I actually applied for one of the positions advertised earlier this year, but I want to confirm if this invitation is genuine.

Has anyone else gotten this same message today?

Is UNIPORT really conducting a computer-based recruitment test right now?

Please what is the salary range for an Administrative Officer I at the University of Port Harcourt? I stay in Abuja and want to know if the trip is worth it before making arrangements.

I write this letter as a concerned Nigerian and participant in the recent recruitment processes advertised and shortlisted by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) under your leadership.

It has now been over four (4) months since the Commission concluded shortlisting candidates for several advertised vacancies. Unfortunately, no official communication, update, or public statement has been made to inform applicants of the current status of the process. This silence is not only unprofessional but highly discouraging to thousands of hopeful Nigerians who responded to the call for service.

It is even more disheartening to hear unconfirmed but persistent reports alleging that appointments are being issued quietly, based on political influence and recommendations from senators and House of Representatives members. If these reports are true, they represent a serious breach of trust and an abuse of process, which directly undermines President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda that promises transparency, equity, and meritocracy in governance.

Sir, with all due respect, your continued silence and that of your key directors especially the Director of Employment and the Director of Media/Information is damaging not only to your office but also to the credibility of the administration you serve.

We demand the following:

1. An official update within seven (7) days from the date of this letter on the status of the recruitment process;
2. A public clarification on whether appointments have been made outside of the shortlisted candidates;
3. A clear timeline for when successful applicants will be contacted and the next steps in the recruitment process.
4. If no response is received within the stipulated time, we will be compelled to escalate this issue thro petitions

On submitting my application, I noticed that work experience and professional qualifications was not displayed, and I filled it up before submitting.
Unfortunately, there is no means of editing it.

If you have been following the updates on the WhatsApp group platform; you will realize that, they just conclude the re-verification exercises. Which took place from 18th to 28th of August.

So there is no enough time to also continue the with the shortlisted applicants.

The re-verification exercises is to create more vacancies for the incoming successful employees and to also remove fake employees that were recruited between 2010 to 2023.

Let's be patient this September may be the month for another phase of the recruitment process.

Once shortlisted for this thing, what's the chances of landing the job? Is it interview/exam performance or knowing someone inside? Posting to prefer location will be determined by govt or it can be influenced? What's the likely salary scale for level 08? Is it same salary or ministry will determine your salary and allowance?

You obviously call everything a joke right. This recruitment is a national thing, all quota from the 774 LGA and 36 states must be filled and represented. Probably he was selected to meet up with his regional quota. Most regions applied more than others and some even grossly came below the quota, so it's not really about what he filled in his form but his regions quota meant to be filled up.
