I know what the guy did wasn't good and his reply equally wasn't mature but the truth is that no published work is safe once posted online, most Nigerians don't even know its a crime to copy people's work. No matter how much you curse and swear they will never stop unless you take legal action which 99% of Nigerian writers shy away from. As for my end, my stories are still copied and I still take action on anyone I caught copying it , but that shouldn't make us stop what we have passion for, which is story writing. I'm ready to help my fellow writers fight plagiarism and as for the shatzee guy, I have cautioned him, he won't copy the story again. Another thing I also noticed is that the disclaimer at the bottom of naira land, doesn't work on the interest of Nairaland writers. You guys can't imagine the number of Facebook pages that boom with Nairaland stories.

OK dicefrost I now understand, I promise he won't post the story on his Facebook page and I will personally see that he deletes the copied ones. just post your story bro.... its settled, though I only want you to confirm if he's free to continue with it on my website or not, since you have already permitted for the posted ones to remain??

We have already resolved every issue concerning this story with dicefrost, he has allowed the story to be posted on our website www.coolval22.com with credit given to a name he asked for. please for those still dropping insults on our website, it isn't necessary, moreover the comments won't equally publish. Yea we agree it was an unfortunate incident since coolval has always been against plagiarism for such a thing to happen in his website, but you all know our website is a small forum where any registered member can post anything. we have been part of nairaland since 2012 and most guest stories and fans we have are from nairaland....... Dicefrost is a friend and we have settled.
