Federal Roads Maintenance Agency(FERMA), an Agency established by an Act of National Assembly by the immediate past administration could be adjudged not to have lived up to expectations as far as its statutory responsibility is concerned. This is evidenced in the unabated deplorable condition of Federal roads across the country.
Against this backdrop, the senate is set to commence debate on the need to scrap the agency. What are the alternative measures toward ensuring good roads in Nigeria? Some public commentators have suggested re- introduction of toll gates and Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) as means of generating fund for roads maintenance. What is the way forward?

I concur totally with Umar. EFCC under Ribadu was selective and unprofessional in its anti-corruption crusade. Recall that he described 30 govs in the last regime as corrupt leaders before the national assembly without adequate investigation. How many has he now prosecuted?
