The Mambilla Plateau is the most beautiful and coldest place in West Africa.

Mayo Gade Waterfall – Hidden Gem of Mambilla Plateau, Taraba State

After a 4-hour chase (3 hours on bike and 1 hour hike), we finally discovered Mayo Gade Waterfall, a breathtaking beauty tucked away in Furumi, Mambilla Plateau, Taraba State, Nigeria.

The journey wasn’t easy – bumpy bike rides through rugged trails, followed by a challenging hike – but the reward was worth every step. Standing before this untouched waterfall on the Mambilla Plateau felt like stepping into paradise. 🌿

If you’re a lover of nature, waterfalls, and adventure travel in Nigeria, this is a destination you must add to your bucket list. The Mambilla Plateau is not just the home of scenic landscapes, rolling hills, and tea plantations – it also hides magical spots like Mayo Gade Waterfall waiting to be explored.

📍 Location: Furumi, Mambilla Plateau, Taraba State, Nigeria
🔥 Adventure Level: Tough but unforgettable

2. Walking in-between two persons = Nigerians see it as a bad omen, immediately they see you approaching them they'll quickly cover the space to avoid it. If you take them unwares they'll call you back and ask you to walk back to break the spell. cheesy
I see this particular one as disrespect and disorganising not as superstition.
RomanceRe: 10 Honest benefits of marrying In late 30s or early 40s - A sober reflection by Circassian: 8:27am On Aug 07, 2025
Nnamdipapa:
There is nothing like struggling to raise kids when you are financially and emotionally mature. The people who struggle to raise kids are those who married early or those who chose to have many kids.

The secret formula is to marry late and have one kid.
Your piece is amazing but this one tends to hit the the point.

A lot of youngsters just want to marry without proper plan in place (it doesn't mean that plans workout all the time) but you see nothing annoys me more than seeing a struggling family that's only committed to breeding kids

HealthRe: "I Lost My Brother Before We Knew He Was Sick — The Tragedy Of Silent Hepatitis" by Circassian: 6:43pm On Aug 02, 2025
AngelSlay:
Hepatitis refers to inflammation of the liver, usually caused by viral infections, but it can also result from alcohol use, certain medications, toxins, or autoimmune diseases. There are several types of viral hepatitis, each with different causes and effects:

Types of Hepatitis:

1. Hepatitis A (HAV):

Cause: Eating food or drinking water contaminated with feces from an infected person.

Transmission: Fecal-oral route.

Severity: Acute (short-term); doesn't lead to chronic liver disease.

Prevention: Vaccine, good hygiene, clean water.

Recovery: Most people recover fully.

2. Hepatitis B (HBV):
Cause: Virus spread through blood, semen, or other bodily fluids.

Transmission: Unprotected sex, sharing needles, mother-to-child at birth.

Severity: Can be acute or chronic.

Prevention: Vaccine available, avoid risky behaviors.

Chronic HBV: Can lead to cirrhosis, liver failure, or liver cancer.

3. Hepatitis C (HCV):
Cause: Virus spread mainly through blood.

Transmission: Sharing needles, unscreened blood transfusions.

Severity: Often becomes chronic.

No vaccine, but effective treatments (antivirals) exist.

4. Hepatitis D (HDV):
Cause: Occurs only in people infected with HBV.

Transmission: Contact with infected blood.

Severity: More severe when co-infected with HBV.

Prevention: HBV vaccination indirectly prevents HDV.

5. Hepatitis E (HEV):
Cause: Eating or drinking contaminated food or water.

Transmission: Fecal-oral route (like HAV).

Severity: Usually acute, but dangerous for pregnant women.

Prevention: Good hygiene, clean drinking water.

Common Symptoms:

Fatigue

Nausea and vomiting

Abdominal pain (especially upper right side)

Loss of appetite

Jaundice (yellowing of skin and eyes)

Dark urine

Pale stool

Fever

Diagnosis & Treatment:

Blood tests to detect viruses or liver enzymes.

Ultrasound or liver biopsy in chronic cases.

Treatment depends on type:

HAV & HEV: No specific treatment; supportive care.

HBV & HCV: Antiviral medications.

Lifestyle: Avoid alcohol, maintain a healthy diet.

---

Prevention Tips:

Get vaccinated (for HAV and HBV).

Practice safe sex.

Avoid sharing needles, razors, or toothbrushes.

Ensure safe and clean food/water.

Use protective equipment if exposed to blood.
This is very informative
FoodRe: Hunger In The Land: 400 Malnourished Children Admitted Per Day In Kebbi – MSF by Circassian: 5:17am On Jul 28, 2025
There's nothing like hunger in the land but rather wickedness in the land since the government lack the sense of eradicating it but instead capitalising on the negligence of the poor to divert funds into needles upgrading of government buildings and procurement of high taste vehicles.

I feel you, though. I struggled with people's opinions of me for decades. But it's a process. It doesn't happen all at once, though there'll be notable milestones where you worry less and about what people think about you.
You're darn right about this milestone of a thing. Once you get to that level you people's opinion means less to you.

In addition I'd say find a goal a worthy purpose like a career or training that will help you commit to yourself more

Sir Dauda Jawara was prime minister of Gambia from independence in 1962 till 1970 (Queen Elizabeth II was head of state). He became president of Gambia in 1970.

Gambians took to social media to mourn and thank President Buhari when they heard of his (Buhari's) death.

BusinessRe: "Money Is Not Everything" — A Lie We Were Told? by Circassian: 6:22am On Jul 01, 2025
The adage is right, money is actually not everything with emphasis on EVERYTHING.

For example in the Human system, the respiratory system is not EVERYTHING about the body but surely it's something that the body cannot do without, same applies to other systems of the body.

You maybe seeing money as everything only because you do not stash them, but once you do that you'll be faced with another whole challenge that money will not flash in the option.

I believe only good health and peace of mind is everything.
