BusinessSeven (7) Ways To Accelerate Your Business In A Time Such As This by CPPL(op): 10:19am On Dec 05, 2022
I heard a very interesting quote yesterday. "There is a recession in the land, but I refuse to participate." This caught my attention. Yes, things may not be easy now, but every hard time presents lots of opportunities, and only those who are ready will benefit from them. What will make a difference for organisations at this time and season is their preparedness in terms of capacity and capability.

As we know, an organisation consists of three very important parties: people, processes, and systems. Forward-looking organisations leverage one, a combination of two, or all three to create value sustainably. "Systems run the business, and people run the system"—Michael Gerber.

Value creation is critical to the success of any organization, and it is not a one-time thing; it must be continuous. Herein lies the enviable position of marketing and innovation in every organization. The value you create lies in the needs and aspirations of the customer or client. "If customers value consistent quality and timely delivery, then the skills, systems, and processes that produce and deliver quality products and services are highly valuable to the organization." If customers value innovation and high performance, then the skills, systems, and processes that create new products and services with superior functionality take on high value. "Consistent alignment of actions and capabilities with the customer value proposition is the core of excellent customer service" (Robert Kaplan & David Norton)
Achieving consistent alignment of actions and capabilities with the value the customer is expecting and being able to deliver it with a considerable margin is what would make an organisation relevant and profitable at this time.

Through some of the business marketing consulting work we have done recently, we have discovered seven things organisations have to do to accelerate. You either accelerate or get ready to die. The seven points are:
1. Hire the right people and train them. You must seek out good people with entrepreneurial skills and a desire to add value. They may be a little more expensive, but it pays off in the end. Having recruited right, the next enabler is training. You should have a plan and process to train them regularly. I advocate that training should be a way of life for every organization. New things come up every day, and smart organisations get hold of them and leverage them to build and promote their businesses.

2. Keep and nurture your trusted sources of revenue. My customer value development experience across industries has taught me that the majority of a company's effort is focused on retaining existing customers, particularly high-revenue-generating ones. They provide the backbone of the organisation and must be nurtured to keep growing while prospecting and acquiring new customers. This calls for effective segment management. Where this is properly done, customers move from lower to higher levels of revenue contribution. This explains why every organisation must adopt customer relationship management (CRM) to manage their customers, no matter how few or many there may be.

3. Reduce your risks. This is not the time to be careless and take things for granted. Our perceptions usually determine our view of the level of risk posed by an activity. Organizations must adopt processes that ensure the risks attached to their activities are well managed. Having a good enterprise risk management (ERM) process would support value creation by enabling management to deal effectively with potential future events that create uncertainty by responding appropriately to reduce the likelihood of downside outcomes and increase the upside.

4. Be adaptable or flexible. We cannot afford to be rigid if we want to accelerate our organization. The needs, wants, and aspirations of our customers are ever-changing. We, therefore, have to be flexible enough to accommodate them. That is really what value creation is about.

5. Ensure quality and a consistent customer experience. Businesses must embrace the knowledge age and align organisational structures to help them reach out, absorb, and integrate all the expertise and talent out there, including employees, partners, and customers/clients. Nothing beats a consistent customer experience. I advocate investing in developing a practical customer experience blueprint (with insights from your customers and clients) and ensuring consistent delivery.

6. Be driven by vision. Leadership must keep their businesses focused on the vision, always thinking ahead to accelerate their businesses. Your systems, processes, and people will work well when the motivation for being in business is tangible and understood by everyone in the organization. According to Guy Kawasaki, it must be clear to all that you are in business to make meaning—improve lives, right wrongs, or prevent the end of something good.

7. Thinking and evidence-based inquiry. The organisation should cultivate a culture of reasoned thinking and evidence-based inquiry. Leadership plays a key role here, as much of this is about modelling the desired behaviours as well as encouraging an open, creative, and critical thinking environment.

In conclusion, the importance of the people, which is one of the components of any organization, cannot be overemphasized. We need to go beyond just looking for learning opportunities; they must take the next step and provide thoughtful mentoring. We must ensure the rationale behind decisions is understood. Do employees know the "whether" and "why" beyond the "what, how, and when?" Leadership must help others see relevant insights coming from the customer and the environment, appreciate the efforts of the competition, and provide direction to guide everyone to deliver what the customer wants.

BusinessTake Your Business Online Today With Ease (CPPL Business Tips) by CPPL(op): 10:26am On Nov 09, 2022
When entrepreneurs discover the importance of digital marketing and want to incorporate it into their marketing activities, this is usually a struggle, but in this article, I will break down how to take your business online with ease. It is critical to highlight the most important digital marketing channels, namely social media, email, and a website.

Before setting up a social media account for your business, it is important to understand the target audience your products or services are most appealing to, where to reach them, and then break them into demographics such as age, income, location, interests, etc. For instance, an online store whose target audience is individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 would most likely find them on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tick-Tok, etc. After defining your target audience, you can set up professional accounts on social media platforms that best suit your target audience. Setting up professional accounts and pages is very important. Professional pages and accounts on platforms like Facebook and Instagram give users additional features such as insights and analytics, which can be used to understand customer patterns and measure social media engagement and performance.

