NaijaCrusader:Will you blame Nigerians ![]() Presidential Jet Saga ... FG was silent until the bubble was bursted by the Chinese. Salaries of lawmakers ... NASS was silent until some members started going roque. EndSars ... No one died until a call for Mass burials where made. Still on EndSars ... After four years, a trio just got released from Ikoyi prison after initial denial that anyone was being held. PIDOM ... Denial then acceptance. NLC ... Denial then blackmail. Should I continue ![]() So don't blame Nigerians, blame Nigerians. |

Wawelexy:He's dead but Bob showed him great respect while alive. I remember Bob reverting to factory settings whenever the occasion called for his visit to his late dad. Case in point, the last birthday that was hosted in his honour before he passed. You can find that thread somewhere around these streets (Nairaland) |
cescky:Are you high ![]() |
SMH You see Muslims posting exalting and spiritually rewarding posts on Fridays. Trying to teach the message of Allah through His holy prophet Mohammed (SAW). Yet, Christians would on Sundays post irrelevant topics, ask stupid questions, make funny comparisons etc, thereby bringing the body of Christ to disrepute. No wonder you need to sweat an oath before you comment or post on an Islamic related topic. |

Just wow!!! My Worship is my Warship, It is my battle place. A place where I'm more than a conqueror!!! When you pray, Jehovah sends answers. When you praise/worship, He delivers Himself. That's why David with all his imperfections was and is still the man after God's heart. That is how I win my battles... |

Way back, we didn't have words like "Kidnapped" in our national lexicon. It was a word hardly used or when used, referred to an occurrence in a foreign or far away land. Then came the Niger Delta militants and the kidnapping of expat oil workers. Even at that, the target was never local. Somehow, the expats withdrew or heavily militarized their operations making it near impossible to be kidnapped. This criminal act was then legalized by the Musa Ya'radua administration with the granting of amnesty and enthronement of tribal militant lords. Ateke, Boyloaf, Asari, Tompolo, to mention a few. The amnesty program opened the eyes of politicians up north to the gains of terror and the subsequent benefits politically. Militancy brought about the NDDC. Today, terror has led to the creation of the NEDC, seperatist agitations in the South East has birthed the SEDC. More to come. We have heard of repentant Boko Haram members being reintegrated and settled amongst the civil society and very soon might be handling security contracts like the likes of Tompolo are doing in the Niger Delta. It could be "FarmLand" security running into billions. What is good for Tompolo is surely good for Mai Taushe. In conclusion, all these insecurities have political undertones. It was an open secret that the likes of Peter Odili, James Ibori, Alameiyesiegha and co were the sponsors of the Militants way back. We also know how they protected Tompolo from the Buhari regime until a truce was brokered. Same can be said of the North. A prominent former governor has been fingered, our VP is rumoured a major player, senators have been whispered to be in bed with bandits, traditional and religious leaders are not left out. In all, just like the case with the Niger Delta, politicians and those enthroned warlords become the beneficiary of the chaos and not the common man. Tompolo is now a billionaire contractor with the federal government, Ateke is now a king in his native OkrikaLand, Asari is a yes man boy to any president at the Rock because of the huge followership he commands. He (Asari) is also rumoured to have a university in far away Benin republic. Just to remind you, Ogoni is still an environmental wasteland, Torugbene has no link road(s), Bonny is still an explorative island, there are still no hospitals for the locals and access to qualitative education is still miles away for people living in Imiringi. Who benefits from all these again? |
Peakdesign23:Are you gay? Or Should I ignore the gender on your moniker? Osim "I once dated a guy" |
TheBillyonaire:I love your word play... |

Tjra:No sir, for double resignation, the Senate President is next in the order of succession. About Obi coming third again, well, that's open up for debate but winning That's absolutely out of the question. |
Well, depends on what you define success in this context to be. From my POV so far, the Nationwide protestations have been very impactful for a couple of reasons. 1. It has proven that Nigerians are not cowards. This can be said against the amount of threats, blackmail and arm twisting tactics deployed by government including security agents and tribal champions against the planned protest. 2. The turn out points to the fact that the grounds are swelling for a revolution. This might not happen in the lifetime of this government but if things continue like this going into the next decade, push might come to shove. 3. Igbos have been vindicated. 4. It has exposed the rudderlessness of this administration. |
Ola9ja23:Get a life bro!!! |
ElevationD:You're smart!!! |
kennyz247:So na protest go get voice ![]() Let them be and enjoy your protest in peace. Abi una dey look for who to abuse for public destruction when the time reach ![]() Like already stated, igbos are wiser now... |
