I really don't know how Tinubu is doing this. He is really a politician. But his styled is not excellent. He who wants to answer His Excellency should be ready to allow an excellent process to bring him to power. The rise and fall of a Man would be written by year 2027. |
Celebration of those who have afflict you to penury. In some saner clime. Bello should be rained with stones if guilty of the accusations and not celebrated. Political persecution is a manipulative approach to make his sins buried. Nigerians celebrating this man should know that Nigeria is no longer business as usual and they should wake up. |
Nigerians are the talkers. A country with more than 200 million people. Once they join the parley..your name makes the list. |

POLITICAL STRATEGIES USED TO MANIPULATE PEOPLE REVEALED Politics often refers to a game of numbers and is really interesting and unpredictable. The political class employ a whole lot of tools to manipulate or convince the people to get them vote for them. A politician does not need to campaign tirelessly only if he or she has impacted his people positively because works speaks louder that voice. PROPAGANDA Political lies, deceit and falsehood meant to either tarnish opponent’s image or to manipulate followers into believing what is not true and mostly for the purpose of actualizing one’s interest. Propaganda is information that is not objective and is used primarily to convince an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting selective facts to encourage a particular synthesis or perception, or using loaded language to produce an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is presented. Propaganda is often associated with materials prepared by an opposition party, activist groups and secessionists. The media can also produce propaganda to score cheap political points. Propaganda is now moving into high technology which include use of photoshop to produce false pictures, use of computer to produce someone’s voice and a lot more. In a 1929 literary debate with Edward Bernays, Everett Dean Martin argues that, “Propaganda is making puppets of us. We are moved by hidden strings which the propagandist manipulates.” DEBATES Many times what we say is different from what we do. What we command, or instruct, seems hard for us to attain. In reality, abstract does not work. An initiative, or an idea that is not put into action is like water poured on a surface of rock. The essence of debate is to convince the public on what had happened, is happening or will happen. Solutions are proffered by the debater on what will happen if he or she happens to be in the same position. When the solutions are proffered, a critical analysis of the attainability of the goal is considered. In debate, ovation goes to who can speak well while in governance, the ovation goes to who can do it well. Some people are endowed in speech presentation, construct, fluency, charisma, public speaking and confidence while some people are not. Factors like environmental influence, poor educational qualification, poor confidence, poor articulation causes poor debate presentation and our memory can even fail or disappoint us when most needed. Research and facts during debates draws the attention of the spectators, bold statements increases their enthusiasm while promises of positive change attract the greatest applaud. During debates, we are often quick to trust the debaters emotionally rather than rationally, we forget issues of personality, qualification, past records, belief and ability of the debater to work with a team. Of course, if one who has a good intention makes a wrong choice of team – the whole plan of action will suffer setback. ONLINE POLLS Statistics using polls have been shown to be a working prediction about the outcome of a voting process or election. The working tools include using sampling method to draw out sample among the population. A population is the number of the people living in a geographical area in a particular time. Sample is the number of people used to represent the population i.e, they are like few drawn to represent the idea of the population. It is through samples we know the ideas about others and how they feel. In statistical research, samples are drawn using a sampling method to cover all the area councils in Abuja if Abuja is the subject of discourse. In Nigeria, most social media online polls have depicted negative results compared to the main voting process because it has shown that people who would end up voting are those who don’t even have social media appearance. Those are the majority; social media polls have in most times been wrongly accepted and believed by many as a litmus test of how election results would be. DEMAGOGUE Some leaders are so fortunate that they unexplainably enjoy the love and support of their people. They demonstrate, play and pretend to be the man of the people while they are not. The say one thing and do the other. A demagogue can be described as a leader who seeks support by appealing to the desires and prejudices of ordinary people rather than by using rational argument. Most times we are easily deceived by these politicians into believing that they feel what the common man feels - they sometimes come and buy corn in the street, drink garri like every other person, and eat in the canteen while using high tech camera to make us see them in social media. This is mostly seen during the electioneering campaign. They won’t let you know the kind of expensive mattress they sleep on, the kind of exotic cars they drive, the kind of houses they built outside the country. A demagogue is equally known as populist, rabble rouser – it describes a leader who gains popularity in a democracy by exploiting prejudice and ignorance to arouse the common people against elite (Osundare, 2018). To further describe it in relation to the topic, he is a politician skilled in oratory, flattery and lies; evasive in discussing vital issues; promising everything to everybody; appealing to the passions rather than the reason of the public; and arousing racial, religious and class prejudices – a man whose lust for power without recourse to principle leads him to seek to become a master of the masses (Osundare, 2018). Demagoguery is a calculated pretense, a cynical, clever exploitation of people’s vulnerability, a diabolic