Sending personalised emails individually to customers or clients can be a bit tedious, which is why there are professional email platforms such as Mailchimp that provide businesses with a wide range of features. With professional email platforms, you can send personalised emails to numerous customers, you can segment customers, you can send customers emails with pictures, videos, and hyperlinks that can drive traffic to your social media pages or website, and you can also schedule emails to customers that can be delivered at the intended date.
Owning a website is essential for any business that wants an online presence. Websites provide businesses with so many features that not even social media platforms can offer. A website contains all the information about a business: what they do, what projects they have completed, payment procedures, and how to contact them. Entrepreneurs pay a lot to keep their websites in good condition because they understand their importance. The address of your website should be short, easy to memorize, and, most importantly, give a hint of what you do as a business. For example, an online store called "Order Now Nigeria" could use the website address "www.ordernowstore.com." Your website has to be user-friendly, graphically responsive (optimised for all devices), and have attractive, rich, relevant, and unique content. All the previously mentioned qualities help with the ranking or positioning of your website in search engine results.

In conclusion, it is important to put into consideration your target audience and your goals and objectives when taking your business online. You will also need to report and keep track of your marketing activities so you can start doing new things, continue doing what is working, and stop doing what is not working. If you are an entrepreneur, a business owner, or a manager and you want to take your business online, CPPL can help you with that. BusinessReach New Customer Audiences And Drive Credible Sales With Sales Activation by CPPL(op): 2:22pm On Oct 31, 2022
Understanding Sales Activation
Sales activation is the process of driving leads directly through immediate prospects who are actively looking for the product or service you are offering. It is essentially when a prospective client has decided they want to buy. This process happens at the bottom of the marketing funnel when the customer is assessing their options and determining whether or not what you are offering will help them get what they want.
Every company is at a different stage in its sales activation journey, and to succeed, it must be custom tailored to meet these individual demands.

Sales activation is the process of giving your staff the tools, insight, and information they need to generate and close more sales faster. This is also important and frequently overlooked or mismanaged interaction between marketing, sales, and technology.
Sales activation campaign
Sales activation activities include marketing methods directed at in-market buyers. These advertisements are intended to capture pre-existing demand from consumers who are already aware of problems and solutions and may ask Google for specific information. These campaigns are designed to reach out to people who are actively looking to purchase the products or services you are advertising through your marketing efforts. These programmes work best in a well-established market where there is a significant amount of demand for what you have to provide.

During the sales activation process, marketing initiatives are used to raise awareness of your product
The goal of sales activation is to generate sales. When a customer is in the decision-making stage and decides to buy something. Brand building and marketing are often how a customer arrives at this stage.
If you have a marketing campaign that is geared towards influencing potential customers to make a sale that is a sales activation effort. It is a short-term tactic, but important because it generates revenue.
The sales activation process does the following:
• Larger transaction sizes
• Improved visibility and performance tracking in the integrated marketing and sales funnel.
• More effective use of sales resources
• Better buyer experiences as prospects progress through the buyer's journey

Case Study
An example of a sales activation is our current project with MoMo PSB. We developed an exciting activation strategy for the product adoption of the MTN Momo agent among youths and middle-aged Nigerians across regions in Nigeria, including Edo, Ekiti, and Ondo states. Currently, 1320 canvassers have been recruited and are being tracked and monitored in order to deliver on all our KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

Conclusion
An effective sales activation programme is a long-term strategy that provides business development personnel with the resources, methodologies, insights, and technology they need to present prospects with the correct information at the right moment. It is a marketing, sales, and technology platform that serves up answers (and sales results) as prospects go forward in their quest to solve their problems and find the product or service that fulfils their needs.

BusinessHow To Create A Trending Post On Social Media Platforms by CPPL(op): 9:51am On Aug 15, 2022
Do you struggle to drive traffic to your social media posts and content?

There is an organic solution to this problem that doesn’t require you to run paid ads. This solution is simply the use of "Effective Hashtags", which will increase the coverage of your social media posts.

Just as search engines like Google and Bing use keywords, hashtags are used on social media platforms as a way to encourage social media users to explore content that catches their eye.

What are hashtags, reach, and impressions?

"Hashtags" refer to the usage of the pound or number symbol, "#," to mark a keyword or topic on social media.

"Reach" is the total number of people who see your content

"Impressions" are the number of times your content is displayed, whether clicked or not.

Hashtags are keywords that represent trending topics on social media platforms. Every topic, interest, or community has specific or multiple hashtags that represent them. When you use these specific hashtags, your post will come up when users search for these keywords or join the trend.

The trick is to use the most popular and trending hashtags when posting on social media. You're probably wondering now, how do I know the trending hashtags? Well, it's not as hard as you think, and I can give you three tips for getting trending hashtags.
First of all, platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram suggest hashtags for users, depending on the types of topics they want to share posts on. You can easily use these hashtags if you'd like to.

Another way of getting trending hashtags is by using hashtag-generating sites. These websites use algorithms that search through social media platforms and retrieve the most frequently used hashtags.

The final way of getting trending hashtags is to create a trending hashtag for your brand. These are called "branded hashtags." Examples of branded hashtags are Guinness's #madeofblack, MTN's #everywhereyougo.

