For people who registered
after Thursday last week and
after, you’ll notice no IT “data
capturing form” was given to
you, this is cause all
biometrics/thumbprint
registration blah blah blah is
now done online on unilag’s
website. You only need to
print “A New Screening Form”
and a “Bio Data Page” that will
be used throughout your
Library Registration, Faculty
and Departmental registration
and all other subsequent
registrations.
1) After you’ve been screened
successfully at your
designated hall. You’ll have to
wait for at most two days for
the website to be updated
with your details then you can
“Update” your biodata, “Print
your Payment advice”, and
“Print your payment receipt”.
2) After you’ve completed the
procedure above and
exercised some patience for
the allotted time. Go to this link
http://
studentportal.unilag.edu.ng
3) Click the “Continue” link at
the extreme right of the page
and login. Your Jamb
Registration number is your
Matric. Number for now, Your
Password is your surname in
small letters.
4) Click the “Upload Passport
Photograph” button on the
page that appears, and don’t
panic if you didn’t see your
passport photograph in the
space for it, this is why you’re
uploading it. You can either
scan your passport from a
printer or you take a
reasonable picture of it with a
camera ( 8.0 mp and above
recommended) in .jpeg
or .png format then upload it
and have the page refreshed
to see the changes. If you
don’t like the output, you can
edit the picture and perform
the steps above again.
5) After you’ve completed the
step above, click the “Update
Biodata” button and edit the,
and fill in your details and then
PRINT//in colour.
6) Click the “Download
Screening Form” button on
the same page and PRINT that
page also//in colour. P.S You’ll
notice the page has your
“Jamb Passport” on it and also
a scanned picture of the
passport that was used during
your screening, this is what
your “thumb print” would
have been used to fetch but
instead your jamb registration
number was used during your
login which already has your
thumb print and your
screening form was submitted
after you had been screened
so its all interwoven now.
Make sure you’re quick about
whatever you want to do on
this pages as the page
refreshes and requests your
login details after about
15mins.
7) Finally, the printed forms
above will be used during the
aforementioned subsequent
registrations and any other
required registration.
NOTE: You can pay your school
fees now. Contact the banks in
Unilag for the account
number. Ecobank started
accepting the fees first so for
Ecobank, the A/C No is:
1962000191 and The A/C
Name: Unilag. If your payment
has been acknowledged by
the “School Bursary
Department” so you must take
your teller to the bursary
department for stamping and
stuff, you can then print/* in
colour */ your “Payment
Advice” and “Payment
Receipt” from the student
portal page .
If you haven’t paid yet, when
you click on the “Payment
Receipt” button on that page,
you’ll see the “outstanding”
text at the bottom of the table
you see on that page. So you
don’t want to print it yet until
you’ve paid, cause it’d be
pointless printing a page
saying something which
means you haven’t paid your
fees.
As for Faculty/Departmental
registration, visit your Faculty’s
notice board for the time-
table/registration schedule
allotted to your course of
study/department and take
some money with you, at least
N18,000, I guess this amount
covers your faculty dues and
all other “senrenre’.
Visit the school library around
the Senate building with your
“Bio-Data Page/Form” you
printed earlier for your library
registration which costs just
N200 and go through the
notices on the library’s main
entrance.
