https://www.nairaland.com/8604010/barking-dogs-ogun-governor-abiodun/1#138221869 lol... Are you not too funny. Dapo Abiodun said something in 2026,but you ignored that and talked about what Tinubu said during 2023 elections build-up. Here you are making it look like I'm the one who is dwelling on 2023. You should move on, we're now in 2026 |

Brendaniel: The question is did I say the truth or not? the thread is about Ogun state governor, but you didn't even mention anything about it but Tinubu. Screaming Tinubu's name won't change 2023 elections results and it probably won't change 2027 results. Part of being a man is accepting reality before you, otherwise you hurt yourself every time. Move on man |
Politics › Re: ‘Barking Dogs’, Ogun Governor Abiodun Slams Those Criticising Him Over Bad Roads by DarkkManB: 9:39am On Jan 22 |
Brendaniel: That is Tinubu's style of governance, that's his legacy, the same governor he bragged with for installing into office and the same way he uses security agencies to hunt those who criticize his government, that is his legacy.
The question his supporters will never answer is, the same TInubu they claim built Lagos and everything in it and justify his imposition of governors of Lagos state with "he knows how to pick good leaders", the questions is why are the other southwest states Tinubu has been picking governors not working like Lagos ?
Is Tinubu only good at picking good leaders for Lagos? Or he hates the other south western states and picks the worst for them?
That's the Lagos scam I keep talking about, they don't have an answer to that question because they are lying about Tinubu, Lagos made Tinubu, Tinubu did not make Lagos. You literally made everything about Tinubu. What if Tinubu wins in 2027? I'll advise you to take it easy |

immaculatesense: Point one: English language is basically divided into three categories of understanding; speaking, reading and writing. A medical doctor who is able to speak good English may not be able to put it in writing correctly, even some native speakers cannot write the language just like in Yoruba and other languages where some native speakers cannot even write down their language. English examination majorly assess this writing skill which is also Key for medical doctors.
Point 2: Aside from English language itself in O'level examination, other subjects are not critical with grammatical accuracy, they only mark Points and correctness to questions asked. That a prospective medical doctor got A1s in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics etc does not mean that if it has to be critiqued by an English expert it will maintain such grade.
Bottom line: English language is Compulsory BECAUSE it is the general language of communication in an heterogenous society like ours. The same cannot be said of Mathematics. Thanks lol... Alright o |

immaculatesense: English in this case is core even for science because it is the language of communication. All the course you will do in science are written in English and understanding them his Key if you need to excel in ur chosen field which made the language itself has an edge A miscommunication in semantics or writing from a doctor may spell doom for a patient. So, since English is a language of communication across all fields, it is core. So, English being mandatory is still reasonable. lol... So if a medical doctor got c6 in English language, a miscommunication cannot happen? But if he got D7 or E8 there will be a miscommunication? The same English he used to answer questions on other subjects he passed? Are we going to tell ourselves the truth? |

immaculatesense: Maybe if we are discussing this in the UK or US, maybe. But in Nigeria, you need the four walls of the class to speak good English. That is a FACT. yes I agree. But do you agree that as a science student, passing English should not be mandatory for my admission? If I get D7 or E8, that should be enough |

immaculatesense: You are comparing English with Mathematics? English is a language of general communication among Nigerians and that's why it is important for ALL. That cannot be said of Mathematics. You talked about Medicine? A Yoruba Medical doctor posted to Hausa speaking environment needs English language as a common ground. English is important in Nigeria because of our multiplicity of languages but that cannot be said of Mathematics. read my post very well. I'm still saying it that you don't need to see the four walls of the classroom before you can speak English, so it should not be a compulsory subject for the science students. Do you agree with me? |

immaculatesense: Please, can you tell me why an Art inclined person MUST pass Mathematics? Even my Dad, at 80, who did not go beyond what is now Primary 2 can calculate money in Millions accurately without finding the (y and x). Again, tell me. What is the reason why an Art inclined person MUST pass Mathematics? Thanks.
No Be Juju Be Dat? first of all, I didn't say that art students must pass mathematics, I only said that the minister has not said anything different from the earlier information. That said, I agree that mathematics should not be compulsory but English language as well should not be compulsory for science students, imagine someone couldn't get admission to study medicine just because he got D7 in English language despite passing all other subjects and jamb as well. English language is just a language that can be understood by someone who has never seen the four walls of the classroom, he only needs to be in an English-speaking environment. Even a ten year old kid who lives his life in America or England and didn't go to school will speak English language very well. What do you think about that? |
