Some people get money, others dey suffer.
Poverty is worse than cancer. Each time I hear these large sums money, I jus ask myself if I am still alive. As a private sch teacher, I've never had hundred thousand naira in my account before.

I'm one of them. It a shame I have to admit so.
I'm terribly struggling. At times, I lock myself inside and cry
I've lost our hope for a better tommorow hangs in the balance due to my current situation which is really appalling. I'm refusing to pity myself. But the more I work hard, the more the hardship persists. It takes a lot of effort to work and earn money, but it takes just a few seconds for same money to finish on essential items.
I have to take care of myself and younger siblings, pay my rent, transport and do other things from the meagre pay I receive as a private sch teacher. My rent will be due by next month, & there's no means of raising funds. Who do I have to hear me out? It's a sad one.
Help is hard to get in this life, I earnestly need help🙏

Although, I knew bride price to be the money paid by the groom or his family to his bride, but I never knew dowry to be what the OP defined it to be. I used to think dowry is the opposite of bride price. Like, money paid by the bride or her family to the groom, cos some cultures in India and some other parts of the world practice it.

I do agree smaller employers will find it more difficult to meet the pay level .... but minimum wage cannot remain the same while inflation is running away ...fueled by the drowning Naira. When Trump comes into office and hits the ground rolling ...the dollar will strengthen and we can see the Naira plummeting to 2000/1 by June. Just my view....the only thing I know about economics...is to spell it.

Let me add to it. A great number of those who voted for Peter Obi would have voted for Osinbajo.

People seem to forget that when PYO was Ag. President for 3 months, that was the only time in Buhari's administration that the country actually seemed to be working but PMB came back and retrogressed again.

Osinbajo is a combination of capacity, capability and integrity; qualities that we need in a Nigerian Leader that will cause a change towards the realization of our Nigerian dream. Unfortunately, the powers that be prefer a perennial corrupt man who would provide them a platform for the continuation of their corrupt practices. Now, we dey chop breakfast.