BusinessTarget Audience- The Key To Success In Marketing by CPPL(op): 10:04am On Aug 05, 2022
One major problem businesses face is sending the right message to the wrong set of people. What makes this problem reoccur is the fact that businesses do not even know they have this problem. Sometimes it’s not always about the message, product, or service being bad; it may be that the business is not targeting the right audience. Humans are only attracted to or interested in goods or services that are useful to them and can attend to their needs. When they see or hear about goods or services that are not useful to them, they will ignore them. It is crucial to understand your target audience. This will be the basis of each of your marketing campaigns.

A target audience is broken down into age, gender, social-economic factors, interests, and location. When these parts are taken into consideration, you will arrive at a concrete target audience. Getting these parts may be difficult, but to make things easier, ask yourself the following questions;
What good or service am I selling?
Who will benefit from my goods or services?
Where can I find them?
How do I reach them?

These questions help to narrow down your research and assist you in getting the best results. When you have the right target audience, your marketing is more effective, you are sending content to people who are looking for what you are offering. This increases your conversion rate and gives your marketing campaign the right direction.

One important thing to note is that your target audience should not be stagnant, it should evolve periodically. This is because people grow older, have new interests, and technology advances. This will in turn affect your target audience. You should continue to monitor your target audience and update it as time passes.

At CPPL, we understand the importance of getting the right target audience, and how instrumental it is in marketing campaigns. This is why we identify the right target audience for our clients and then develop the most effective way to interact with them. Kindly click on the link below to book our services now.

BusinessThe Next Time You Hear The Word Training, Think Consulting. by CPPL(op): 9:06am On Jul 20, 2022
Let’s start with an interesting question. What comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘training’? A day or two off work or isolation in a secure place where one or more facilitators stand before you to talk you through things or is seating quietly with your computer and listening to a recorded session or facilitator-led class carefully talks you through an issue with solutions. Do you have any other answers?

One thing that would possibly run through our different answers is the fact that training would involve or entail the sharing of knowledge and experiences. The facilitator manages the process and everyone involved gets to learn something new and or hone current skills.

Training often involves an expert facilitating the process of the exchange that takes place, based on their past experiences and knowledge in the required technical field, and the use of a case study helps to elicit critical knowledge from participants. They get to work together and provide full answers to business and other reasons for the training.

The above features are all true, but it doesn't cover the true strength and potential of a modern training program. Nowadays training programs are held like an interactive discussion; every participant is given an equal amount of time to contribute and everyone learns from each other and not just the facilitator alone. In an interactive training session, participants share their professional, business, and career problems as well as the processes they followed to solve the problem. This makes learning experiential and complete for everyone, including the facilitators.

Why attend training? This is another question we must ask and provide a simple but relatable answer. Training must have an achievable goal it must be clear what must be demonstrated in terms of consistency to show that it is complete and successful. So, it is important to set clear targets, use the best person to deliver the training, and monitor by paying attention to their knowledge and enthusiasm as a way of knowing of establishing that the trainees are taking in the knowledge and skills.

If training is conducted correctly, it becomes a business consultation where participants tender their problems, and then solutions are provided. These solutions may be in form of direct answers or past and present experiences from other participants or facilitators. Some participants have worked away from a training with an idea and or concept that became the basis of their success story today. What looked like a silent contribution turns out to become the very cornerstone of the business that has just been created.

The main reason organizations send their staff for training is to make them more productive and if the results after are favorable, the business thrives. An entrepreneur will attend training to improve his/her critical thinking, planning, and implementation skills. All participants have different reasons for attending training, but one thing they have in common is that they want to leave as better versions of themselves professionally and personally.

As an example, I will use our recently concluded 'Business Development Masterclass'. The Masterclass is an ‘Open’ training where participants come from different organizations and industries to attend. This Masterclass had various segments, touching on the basic components of business development – marketing, sales, customer relationship, project management, and personal effectiveness. Participants attend and leave the training with a wealth of knowledge and skills both within and outside their industries and even culture. It was supposed to be training but it ended up serving as a platform to conceive, develop and test ideas. Isn’t this what consulting is about? Participants share personal experiences and stories that could help solve other participants’ current challenges. The feedback after the Masterclass has been great, with participants already implementing the new knowledge they gained. After each training, we also provide a form of mentorship and create milestones for the participants as this serves as a way of ticking all the goals they set before and after the Masterclass training.

It is important to see training past the usual lectures and case studies. It has evolved to where participants get premium consultation from the wonderful experience. It is interesting to note that training also serves as a form of networking because you may not always be capable of solving the challenges in your business and sometimes, the solution can be another individual in the next training program you attend. The next time you hear the word training, think consulting.

BusinessLearn How To Manage Your First Project by CPPL(op): 3:22pm On Jul 05, 2022
As an entrepreneur, one skill you must acquire is what we call the project management mindset. What does this mean? Simply put, it’s the ability to approach what you do as a project. It is about preparation, planning, and execution. You don't need to be a certified project manager to apply those principles to the way you manage your life and work.

You can get up one morning and decide to renovate your office building. This renovation will involve controlling and balancing the three M’s of business (man, money, and materials). You usually call this process management, but unlike the running of the day-to-day activities of your business, this process has a finite date. It is called a project, and the process of managing it is called "Project Management." Project management involves all the processes, methods, skills, techniques, or knowledge applied to the completion of a particular assignment or project.

