When Former President Jonathan lost election even though it was obvious things were done wrong, he still decided to leave power. He would have stopped the election, but because of people who may lost their lives, he stepped down. In the case of Ojukwu Briafa, here preferred people fight and die to enable him rule. |

From this report, briafa who first invaded Asaba brought problems to them, and when the Nigeria troops came came briafa didn't wait and defend, rather, they went back to original land.
All these happened just because of one person's greediness and hungry for power . Unfortunately, some people continue fighting on what happens when they were not born
Same thing is still happening till today lin country like Cameroon |

MistyDense: I know a lot of you will call me all sorts of unprintable names and would want to nameshame me.
My Elder brother died about nine months ago and his wife is about to Remarry.
They had been married for ten whole years, but unable to bear a child for 7years, until God blessed them with a beautiful and lovely baby Girl. We all celebrated and were joyous. A few weeks after childbirth, my brother became sick. What initially looked like an ulcer became something else, and he had to go under the knife. After the surgery, there were some Terrible complications, which resulted in his eventual demise. Most painful part was, he had just landed his dream job after five years of graduation. He was extremely depressed as a result of this joblessness until luck smiled at him. He was traveling round the world like he was going to his backyard. He was breezing in and out of Nigeria for official duties until the sickness struck. Now it's been nine months, and she already made her intentions known to my family that she wants to Remarry. Meanwhile, the baby is just two and half years old.
As a woman, I understand how lonely and traumatized she is. I perfectly understand what she's going through but myself and my family feel it's too too early for this. We, her late husband's family didn't and have never interfered in her dealings. All my brother's properties are in her custody, the Businesses they co-owned are all in her care.
I thought she would have waited a bit much longer to do this, considering how much she seemingly loved her late husband. Meanwhile she's 38yrs old. Her parents have told her to wait for some time, but she wouldn't listen. But before making her intentions known to my family, we already suspected that she was seeing someone else, going by the way she was acting. I'm now the next in command in my family after my elder Brother's death, but I'm also a woman and have limited powers. Even if I had all the powers, I still wouldn't be Able to stop her from doing what she wants. After All, she's older than me. I'm really pissed now as she will be taking my niece to live with another man. She's marrying a man who already has two wives, making her the third. What should I do?
Nlfpmod Well i understand how you feel from my experience, looking at her condition she can't even help herself now, just like someone who has neen down with illness happened to get back on her feet, and can't reason dieep on her next destination. What should be of concern, is she doing this because of her age, is she meeting the right person?, somebody with 2wives going for third wife, is he a responsible person, or he is seeing her as opportunity to leverage on her business? hhheemm so many questions. If she decides to move on with the man don't fight her just be good and close to her for the sake of your niece and to have regular access to her. Her next journey to marriage and take care of your niece as a way of life is a hug work, but she have to carry her cross, and i hope she carries your family along. As for the business, part of the money should be channeled to the child's up-keep and education, hence she doesn't need to warry you on that. As for you, when you get married you may not have all the time coming close to them as you have to face your family as well. Finally, gently follow-up to see her plans after marriage. God help us. |

They denigrate Obasanjo especially the ever senseless & garrulous Bayo Onanuga. However, the truth remains sacrosanct. If he had their backing, I doubt Wike would have emerged victorious or that the President would have had any reason to declare a state of emergency You're every right! He wanted to follow the usual way by governors who once they're sworn-in, they make their selves the ultimate and sees others as puppet and rubber-stamp, take decisions without consideration from others. In his own case it back-fired because he didn't understand that, the circumstances at which he became governor, those HoA members are more or less powerful than him politically. Lessons learned; it's always good to carry people along to win their support. |

