And thus lower government income, but hopefully on the upside it means domestic crude production increases, which means Dangy boy and BUA (when he is ready) and all the other refinery gents can now buy more crude at home, keeping more forex at home, and relieving pressure on the nayra by a bit (A BIT, mind.).

Every country does something similar. South Korea essentially gave the chaebols generous tax benefits in return for improved industrial production. While many south koreans don't really like that idea and some regard it as daylight robbery...it's a big reason why you can use a Samsung phone and drive a hyundai, and buy a hankook battery for your car.

The government did say in 2023 that they wanted to increase crude production to 4 million bpd, and they have one year to the deadline they set themselves. Somehow, this is one of the ways forward.

If 1m bpd is in line to employ 100,000. We are looking at 300k employment for full refining capacity. Thats two.

Three is this. In other nations, road/highway construction is not the exclusive preserve of govt. Private builders too exists. If the roads are as feasible as tinubu tried to sell us, why isnt any private group looking at such an idea of duplicating 700km?
It is wasteful for us to be duplicating roads when we dont process raw produce or resources. You have battalions upon battalions of idle minds that can be repurposed into global labour and earners but choose to duplicate a highway in repition of the Lagos looting template. Thats very poor.
Power is epileptic. Security is non existent.

As it stands today, that road is less than 12% complete. He may need 19 more a years to complete it but only have 5 possible years left in Aso Rock.
That now means, he will have to plant a stooge in power to achieve any reasonable progress beyond his time in power. Another possible outcome is a northerner being planted there and the northerner then prioritizing one or more of the northern highways like Biu-Gombe or Sokoto Badagry.

I will close here not because i dont have more to say. Time will tell if i am a hater of progress or just genuinely concerned.