play-acting that keeps the exploited eulogizing the opportunistic do-gooderism of the ruler while turning their eyes away from their impoverished plight and the thieving antics of the ruler whose very policies and actions/inactions have kept the people in the abyss of penury (Osundare, 2018). First, impoverish the people, then try to impress them with the gravity of his show of care and concern. Work into the vulnerable part of their consciousness; let them know how safe it is for them to leave their thinking to you to do for them. Trick them into thinking – and believing - that in fighting for him they are also fighting for themselves. A genuine leader is not who joins the people in the pit for one ephemeral moment for a calculated photo-op, while pretending at being poor. Instead, he is one who does everything to lift them from the pit, to the point where they can live and thrive as full human beings (Osundare, 2018). The strategy of demagoguery has been used by our politicians to manipulate the majority of the people. POLITICAL DECEIT Social media space has aid promulgation and proliferation of deceit, false personality, identity and intentions. These scavengers of deceit target one’s psyche and try to convince one using every tool. It has helped politicians who tend to be rabble rousers and populist to thrive. Some politician goes to the extent to declare their asset and their salary without declaring the allowances and other accrued benefits that they enjoy. Some of our politicians don’t say the truth, they go ahead and show or advertise prospect project architectural drawings just to make people believe that they are performing. They even sometimes advertise jobs and contracts which they have given out already just for publicity. The easiest way they use to deceive people are through false advertisement and false editorials and news EDITORIAL/NEWS: Newspaper headlines always come in a sweetest caption that can get the attention of thousands of people in a glance. It is always buy at first sight. I saw one which read “Stephnie Okereke and her white husband”. When I bought the paper and read through, the content was that Stephnie acted a movie with a white man as husband. Newspaper headlines are not always reliable and credible. It is always good to read the content to avoid misinformation. Most times, people assume information source is true. Also people tend to believe unreliable information from credible source than credible information from an unreliable source and this is the tactics of most politicians – dishing out lies using credible sources. Freedom of Information is very good and allows us to make informed decision – the ability to make wise decision depends on our ability to process the information we have intelligently. If the person that received the information does not have the ability or the intelligence to process the information, then decision may be an unwise one. Nigerians hate to hear social media regulation bill, but the fact still remain that where we have many people with high vulnerability to be gullible – regulation of information becomes one of the best solutions. VOTE BUYING: One of the deceptive shenanigan of most politicians is to buy votes with gift or money which had paid them in most recent times. The United Kingdom mocked Nigeria recently on vote buying. Vote buying sometimes makes the electorate to vote against their wish. People who are gullible tend to fall easily to this. According to veteran Nigerian Author Yul Edochie, he noted.” I always thought our problem was our leaders till I joined politics and realized the people are also a big part of the problem. If you run for office and you don’t have money to share, even your village people will leave you and support a well-known kidnapper who is sharing money’. PROMISES: It has become a norm by majority of our politicians to promise what they cannot do. Having known that there are lots of things to do, they use it as ‘promises to deceive gullible ones. “I will fire Onitsha” and “I will water Obosi” – a very laughable grammar used by one of the politician during his campaign when he wanted to say “I will provide electricity and water in Onitsha and Obosi simultaneously”. Sometimes, they will start up a gigantic project towards the end of their first term so as to use it to campaign for second term after promising that they will use only one term in office. Most of the promises of Nigerian politicians were not fulfilled when they get to the office they campaigned for. Igbokwe Davidson.O |

Wike and road construction is like 1 and 2. But this is sickening. Buiding roads is not the only thing that opens a country. |
To get more information on how to use your 20% effectively check my signature or search *Be rich as a student* a book discovery. |
Duration of schooling comes with a lot of daily spendings. From bills, textbooks, gas, term papers, various subscriptions etc. Parents won't be able to do everything. During my school days, I depended on my parent for every kobo and never did thought that I could start being financially independent by developing entrepreneurial skills. The discovery I made now is that students should learn how to divide whatever money (100%) given to them in the percentage of 20% and 80%. 80% will be transportation fares, wears, textbook, assignments, gas, subscription etc while 20% will be like seed money that will be planted to make money. It can be use to start up small businesses, it may be to buy a laptop, tailoring machine or anything that targets income. Note: The market that will buy these won't be a problem as you have students all over the campuses and hostels. With these a students would be less dependent. |
Pursue business seriously even while you pursue education. |
He end up making no point. Where are the reforms? Where are the impacts? Are your reforms been seen to be of benefit to a common man? When will it benefit all and sundry including the common man? To me these are all propaganda. Those who initiated the slogan question of 'Are you okay with 1dollar to 160 Naira?' is at it again. |
Statistics you guys used to jest of during election is what you are working hard to make us accept. We won'ts accept just statistics from a government full of propaganda. We would only measure the impact. From your comment about Nigerian not respecting our court judgements..is really laughable since even Nigerians leaders don't obey them. About elections conducted earlier..Mr Bayo you know the election was flawed. Keep your paid work up. |

