Please I have a question, I took my phone to an engineer after it shut down and didn't come back on.

The issue was the power ic as told to me, the engineer said he has to flash it after changing it, that the data has been corrupted.

Which sounded strange to me, please is it a normal thing to flash a phone after changing the power ic, the files on that phone are too important for me to lose.

If it's power ic, yes you can still keep your data. But if it's flash ic, very difficult.