Beerbeer: We are four siblings in my family: two boys who are twins and two girls. When my mum passed, my elder sister stood in as a parent for us. She paid for our university education and sent us monthly allowances for feeding. In fact, three of us would have dropout if not for her. Even when I graduated from school, she was still sending me 30k every month, pending when I get a job. This is in addition to also sending same to my siblings and my father. She has done this for close to 10 years without complaint.
Recently, I finished a project that paid me 2.1 million. This is how I spent the money: I gave 500k to my church to thank them for getting me the job. 300k to my father. 100k to my stepmum. 100k to my second sister. Bought 700k laptop to help with my coding job. I used the rest to pay rent, change my wardrobe, clearance from school, and feeding.
My elder sister found out from my twin brother and got angry because I didn't tell her anything about the job or the money. She was also angry because I didn't set aside money for my twin brother going to law school this year.
To be honest, I didn't think it was a big deal to tell her. I knew my twin was in safe hands cos she was already handling that so I didn't bother. Before now, she had already paid the law school fees (about 500k). So I thought it was settled. I tried to reason with her but she refused to hear.
She was also angry I didn't tell her about the laptop. I knew I messed up here because she was the one that encouraged me to pick up coding and even bought my first laptop. I told her I wanted to finalize everything but it made her angry tye more. She blocked me and I also found out she blocked everyone else including our father.
All these happened in April. I thought she would calm down by now. But I just discovered that she has moved out of our state without telling anyone. She has blocked all the numbers we tried to reach her.
My twin brother said she only sends him allowance for law school (100k every month) and has blocked his number so he won't contact her. He is the only person she sends money to now as she has stopped giving us as before.
I am so confused. Why is she acting like this? Shouldn't she be happy for me? Nairalanders help me.
File photo from Google You think She plock money from the tree? It's not been easy for her and she may not inform you. She have been helping you with the hope that , when you made something you would start helping yourself. But when the time came for her to get relieved, you decided not to inform her, and to continue to send you money. You decided not to inform her so that you would continue to collect money from her! You finished all the money now that she blocked ATM access you're suprise, angry and confused. You took her as your Birth-Right. |

Kobojunkie: Stop lying! 😩😩
Many Nigerian Christians are guilty of what OP pointed out. And the reason has to do with the fluidity of the religion really(this applies to most all other religions as well);...anything can be added by whoever is able to spin the most alluring tales. This is the reason behind the over 46,000 denominations that the religion boasts of, each brand with its own set of ideas and beliefs all supposedly regarding the same Israelite God. 🥱🥱🥱 I wouldn't argue with you because, i can see indomie generation. When those creatures became known and living amongst humans, churches were no options amongst what people served and believed. So haw could Christians have started calling such names? |

LoneSoldier: Honestly I don't think cat or owl are that bad, we tend to over emphasize every thing, especially the christians who place blame on innocent creatures like the cat and owl that I mentioned earlier, if they see such animals around there compound, they will immediately label them as witchcraft, with the phrase "that they were sent from the village to cause them havoc", I think there should be a change in our mentality, this animals don't mean any harm. The whites treat them with love, I think we should do the same..... The people that started calling them such names are actually those who practice traditional religions, those with spiritual powers also manipulate them in the olding days, story tellers, Christiannity was not popular then, and not Christians. |

VOsimhen144: That has always been his plan but he wouldn’t have gotten it.
Former President, late Umaru Musa Yar'Adua was the greatest president Nigeria ever had… But I will tell you for free that PDP had an agenda.
Late Musa Yar’Adua was loved by Nigerians, I mean he was the only president that reduced the prices of goods and commodities for Nigerians to have a better living but there was an agenda behind all these.
Obasanjo wanted to use Late Musa Yar’Adua to pass the bill the return back to office to finish the 3rd term tenure just like how Donald Trump did for his 2nd term.. But Yar’adua sudden death couldn't allow Obasanjo accomplished his mission.
By the time Yar’Adua pass the 3rd term bill to the senate, nobody would have been able to stop him because we all could see he was doing a great job. You're a liar and trying to mislead people, he did his best and left power without plan to come back as you claimed, he only supports Yar'Adua because of the way he managed His State Fund as a Governor, also his name was not on EFCC records. This is the reason he supported Yar'Adua. He rejected some other names because of corruption. If what you said is true, Obasanjo privatized refineries before he left power and Yar'Adua reverse the decision! What does that tells you? |
