Any little thing they keep calling names on churches in Nigeria.
American has millions of Churches and their economy is improving daily. Churches in America pay tithes and their economy is improving daily.
Most of Nigerian pastors have members across the globe without any criticism and still yet they are prospering .
If they can do what Nigerian Churches/members are doing and economy is still good ,then its not the problem of the Church.
We know that there are men out their who are after their pocket , merchandisers but its not new, its even all over the world, USA and co.

The problem of Africa is not about the Church or religion.

Nigerian Muslims dont practice islam more than the Arabs or UAE. Here if you urinate near a mosque for example, you only get a fine but in Nigeria ,they kill you instantly. Whose fault ,you cant blame religion.
They should stop generalizing Nigerian Churches. If your view is different ,doesn't make you to start abusing people. We all must not have same belief.