A project is a temporary endeavour undertaken to produce a unique product, service, process, or outcome. The person in charge of a project is called a project manager, and he/she should have the ability to manage the technical, people, risk, and quality issues of the project.
As an entrepreneur, you will have a course to engage your customers or clients in the form of a marketing campaign, complaint management, or the general routine show of care via customer service. Imbibing a project management mindset will help you achieve positive results effortlessly.

Imagine you have a marketing campaign to plan and execute. What would you require to get it done? The following steps will assist you in the process:
-Write a general overview.

-Define your goals and objectives.

-Ensure good communication.

-Understand your team members.

-Support your team members.

-Evaluate your risks.

-Motivate the team.

-Be flexible.

-Always have a plan B.

-End the project properly.

-Review your performance.

The perfect example of project management is the FIFA World Cup, hosted every four years. Although it is a football competition, there is a build-up to the competition. It requires resources, cooperation, and funding. The process begins with the bid for who will host the World Cup, and then the preparations begin. Various nations qualify for that particular edition; stadiums are built; the accommodation for players, delegates, staff, media, etc. is arranged; and the media coverage and sponsorship deals are concluded. Some projects last weeks or months, while some last years, but there is always an end date. People may argue that FIFA world cups are continuous, but the fact remains that a particular world cup must end before preparations for another one begin, and that is the definition of a project.

Heading a project can be tasking at times because it involves the proper management of resources. Funding can be difficult, especially when projects are long-term. There is always a starting capital at the beginning of every project. For short-term projects, all the funding is provided at once, while for long-term projects, it may be provided each quarter. Having good finance skills or employing someone with professional experience is crucial because wasting funds and not properly accounting for each expense may lead to poor project management outcomes. You will also have to deal with human resources. Human desires are insatiable and unpredictable, so having a good working relationship with all of the workers and team members will determine the project's speed, quality, and efficiency.

When done effectively, project management has a lot of benefits.
-It maximises and fosters teamwork.

-When carried out properly, it leads to technological advancements and customer satisfaction.

-Defining everyone’s role eliminates confusion.

-Defining goals improves team effectiveness.

-A well-defined communication plan keeps your team aligned and focused.

Accountability is key in project management, and it is important to keep good records of all activities. Aside from records, a good plan and strategy are also important, which is why I recommend you have a detailed action plan and a checklist. They will contain the activities you have planned each day and week for the duration of the project. A review or performance assessment should always be done at the end of every project. This will determine whether or not the project was successful. It will measure the outcome against the initial objectives to determine whether the project performed poorly, on average, or excellently. This assessment will also show if the recourses were optimized.

A project management mindset is an important skill every business owner or entrepreneur must seek to acquire. The business will embark on one project or the other if it wants to evolve, expand, or diversify. The results from each project should be studied and used in future projects.
In summary, we all need to acquire a project management mindset to excel at work and in business. It is about preparation, planning, and execution and you don't need to be a certified project manager to apply the mindset to the way you manage your life and work.

BusinessStep Out Of The Crowd And Market Your Products Or Services Like A Boss by CPPL(op): 10:40am On Jun 15, 2022
Customers may forget brand names or logos, but memories are lasting, and the greater the impact, the more likely they are to drive action (Convert). One marketing strategy that thrives on creating lasting impressions on consumers is ‘Guerilla Marketing’. It is a marketing activity that involves creating advertising that catches the audience by surprise and creates memorable advertisements. When done right, Guerilla marketing works as a pleasant surprise. It catches customers off guard and gives them a little room to react, reducing the chances of objections.

Just like using military tactics, especially guerrilla warfare, which involves using tactics such as raids, ambushes, and elements of surprise. Guerrilla marketing employs the same tactics (but from a marketing standpoint!). The idea behind such a strategy is to take the consumer by surprise.

The four major types of Guerilla marketing include;

i. Outdoor Guerilla Marketing.
ii. Indoor Guerilla Marketing.
iii. Event Ambush Guerilla Marketing.
iv. Experimental Guerilla Marketing.
Outdoor Guerilla Marketing involves advertising in open spaces like on the roadside, in front of office buildings, etc. The key factor is doing or using something unusual that is easily identifiable. It could be a big figurine, statue, or costume, but all the activities must directly link back to your brand.

Indoor Guerilla Marketing is done in confined spaces like office floors, stores, malls, restaurants, online, etc. They usually involve attention-grabbing acts like comedy shows, magic, or dance acts.

Event Guerilla Marketing is done during pre-existing events like; concerts, shows, or festivals. It could involve giving out free samples of your products in order to attract consumers.

Experimental Guerilla Marketing combines outdoor, indoor, event ambush, and experimental Guerilla marketing together. It can range from giving free samples of your energy drinks during a concert to mounting a big figurine in a mall and organising a stage play around it.

A very good example of Guerilla marketing is the famous BetKing advert, starring former Super Eagles star J.J. Okocha. The advert was unusual and caught viewers off guard when a former football star started to dance. The advert was not only fun, but it left a lasting impression in viewers’ minds, while still passing the required information.

Guerilla marketing is cost-effective and gives an avenue for brands to go viral. Over the years, brands have gotten noticed, for their out-of-the-ordinary commercials, adverts, or styles of marketing. This is because they didn’t use conventional marketing strategies.

