ufotunang: .. that is why Nigerians and government should make their economy and country better and good and develop the country... and government should provide good governance and better life and better standard of living for Nigerians and all this japa to USA and the insults, embarrassment, deportation Nigerians receive over there will reduce and stop gradually.. simple There are over 1 million Caucasians from developed countries overstaying their visas. Most of you just assume and have never even been in such societies. |

ogaontop: The US is a wonderful country to migrate to, and they have to tighten their borders to avoid terrorists that might harm the country or the citizens due to the level of insecurity in the world today. If I suspect a thief may come to my house, I will build high fences and increase security. That's how a good government works; they owe no one any apology. Kudos to Trump!! There's more crime per capita committed by US citizens than immigrants. This argument is jejune and puerile. |

China has many of these measures on ground for many years and they enforce it with facial recognition. What percentage of visitors to UK overstay their visas? |

nwirinedu: For those of you attacking, put yourself in their shoes, people coming into your country to with no value, you re forced to subsidize their stay with your taxes. They given free accommodation and spending money and subsidizes while the locals are forced to pay more for utilities food and rent.
At some point this will trigger a crises and this is what we re seeing. It behoves migrants to hold their leaders accountable by voting and choosing their leaders, when you allow corruption to fester it breeds a cancer in a nations fabric.
I always knew that the japa trend is not sustainable in the long run, we getting to a point where it will be difficult to leave the country even for good reasons.
Just look at the crazy visa requirements from the US, Canada, UAE for a country once called the giant of Africa.
This is what happens when corruption and criminality is celebrated, it rubs off on decent people from the same country. They don't subsidise the stay of the immigrants. In fact, it's the other way round. The immigrants pay tax but can't benefit from it. |

We take everything US says with a pinch of salt.
You have been arresting and deporting some citizens and people without any criminal record.
Takes a lot to convince you are being transparent.
In addition, how come you know their countries of origin, yet you're dropping them somewhere else.
If it's to drop bombs in another country, you would do it with precision. |

Acidosis: Dangote and propaganda. Big headlines, little impact. Una go dey shout crash on top the usual N25 reduction? Senseless bunch.
These senseless bunch will crash petrol price from N918 to N916 and run to the media, all for the noise and propaganda. When will you people ever have sense? If N918 to N916 means crash, so what do we call N200 to N1000??
The government will keep using this man to press una muumuu button like toys. The goal is to deflect and shift your anger away from the government. Can't you people see? Same template with cement, PMS, now this? Our muumuu never do? Even If it is 1 Naira. Tell us when the marketers ever reduce the price. |

Taich: This headline has many hidden meanings. Like Dangote or hate him, the masses are the ones being played here. Dangote came into the Cementing sector, we all other players were pushed out. We know how the price of cement went. Dangote business model is market disruption at errant, then monopoly and finally the masses pay massively for the only supplier. There are many producers of cement in Nigeria. You all should get some education. |
