A massive fire Monday afternoon has destroyed both the spire and the roof of the historic and iconic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the second church to be devastated by fire in one month.
While the fire service said the blaze could be “potentially linked” to ongoing renovations, so terrible was its effect that President Emmanuel Macron cancelled a major televised policy speech he was due to give on Monday evening.

Abigail Palmer, a single mother has been found guilty of the murder of her two-month old baby in the process of trying to stop the child from crying and making noise.
The 33 year old mom had claimed she had fallen asleep on the sofa only to wake up and find her daughter, Teri-Rae, “blue and lifeless”, Evening Standard reports.
But she was found guilty of manslaughter after the prosecution alleged she crushed the baby to stop her from crying.

A young lady has gone missing after travelling to Abeokuta to meet a guy she met online. To make matters worse, the man she claims she was going to visit has denied knowledge of her or her whereabouts.

The lady, named Debby, told her friends that she was going to visit a man named Ayo. She gave them his name and phone number and informed them that she met him online. She asked that if they do not hear from her, they should contact him.

The Koma people became recognized as Nigerians in 1961, a year after independence, along with the old provinces of Northern Cameroon. Today Koma is part of the seven districts of Ganye local government in Adamawa State.

Koma is a relatively primitive hill-dwelling ethnic group in Northern Adamawa, in the Atlantika Mountains, which shares a border with Southern Cameroun. Hill-dwellers are spread through the South and South-West of these mountains, including many on the Cameroonian side.

There are 21 Koma villages in the Cameroonian side of the Alantika Mountains and 17 villages on the Nigerian side.