Having creative, unique, and unusual marketing ads or commercials is good, but brands usually get carried away. They sacrifice entertainment for the intended message, and the consumers are left confused. It takes a professional to be able to efficiently deliver the right advertisement with the intended message. This is why you need a top-notch marketing agency like CPPL (Customer Passion Point Limited). BusinessStart Making Informed Decisions And Leave Speculation In The Past by CPPL(op): 4:07pm On Jun 08, 2022
As a business owner, you are required to make important decisions concerning your products or services but have you ever wondered if those decisions were the right ones for your business?

You may find yourself saying, "If only I had enough information, I would have made the right decisions." It is not as simple as you think, but just like any business problem, there is a way to make informed decisions.

In the world of business, information is key. As W. Edward Deming once said, "Without data, you’re just another person with an opinion." Through data and information, you can make the best decisions for your business. The best way to get into the minds of your consumers and make the best decisions about your products and services is through Marketing Research.

Marketing research is testing the feasibility of your product or service through data analysis, polls, surveys, news, segmentation, and quality research. The idea is to find your audience and understand their wants, needs and dislikes. Through market research, you can understand your target audience and find the communication channels that are best suited to interact with them. It is also a good way to determine whether or not a new product should be launched.

Aside from internal decisions, market research is also useful in competition analysis because it will help you determine the best practices in your industry and keep you up to speed on price shifts, new technologies, marketing, and even advertising.

There are two main types of market research: qualitative and quantitative methods. Quantitative methods can be done and counted physically or digitally within your business premises, like online surveys, questionnaires and polls. While Qualitative methods involve gathering data from sources like focus groups, news, journals, articles, case studies, one-on-one interviews and social media discussions.
When proper market research is done, you make decisions based on the needs and wants of your consumers.

Even after gathering all the necessary data, you will still need the service of an expert to interpret it and when it comes to marketing, CPPL is your number one agency. We have a team of experienced offline and online marketers who can effectively carry out market research and interpret the data obtained without any stress. We can help you carry out your entire marketing research and provide you with credible insights and recommendations that will guide you in making the right decisions concerning your products or services.

Would you rather speculate or make informed decisions?

BusinessActivate Your Customers' Curiosity Through Brand Activation by CPPL(op): 1:08pm On Jun 03, 2022
Are you a new brand that wants to create quality awareness for your products and services in the market or an existing brand that wants to connect with its audience at an emotional level? This is achievable despite the very challenging and competitive environment we operate in Nigeria and across international markets. We believe that ‘brand activation’ is a credible and affordable solution. It creates a medium for customers to interact with your brand and products and services and if properly done and over some time leads to loyal customers.

Brand activation is a marketing activity that involves increasing brand awareness through various brand engagement experiences such as sampling, dance shows, contests, celebrity endorsements, promotions, guerrilla, and experiential marketing to mention a few.
The major objectives of a brand activation activity are to increase brand awareness, develop good customer relationships and make a statement in the minds of the consumers and the market at large.

Some effective ways you can activate your brand include:
-Sampling Campaigns.
-Experience Based Campaigns.
-In-Store Brand Activation.
Sampling Campaigns involve giving physical samples to prospective customers. The essence is for them to test your product and eventually make a personal purchase. People always remember memorable experiences. That is the purpose of using this method.

Experience-Based Campaigns. This type of brand activation focuses on creating memorable experiences with dancing competitions, comedy shows, or live product demonstrations. This is the most commonly used brand activation strategy because it creates awareness for the audience, demonstrates how the product is used, and also leaves a lasting memory.

In-Store Brand Activation focuses on using promos, discounts, or coupons to create awareness for a new product. This strategy is effective in attracting people, and on some occasions, sideshows are held in stores. This type of brand activation is mostly used by stores, because of its in-house nature.

Brand activations can help promote your brand’s value and convert regular customers into loyal ones. Just like other marketing activities, your brand activation performance can be tracked and monitored. You will know the success rate of your brand activation by your sales rate, brand awareness, product adoption rate, and even your social media engagement rate.

At this point, you should have an idea of how important brand activation is. It is a very powerful marketing tool that can be used by both new and existing brands. Developing brand activation campaigns requires planning and a great level of expertise that we at Customer Passion Point Limited (CPPL) have.

We are an experienced and data-driven agency that uses problematic marketing solutions to drive brand awareness and boost sales. We focus on Consumer Promotions, Experiential Marketing, Guerrilla Marketing, Digital Campaigns, Shopper Marketing, and Sampling Campaigns.

We are not new in the brand activation business as we have executed various brand activation campaigns, some of which were for brands like Ecobank and Healthgarde International Nigeria Limited.

You don’t have to bother about your business’s brand activation activities. Leave it to us and let us do what we know how to do best. Contact us now and enjoy the rewards of effective brand activation.

BusinessYour Social Media, A Powerful Marketing Tool For Your Brand / Business. by CPPL(op): 4:12pm On May 25, 2022
Out of all the various segments of digital marketing, social media marketing is the most personalized segment. Social media has gone through quite some evolution. Back when social media platforms were a new sensation, businesses and professionals thought they were for only chatting, and socializing. A lot has changed over the years and social media has become the most important medium for businesses to reach their target audience.

