Can't the government be sued for this?
Person send dollar, you are forcefully converting it to naira at your own rate, not the rate of the receiver.

Legal robbery!

The clueless people that brought this idea will end up pushing many people to other platforms that can't be captured officially.

See the blockhead that I've been arguing politics with for years. grin

They are Nigerians that have naira that need dollar. The one who has dollar send them dollar, they send the people naira.

For instance, foreign student.

The people who have dollar send them the dollar in the dollar economy and the students refund the aggreed amount in naira in naira economy.

These monies didn't cross the both economy.

The one who has the dollar determine the price. As demand increases, the black market price is upset again.

Economy is driven by greed. Until economics understand this, their policies will fail. You factor human greed into economic policies

Since there is now a convergence of rates, I can now transfer USD to Naija and get Naira at the same rate with P2P.

So, give me one reason why I will send USD to one student and be waiting for Naira credit when I can do same with the banks at the same rate at the click of a single button.

It's because you are not directly affected.
Imagine someone sending you 10kUSD only for the money to be converted to naira at whatever rates the CBN likes....you are calling this robbery a solution...so sad

Bank rates and parallel markets are the same. You lack knowledge of the issues, you are just crying senselessly.

There are many ways to do it. Nigerians like more money. Since they cannot have their dollar either in bank or in cash, why would they send dollar?

They will get someone who will send naira and collect dollar. Dollar remain in dollar economy and naira remain in naira economy.

If you don't know, europe discourge nigerians send foreign exchange home.

Then, if they don't send dollar home, how do they get Naira to spend in Nigeria? By coming here to do bricklaying?

That dollar, they will exchange it one way or the other. The CBN knows this, that's why they allowed bank rates to be the same with parallel rates.

By the way, What is the current parallel market rate?
What is the exchange rate in banks?
They are about the same thing.

So, why will they now patronise 3rd party providers when their rates are the same with bank rates?

You can’t bring down crypto

I’ll be receiving my money in usdt which is equal to 1,600 naira per usdt crypto

Dey play

I’ll just show my benefactor how to download binance wallet, load it in his country easily and send me my money.

You are an ignorant fellow. Which USDT is, 1,600?
On Binance this morning, it is less than 1,490.

Government can't bring down crypto but can bring down exchanges. CZ of Binance who is currently seeing shege in the US can explain better.

You are not getting anywhere. You will see as it will back fire. People will stop sending dollar home. They will do the exchange from there.

Exchange from there means whey will buy more Naira from there. Means more demand for the Naira.
Hope you know what this means?

Over hyping Osimhen. Has he done as much as Lookman or Ekong in this current Afcon campaign?

You are a very ignorant fellow. Osimhen has nuisance value. His role is to constitute a nuisance in the defences of the opponent so that others can score. That alone is a problem for our opponents.

Have u all noticed that after a kidnapper, armed robber or any criminal is killed, u don't hear at all of members of their family crying and asking for their corpses from the security agencies for burial or challenging the security agencies for not taking them to court to be sentenced or even surprised they were kidnappers? Its as if they have no family at all.its cos They are all beneficiaries of crime and left 2 me, should be imprisoned. All Criminals have Families, who in turn, know what they do, so if crime has to be tamed, it starts and end in the family system. Evans, e- money kidnapper, who was once a policeman, had mansions everywhere, which were seized. If they weren't discovered after their Waterloo, their families would continue to be using and enjoying those properties. Idiots. Death to kidnappers, robbers and all the beneficiaries of crime

Don't go through the corner. Just come out and say you are targeting the rising mud people. grin

Tunji Ojo's results are visible to all. He actually didn't need to pay anyone a kobo for promoting him. Those who have collected their passports are his greatest campaigners.