Untold Secrets why you are being scammed Have you been scammed before? Have someone manipulated you before? Just like the computer, that processes data, stores and uses them when needed, humans also process the pieces of information received, store same and revert to them when needed. In order for the brain to process information, it must first be stored. The human brain is a complex, creative information-processing system. It starts with input from the sensory organs, which transforms physical stimuli such as touch, heat, sound waves, or photons of light into electrochemical signals. The sensory information is repeatedly transformed by the algorithms of the brain in both bottom-up and top-down processing. Once information is processed to a degree, an attention filter decides how important the signal is and which cognitive processes it should be made available to e.g noticing a lie even when it was presented as truth. There are many stages of processing, and the results of processing are modulated by repeated attention. However, not all information heard is given repeated attention by all individuals, thereby predisposing some to gullibility. Some individuals believe everything they read, or heard while others take time to process same by giving repeated attention, filter and trash unwanted information. In psychology, the relationship between information processing and gullibility is the ability to give repeated attention to information, filter, accept the facts and trash the unwanted information. Gullibility is a tendency to be easily manipulated into accepting that something is true when same isn't actually true. There are many factors that can make one to become gullible. These include; money, environment, belief, hatred, interest, fear and level of information available to each person. Apart from the level of information we have, we are less gullible if we can process information obtained, early enough, before acting on same. For example, if you have been duped before and someone tries to lure you into a similar trap later, your brain will easily process the information and then give a no answer to the deal, otherwise, you might easily become prey in the hands of such scammers. There are people who process information faster than others, while some other persons do not process information they received at all. Those who process information lately and those who don’t process some information at all have increased tendency to be gullible. Categories of people based on their ability to process information are as follows; 1. PROCESSORS 2. NON PROCESSORS THE PROCESSORS: These are persons who process information received. While some are early processors, others are late processors. a. EARLY PROCESSORS: These include intelligent researchers and analytical individuals. They are not cognitive misers. They have mostly residual knowledge which helps them process information timely, they are evidently exposed and philosophical (reasoning based on facts and deductions). They have the ability to remember things very fast. This characteristic helps them to process information very fast and judge pragmatically. They don’t conclude easily on judgement, but endeavour to ascertain the truth from both sides, thus making them less emotional in judgement. They ask a lot of questions. They are majorly fearless in terms of believe, compared to the late processors. They hardly believe in something but once they believe, it becomes strong and they can hardly loose a case in sessions of argument. They can trust people but they always defend actions of whoever they so trust. However, if the trust reposed is betrayed, they will rarely trust the person who earlier betrayed their trust, again. Remembrance is another characteristic of an early processor – these characteristics make them to process information earlier. In clear terms, “level of education” doesn’t make one an early processor, though it can help reduce one's tendency of gullibility. b. LATE PROCESSORS: Due to the fact that they process ideas or information late, they can be manipulated easily. They can believe easily and uphold information without trying to know the source. Many a times, they require the effort of someone to explain or simplify the information before they can understand same fully. Late processors can easily convert their likeness to trust. This is because they are moved by initial likeness for a person. A fellow who processes information late, will be easily deceived by what he/she hears or sees. Such individuals equally draw conclusion on information received, easily. Fear is another feature seen in a late processor individual - fear, which may be due to lack of exposure, adequate residual knowledge, forgetfulness etc. Those who are cognitive misers are equally categorized as late processors. c. NON PROCESSORS: The people that fall in this category are those who can be easily manipulated or scammed because they believe nearly everything they are told without pondering on any. Persons often placed in this category, include; mentally unstable individuals, the elderly and children. This claim is however subject to further research because there is no research to support same. However, there is a point in time, when the human brain will lose virtually some of its major functions like; storage ability and ability to remembering things, thereby inclining the vulnerability of such persons. “Ephesians 4:14 submits that, children can be vulnerable as it says, “that we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive”. In conclusion, for one to be less gullible, there is need to increase our threshold of acceptance of information before believing them. Reading, research, travelling, listening to quality information from professionals and pragmatically choosing the source of your information will be helpful. Igbokwe Davidson O. |
#500,000 is still small. We need to encourage students who make exceptional efforts in academic. Togo gives more than this. However, this one is a starting point. We can build more on this. |
That is correct as many of them are wolves in sheep clothing. Some even use it as devils machination to dominate their husbands. |
