U235weapongrade: My opinion on the postponed NEC meeting of ASUU.

First tins 1st, REST IN PEACE Professor iyayi Festus.
I Don't see how his death is supposed to affect the meeting and subsequent suspension of the industrial action by ASUU.

ASUU just have to take some few days and mourn (Wednesday,thur,fri) and finally have dia meetin on saturday.
It was a well known fact that even if the strike was called off dis evening, schools wud still be asked to resume on Monday 18th Nov.

Finally I personally don't even think that if the current ASUU chairman was the person involved in that accident , dat schools won't resume in the next 2weeks @ most. All school branches have held dia congresses and it was a well known fact that majority accepted the last offer by the FG.

After all ASUU was not structured for one person to have far yielding powers not even the Chairman.

So I hope y'all see were I'm coming from..

Once again RIP professor iyayi Festus.

BTW he was a member of the Uniben chapter dat called for continuation of the strike Action.
