No Kalulu44: Hmmmm... That's courageous of you. Talking about killing of animals, since I was born till date I have never killed a fowl or chicken to eat. Back then, if my mum don't do it my younger ones will, and I am the first born o 😀😀😀😀. Rats, I will just chase it away. Cockroaches if I don't see slippers or crush them underneath my legs wearing something, then that Cockroach lives for another day 😀😀😀😀😀. I no fit use ordinary hand kill cockroach, it irritates me eh Truly truly. Everyone has a phobia irrespective of age. I can pick a live cockroach, rats, even live millipede, worms( but I will wash my hands thoroughly after that) but that of snake eh.. the fear nor be here |
Science/Technology › Re: At 45 I Am Still Scared Of Snake by Data600(m): 2:20pm On Jun 24 |
Kalulu44: Good day and happy Sunday to you all. At 45 it still beat my imagination that I get freak out by anything crawling especially snakes. This morning while coming out from my apartment, I saw this snake crawling inside my compound while being escorted by a bird (funny scenario), I guess it came from the bush opposite my house and crawl thru under my gate. Immediately I saw it, instead of me killing it I got freak out. . I quickly took some steps away and hurriedly went to call one of the two guys working in our hotel which is just the next house. One of the guy said I shouldn't call him in matters of snake (my likeness) It was the youngest guy who I am 22 yrs older than that came to kill the snake. Even after he killed it, when snapping it with my phone, I was scared as if the snake will suddenly come back alive and hurt me. After that, I took a stick and picked it to go throw away. Still I was afraid. . This is me that's not afraid to enter any bush or forest whether day or night. This is me that's not afraid to enter any dangerous area or neighborhood. This is me that's not scared of anything be it ghost, armed robbers, cultist e.t.c but snakes no matter how small it's as been my only phobia. So guys! I'm asking, is there a way I can stop myself from being afraid of snakes? Or is it too late cus I'm too old? I read this your article and I smiled. We all have our Phobia. I am 44, you see snake, I am scarred of it. One day I thought to myself, I have never killed a snake in my life before. Just last month, I saw a snake crawling into the veranda hiding under the washing machine. Instead of me to kill it alone, I called my wife on phone cos she wasn't far off. She came with a big stick to kill while I stood far. She kept trying, something in me said, I be man oooo. I summoned the whole courage in this world, I ended up killing the snake. I was so happy that day eh... For the first time in my life. I finally killed a snake. This singular act actually reduced my phobia for that creature a little. If I see any now. I will gladly killed it but with little fear |

franchasng: Very valid reason that propelled many men to greatness.
Staying at home all day as a married man with kids is not a good practice no matter what. It will affect your children's perspective about life, work and hardwork. It will even make them lazy.
Even if you are working remotely, if possible, get a personal office away from home or use shared office so that every morning, you dress up and head to your personal or shared office and do your remote work from there than working from home.
Kids are very sensitive and some of your lifestyle will affect them as they grow to become independent.
Cultivate the habit of leaving your house every morning to engage in meaningful ventures that earns you income. Make it a habit to always dress up and leave your house in the morning, it helps you to learn time management, discipline, work habit, and it also help your health a lot too. You get new inspiration everyday you leave your house in pursuit of life success. There is more to lose than gain staying at home all day.
In fact, no person of caliber will take you serious as a man if you spend all your day and week in your house even if you are a billionaire earning your income legitimately from online, have an office, except you are a fraudster. Best comment here Thread closed |

Gbadugbakun: I agree. The goal is to unseat tinubu. If Obi stubbornly contest, he would end up reducing Atikus vote thereby giving tinubu a clean victory. He should join forces with Atiku. Must Atiku run? Can't he wait for another four years to run? Then when it be the turn of the north. I don't know why Atiku isn't strategic. Can't he learn from Tinubu. Tinubu knew the right time to run, and he won. |
