zones in the state together so that we appreciate them for staying strong to achieve the ambition of YESS.

“We are also very passionate about rewarding and showing gratitude to all those persons that have been investing, committing their resources, time, and talents to YESS. What we are doing in YESS is to join hands together to ensure that our mission is progressing and this is an opportunity to appreciate them.

Also speaking, a member representing Njikoka II in the state House of Assembly, Hon Pete Ibida noted that the event was a unification factor as it brought Anambra youths together to sing soulful songs to God.

He said that as the people are preparing for the next coming of Christ, the same way they are preparing for the coming of the next governor urging the people of Anambra to sustain the existing peace and harmony in the state as according to him, peace is sacrosanct.

Managing Director Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Sir Jude Emecheta while stating the significance of the event said that 2020 has been a pandemic year and that Christians should glorify God for surviving the pandemic and other challenges that came with the year.

Emecheta who is also the chairman, ‘Anambra Demand Soludo’ urged the people to celebrate but should be conscious of the COVID -19 which according to him still wreaks havoc in some parts of the society. He advised the people not to neglect wearing face masks and other measures as advised by governments.

Addressing newsmen at the occasion, governorship aspirant in the Anambra 2021 election Prof Charles Soludo while commending Omenugha led YESS for their commitment and deeming it fit to organize such event stated that it shows that the society has a united youth that can be trusted and who are ready to take over in the future.

Prof Soludo who was represented by the commissioner for public utilities, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne hinted that the future is safe with the present crop of youths adding that the youths have shown enough organizational commitment which according to him, is second to none.

Meanwhile, Nwankwo Emmanuel Chukwuka, the YESS secretary described the carol as first of its kind. He said it is the first time such a festival is holding in the state and expressed optimism at associating with Soludo.

He said the essence of the carol is to thank YESS members who have contributed immensely to the success of YESS and to encourage them not to lose faith in the vision for a better Anambra.

He said that the vision of the group is for Prof Soludo to appropriate leadership of the state in the 2021 governorship election.

Earlier in his message, President of Anambra Praise International, Bishop I. G Orizu said that the YESS movement should be encouraged in their bid to champion Anambra state in 2021.

Bishop Orizu who was represented by the prayer leader, Maduka Iloh said that the essence of carol is to rejoice over what God has done adding that people gathered to celebrate over the extraordinary things God did in their lives.

The ABS heartbeat and Austica Nanka Memorial Choral groups trilled the teeming dignitaries at the event with their scintillating choral performances alongside a lone performance by Anthony Onuorah and others.

The Youth Earnestly Seek Soludo (YESS) Anambra Indoor Sports Competition was a week-long of breathtaking derby which started on the 11th of November and culminated in an epoch-making final on the 18th of November, 2020.

The games featured players across 5 indoor games drawn from the 21 LGAs and key tertiary institutions in Anambra State. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tournament which hosted some dignitaries including a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Chairman, Anambra Vision 2070 Committee, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Convener, Dr Nelson Omenugha lauded the participants for the high spirit of sportsmanship exhibited all through the period of the competition. He further noted that the competition aimed to foster unity and deepen the relationship amongst members of the YESS Anambra family.

Some of the important highlights of the day were the novelty Table Tennis game between Dr Nelson Omenugha and Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo. Addressing the press shortly after the closing ceremony, Prof Soludo applauded the initiative and encouraged young ndi Anambra to always be value-driven. “I am very much interested in the Economics of sports which is capable of providing positive socioeconomic outcomes for our people. This should be encouraged and fully exploited by the authorities to check the rising youth unemployment and restiveness in the country”. He said.

Members of the YESS Anambra Indoor Sports Competition Local Organizing Committee, led by the Chairperson, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, were also commended by Prof. Soludo for putting up an interesting and hitch-free event.

The competition featured table Tennis, Chess, Scrabble, Draft and Ncho. Winners emerged across all games with Njikoka leading the pack of LGAs with the highest number of medals.
