I so much value time and the things that I write. 2014 has been a wonderful year for me, exchanging words with you would have spoilt the year for me. But I know best not to exchange words with pple lyk u. Darkrebel:Me wallowing in poverty? If you call that poverty, then I wonder what to call your own present situation. Am sorry guys for derailing this wonderful thread. Accept my apology guys. |
You again? I thought u wud av grown up sha. But I am disappointed that you still do this. Darkrebel:Go and buy a yard of ribbon and cut it in ur room. This thread is meant for the serious people who seize every opportunity to make life better. Not for some wanna-be comedians. Peace. |
*Climbs the podium and collects the mic from Laykorn. Bows to the crowd and salutes the VIP on the high table. I never knew I'll be giving a speech at a great event like this. But a speaker/writer must not be caught unawares at public functions. Which is why I am delivering this very short speech. ------------------------------------------ Just like the event anchor said, my name is d9ty7. All protocols duely observed. I am awed by the level of seriousness being put into this E-event. Poetry represent one thing, emotion. When I first saw a the invitation for this event, I was like "lets go there and learn." And believe me, I want to learn all that is to be learnt in poetry. I have nothing much to say, just want to wish Mr OMA4U, a nice tenure in office, as well as his executive members. I hereby announce myself as the first student willing to learn from this innovative. I am sure you guys will be willing to help me know more about peotry, Iyabodeh, Timpaker, Princesa, Royver, Jigsawkillah, Texanomaly, the president himself and other great poets. *Bows once again to the crowd and salute the VIPs. Nothing stops us from having our own moderator on the peoms for Review section. And with one voice, we'll call for it so we can be represented on the frontpage like every other sections. Let one thing be our watchword, UNITY. I wish us a wonderful end of the year in advance. Thank you for the opportunity given to an unknown Nairalander like me to speak before this large audience and these word class poets and poetess seated. |
*Walks into the hall casually like every other guest. |
Anybody can do what I did. Its just a matter of who did it first, thank God and thank the mods. Who am I? TiffanyJ:Congrats once again ma'am. |
Congratulations to you Tiffanyj. More success to come your way. -I sight Davep and Kigphilip. |
Abeg no tell ur daddy o. I learnt he is a soldier. After God, na soldier I fear next. Beckytee:I'll drop one update 2mrw b'cos of u. But on a condition that you'll take us out. |
Tycoon3: The best thing you can do now is to stop posting the story here non Nairaland. Contact the moderators and tell to delete the thread. What't the link to that facebook page? |

CHAPTER 4 POST HIDDEN |
Now, I have endorsed the story thread. You all can go in there to second the post. Lets make this possible. |
Like I said, it wasn't intentional. If I subscribe today, I'll definitely update. Cashio: |
I am here again this morning. I endorse The story 'The decietful couple' by Tiffanyj. To be effected on or before 23-11-2014. https://www.nairaland.com/1950977/deceitful-couple. To the mods: If you know me very well, I don't endorse stories that are not up to standard. As a matter of fact, this particular story is well above the standard. Moderator: Mynd44, Obinoscopy, Obinnau, Mukina2 Cc: seun. Thanks in anticipation. |
I was left wondering why a story which has amassed over 47,000 views is yet to make the front page. I got my answers immediately. You guys are only interested in reading this story, you are not interested in the success of the story. I hereby challenge everyone of you to go into this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1210134/endorse-topics-make-frontpage/30 and endorse this story. Tiff is striving to satisfy you all, if not 100%, at least 50%. Some writers are not even as consistent as she is, yet they made the frontpage. Its not like they write better than Tiff, its just that they have supportive readers. The mods are not ready to put story thread on the fp unless we call for it. Please, please and please, lets make sure this story hit the fp before 8pm today. Thanks. |
Lemme see what I can do. But Tiffany's story not making the frontpage boils down to her fans/readers. ojingbe: |
I woke up this morning to see the comments of the following peepz. Rounakid GodofGrace Uthman51 haydot95 Ziziola Zainharb lanjum: The Thomas will resume soonest. onemansquad stoneofhelp |
U're nt d only one. Meself gave a short laugh as I typed it. Fareedha: |
I'll try and register my presence. laykorn: |
I already gave you the guy's name. Moreso, he was not copying this story but another one. Onemansquad: |
I thought its 8pm. How come 3pm? laykorn: |
He called himself Richy Nelly Richmond or something. Am sure he would have finished the story by now. Hopefully waiting for the part 3 which I have decided not to post. Uthman51: |
POST HIDDEN |
Abeg Kingzpen, no dey play dat kind of play with me again o. I don picture how Sanmi is gonna kill Dede and Salewa. Only for me to read the last update and see that the silly guy's second name na Joseph. I once considered it a dream, considering the manner in which the General asked Sanmi to go back home. But I just had to wait for the next update. Abeg, soldiers dey dream? |
Lol! Meself, I do ask myself that question. And to say I am always very busy all day, but I am always with my phone and since I do the typing at night. I just post when I want to. temmylove28: |

To that person clamouring for Deoye's episode: If you'll all agree with me, this story has a major plot and three sub-plot. If there are anything like that. If there are not, lets use those words for the purpose of this post. The main issue being tackled is terrorism and insurgence(Clement, Kelvin, and their father). Other issue being tackled are, cultism in tertiary institution(Deoye and the five girls), Blackmail(Janet, Benson and Sandra) and finally hired assasin(Victoria) If there are 100updates, 50will be about terrorism, 20 will be about cultism, and 15 will be about assasin and blackmail each. I think I am doing that. But don't worry, every issue being discussed will later be joined together and addressed in one update. Everyone of them will come to meet at the centre very soon. You just stick around and see where everything ends. Thanks. |
There is little you can do. I went there with links and everything to prove myself as the owner. Even his readers are only interested in the story, author or no author. Onemansquad: |
Boss! We just made frontpage. Congrats sir. --prof T.Dan: wetin I do? |
stuff46:Yeah |
why Jona and Patience picture no full reach their legs? I wan confirm the kind of shoes he had on. I sure sey na 90's loafers. The guy sabi lie ehn! To be sincere, Bianca made sense, same with Maryam. Why Abacha dey look like that? |
The rate at which plagiarists are acting these days is a major concern for we writers. You can imagine somewhere copying a story in the sexuality section and posting it in the literature section. Here on Nairaland. He only changed the title of the story. My question now is; what does it take you as a blogger or whatever to take permission with just a single mail message or phone call and give credit to the author. Not everyone is given the gift to write because if everyone go into writing, who will read? Yet some people want to write stories that they won't be able to defend or boast of. Its a major discouragement. A guy once did it to me before with my first story, took it from the literature section to romance, did a little adjustment to the title. I once came accross one guy posting this same story(my first story) on facebook. I spoke to him, but he claimed he copied it from another facebook page. You can just imagine. |
Tycoon3: abeg no starve us with update na. You have a nice story there. You must be related to Chinua Achebe or Tim Lahaye. Give us more updates. You go make frontpage. ---- But to say the truth, you be thief o. Big time thief. Make Jesus sef come fast fast, make all thieves and sinners go to hell. You stole a story on Nairaland, and still posted in on Nairaland. Only that you took it to another section. Sharp guys, changed the title too. |