The importance of social media platforms cannot be overstated. Today, small-scale businesses use their social media platforms like a website; their handles contain information about their businesses, contact information, booking information, and engaging content that tells a story about their brand. Through social media, brands can pass important information, lunch new products, connect with customers, and run offers and promotions. When it comes to social media, the possibilities are endless and you are only limited by the level of your creativity.

With all the possibilities, influence, and advantages social media has, the question now is ‘How do I leverage social media?. The answer is simple - ‘Social Media Marketing’. This combines images, videos, hashtags, mentions, and third-party marketing to attract your target audience, keep them interested and convert them into repeat customers. You know your social media marketing campaign is effective when your brand is mentioned and tagged. When your brand is in multiple conversions, it shows that your customers are marketing your products or services; this is called ‘Third Party Marketing’.

One aspect of the social media marketing that is very important is customer feedback. As we know ‘Customers are King’, and so their comments and feedback should be treated with utmost importance. In the same way that customers can market your products or services in good light, they can also market you negatively. When customer feedback is not treated as urgent, they get angry and lash out. It is good to always be on the lookout for customer feedback on your pages and competitors’ pages. Respond immediately to feedback as people are more likely to believe what others say about your brand than what you claim to be true.

At CPPL, we have the saying "Market your products or services where your customers usually spend most of their time". We help our clients to run data analysis to determine which social media platforms their target audience spends most of its time. The information we get from our research is what we use in running our social media marketing campaigns. We also provide weekly reports showing the social media performance of our clients, while improving their engagement, link clicks, watch time, impressions, reach, and conversion rates.

Let us handle and manage your social media pages, and we promise you only the best results. Kindly click on the link below to book a consultation session with us:

BusinessContent Marketing, That Connecting Factor For Brand And Business Growth. by CPPL(op): 12:05pm On May 20, 2022
Content marketing is not only about creating attractive content; it is also about creating content that has value for your audience. Your aim for content marketing should be to provide value for your target audience rather than selling your products. Content marketing is a unique digital marketing strategy because it helps build trust between brands/businesses and their target market. When you run promotional ads, they attract potential customers to purchase your products, but this is usually a one-off purchase. Content marketing becomes a process where your audiences are attracted to your content because it is relevant to them. With time, they anticipate your content and become loyal customers.

There are various ways to create valuable and relevant content but first, understand your target audience. When you understand their wants, likes, dislikes, interests, patterns, and problems, you are better positioned to develop valuable content for them. What is valuable content? It can create quality awareness and generate interest which grows into a strong desire that ultimately needs action (purchase) using the AIDA principle.

Contents on tips, strategies, problems, or solutions are great for attracting and providing value to your audiences. So, your content marketing is successful when viewers think of value before cost as a result of the trust built over time with the content you share. When they think that there is value in your content, they will be willing to pay for your solutions - products or services.

An example of a successful content marketing campaign for a ‘Tooth Paste Manufacturing Company’ is described below. The first set of posts can be on ‘Effects of Tooth Cavities on Adults’. This will attract people to view or read your content while still providing them with valuable information. The next set of posts can be ‘Causes of The Tooth Cavity'. Then you can publish content on ‘Tips on Preventing Tooth Cavities'. At this point, your audience trusts your content and is hooked on your content style. This is when you start to market your products, stating how your products can solve all the problems you have listed in the previous posts.

Contents used in content marketing can range from art to pictures, videos, or articles. The quality and credibility of your content are very important because you are trying to build trust with your existing and potential customers. Giving the audience false information is the wrong way to market your content. Customers are getting smarter, and they will verify the information you post, so it is best to publish credible content.

Content marketing is a gradual process and an organic digital marketing strategy that requires patience and creativity. At the CPPL Digital Marketing Masterclass, which will hold on the 26th of May 2022, we will discuss this and share useful guides on how to develop effective content marketing campaigns that will help increase awareness and conversion rate of your brand/business online. This is not the time to delay your decision-making; you need to utilize the untapped power of content marketing. We have limited seats left.

BusinessMarket Your Content To The Right Target Audience by CPPL(op): 10:02am On May 18, 2022
One major mistake businesses make is sending the right content to the wrong audience. It is not enough for you to have relevant and attractive content, you also need the right target audience. Your contents are only as relevant as the audience who views them. When you send contents to the right target audience, your contents become more powerful and effective.

Having the right target audience is not just about the interests of people, other factors such as; pricing, location, and timing play a huge role in making up the right target audience. For instance, if you own a big store that sells clothes to teenagers, logically your target audience should be children between the ages of 13-19. But, if you consider other factors like; the distance of your store to your customers, the prices of your clothes, and what climate season you are currently in, then you can effectively segment you audience.

The right question to ask now is ‘How do I get the right target audience for my business’, as difficult as that question may be, getting the answer is easier than you think. Before you begin your marketing campaign, you will need to segment your audience, after segmenting them you can now begin to analyze them. You don’t immediately get the right target audience, it is actually a continuous process of reporting, observing, and weeding that eventually leads you to the position where you arrive at the right target audience. Running offline and online surveys are good tools for understanding your target audience, but there are also analytical tools such as:
• Facebook and Instagram insights,
• Twitter analytics,
• Google Analytics, and
• Google search console
These tools help you to break down your audience, and from this, you can begin to segment your audiences.
Segmenting your target audience is over 40% of the workload involved in your marketing campaign.

At CPPL, we function as a content marketing agency, which helps businesses effectively segment their target audiences, in order to generate; credible leads, improve their engagements, increase their click-through rate, and conversion rate. We have competent professionals, who can effectively interpret your business analytics and then give value-added recommendations that will help properly segment your target audience. We can also help you to develop the right content for your audience and help you develop a content and scheduling plan.

BusinessValue Creation Mindset And Performance Improvement by CPPL(op): 12:48pm On May 06, 2022
It was indeed a long holiday. We hope you made the best of it.

As you settle back to your work and or business we would like to quickly share with you how you can improve your performance by simply imbibing Value Creation Mindset. The major difference between two brands or businesses is the approach and mindset they adopt.

There’s a value creation mindset and there’s a fixed mindset that you may have been used to. A mindset is an aspect of a decision and general systems theories that explains the notion of philosophy held by people or groups of people. “Mind-sets are those collections of beliefs and thoughts that make up the mental attitude, inclination, habit or disposition that predetermines a person’s interpretations and responses to events, circumstances, and situations. It is a set of assumptions, methods, or notions held by one or more people or groups of people. It can also be seen as arising out of a person’s worldview or philosophy of life”. Having the right mindset is crucial for development and growth in both career and business.

Value Creation Mindset and Fixed Mindset, What Are They?

Value creation is giving something valuable to receive something else that’s more valuable. This definition applies to all business stakeholders (business owners, customers and employees. Value is only gotten when value is given. If businesses produce products/services that have value to them, but no value to customers, the company has not created value at all.

Value creation is about being to your audience what they want you to be to them. It’s about delivering value to your audience on their terms. For this to happen, you have to understand the needs of your customers/clients and organize your resources to meet them at the least possible cost. It’s about knowing the when, how, and where value is required and ensuring that the right level of resources is provided to make things happen. It is about flexibility and focusing on understanding the customer’s primary and hidden expectations.

On the other hand, a fixed mindset is a belief that things cannot change. That intelligence, personality, skills, and talents cannot be improved or are unchangeable. This mindset is characterized as static intelligence where individuals and businesses give up easily, avoid challenges, see effort as fruitless, ignore useful negative feedback, and feel threatened by the success of others.

Our mindset plays a major role in our motivation, resilience, and achievement. While many people are familiar with these definitions, they are sometimes unsure exactly how to put these concepts into daily practice.

Many people have specific fixed mindset triggers, like comparisons or tough challenges. Do some of the fixed mindset examples sound familiar? They may help you identify your own triggers, and help you work hard at changing it.

In this day and age, it’s not acceptable for anyone to work with a fixed mindset. It just would not get you anywhere. No growth or progress can be achieved with this. We, therefore, advocate for it to be replaced completely with a value creation mindset which healthier and more sustainable.

It is important to note that value creation is not always in form of money. Sometimes it is for-profit and sometimes it could be for awareness. Before business decisions are made, you must take the time to challenge the idea and do a financial analysis on it. It is vital to sell your product/service’s BENEFITS and not FEATURES!

Someone with a value creation mindset views intelligence, abilities, and talents as learnable and capable of improvement through effort. On the other hand, someone with a fixed mindset views those same traits as inherently stable and unchangeable over time.

For example, as an aspiring entrepreneur, you need basic finance skills to create your business’s budget and prepare its financial statements. If you have a fixed mindset, you may think, “I’ve never been good with math, let alone financial statements. I’m not cut out to run my own business.” Now imagine you approach the situation with a value creation mindset. You might think, “I don’t have a background in finance, but I can learn and practice those skills until I feel capable.”

“Having a value creation and ownership mindset serves as a key factor in accelerating an individual’s growth and development within an organization. An employee who possesses a value creation mindset is one with a long-term vision. People with long term visions are more likely to succeed than people with a short-term vision”.

At CPPL, we create value through consumer insights. We can help you transit from operating with a fixed mindset to operating with a value creation mindset. Click this link to book a free consultation session with us.

BusinessThe Importance Of Soft Skills In Building A Viable And Sustainable Businesses by CPPL(op): 5:40pm On Apr 27, 2022
Creating and delivering value for business success as an owner or professional that provides solutions is extremely important in today’s business realities. You will need more than just the necessary technical skills to succeed.

Beyond technical skills, there is the need for your staff to see themselves as an integral part of the value-creating process of the organization and learn to engage appropriately with all internal and external stakeholders — productively and profitably. This requires constant learning and honing the new, relevant soft skills.

According to Wikipedia “Soft skills are a combination of people skills, social skills, communication skills, character/personality traits, attitudes, mindsets, career attributes, social intelligence and emotional intelligence” the list is endless if you ask me. They include all you need to do to be personally effective at work and in life.

BusinessTurn Your Brand's Graphics Into A Bazooka by CPPL(op): 10:59am On Apr 25, 2022
When most upcoming and a few experienced entrepreneurs think of graphics, what usually comes to mind is a medium to pass across important information or attract prospects. What they fail to realize is how powerful a graphic is.

With good graphics, a brand will not only pass the right message across to its target audience, but it will also give them a clear view of the products or services and value the brand offers.

When creating a graphic, put into consideration your target audience, the digital or traditional medium you want to promote the graphics on, the value you are creating for your customers, and also the actions you want them to take after viewing your graphics. After putting these factors into consideration, the question becomes ‘How do I fit all these factors into one graphic?’.

A common mistake brands make is fitting a lot of information into a graphic and this pushes too much information onto the faces of the viewers. Statistics show that when there is too much information in graphics, people tend to ignore some of the information shown.

If you are new in content creation, it is best to create separate graphics for a particular Ad, sale, or service. For example, if you own a business that sells fat reduction tea bags, you would want a graphic that has the following content or information: business name, logo, address, pictures of the products, contact information, call to action, discounts, or value creation.

If you do not think you could effectively fit all this information into a single graphic, you could create a few graphics indicating specific information like; value creation, sales or discounts, testimonials, pictures of the product, and instructions on how to use the product. After separating the contents, you can decide to post or promote the graphics individually or together.

It is also important to know the specific marketing objectives (brand awareness, consideration, and drive sales) you are assigning with every individual graphic. This will help you estimate the results and make the message clear to the target audience.

Having a clear call to action is very important when designing a graphic. When you understand how to effectively combine the right amount of information in graphics, you would start to notice the difference in your marketing campaigns.

BusinessAre Customers Always Right? by CPPL(op): 10:56am On Apr 13, 2022
Right from secondary school, we were told in our business studies classes and our parents who traded, that “customers are always right”. This same ideology was taught to them by their parents and teachers, but once they started their businesses, they began to question this ideology. Like John Donne said “no man is an island”, which shows that people make mistakes all the time.

Yes, customers are indeed the lifeblood of every business and as a business owner, you should strive to satisfy them. When customers are happy and satisfied, they patronize and refer your business, but when left unsatisfied they won’t patronize your business and can go as far as spoiling the brand’s image. It is this ‘WRATH’ of customers every business desperately tries to avoid.

When customers request products or services and are willing to pay for them, they automatically become de facto kings/queens. Sometimes these products or services may not be appropriate for them, but due to the power they hold, the business ignores this key detail and sells the product to them regardless of any future consequence.

For example, a customer wants to buy a 100kva generator, but the electrical load in his house is about 50kva. This particular customer is financially capable of purchasing this generator but, it is not right for him. Using a 100kva generator with a light electrical load can eventually spoil the generator, but the salesperson sells the customer the 100kva generator because the customer was adamant about purchasing a higher kva generator. In this instance was the customer right?

Experienced salesmen say “Customers are important, but are not always right. It is for you as a good salesman to explain every fact about a product to a customer”. Customer relations personnel deal with all kinds of customers ranging from polite, patient, rude, ignorant and impatient customers.

It’s not like they do not know that customers are not always right, but they understand how important every customer is to any business. They know how to manage, calm, reassure, and effectively enlighten customers on certain matters.

All in all, as a business owner, customer relations personnel, or salesman, it is important to know that “customers may not be always right” however, always have it at the back of your mind that they are the reason your business or job exists and will continue to exist. Managing each customer effectively is key in driving sales and profit.

BusinessDeveloping A Marketing Plan Can Be This Simple – 4 Simple Steps... by CPPL(op): 2:08pm On Apr 11, 2022
Here are the 4 simple steps to developing a simple, functional, and effective marketing plan.
Stage 1: Understand the Market:
The market consists of:
Company – your business
Customer/ Client – those you are called to serve
Competitors – others offering similar solutions.
Collaborators – partners and facilitators
Context / Climate – how business is done in the industry.
Stage 2: The Message:
Great brands are characterized by their ability to communicate. Your clients want you to engage them, communicate with them, add value to their business, solve their problems and create opportunities for them.
Stage 3: Infrastructure/ Platforms:
Build communication platforms that will deliver effective and efficient reach. It is about quality management.
The platforms you choose will depend on your business objectives and this will in turn inform your channel mix.
Stage 4: Measurement/ Control
Anything you cannot measure is not worth doing. Your marketing activities or programs must be measured and evaluated regularly. Your objectives must be clear and your strategies to achieve them must be focused and properly aligned with the vision of your business.
Finally, execute excellently and ensure there are adequate controls.

BusinessHow To Create Winning Marketing Strategies That Will Increase Your Profit Margin by CPPL(op): 4:05pm On Apr 07, 2022
When designing marketing strategies for your business or brand, you should ask yourself these important questions:
Who are my customers?
How can I serve them better?
What is my value proposition?

Winning strategies come from a good understanding of your customer, In business, you must know your market audience. Knowing your customers will save you resources and effort because you know their needs and how best to approach them with your products/services.
Secondly, knowing them will help in developing the right solutions. Serving your customers mean, creating value for them. The better you are at it, the more they stay with you.

Finally, you must be clear about your promise to your customers. Every brand or business must have a value proposition that captures your promise to them. It is when they feel and think your value proposition meets the need that they have, then you are perceived to deliver value.
Your marketing is not complete until you can pass the message of your value proposition accurately to your customer – your message. The message you communicate is what links you (your business) with your customers. As we usually say "Great brands are characterized by their ability to communicate".
