Yeah...i write for quite a number of websites

We weep and grind in our day,
in the floor of the creeks we lay,
lurking around this place of dismay.

At the top of the mountains we dwelt.
Staring at the commoners who got drenched
we smiled at our fortunes and walloped in wealth
and thought the worst that could come was death.

We fought the ferocious rain,
the kings of the jungle we tamed.
Our gusto could stop a moving train,
who knew we would go down the drain?

The titans swept by a stray wind.
The luxury of caution we failed to wield.
How anti-climatic is this deed.
With the tweezers we have been trimmed like the weed.

While in junior secondary school i wrote a short story"the robbed bank" and it was great.i receive commendations from student and teachers alike.i felt on top of the world...that became history...years later,i saw a post by a friend of mine on facebook.it was a poem and it was amazing.i felt so envious of her and i kicked myself for not have been writing.that day was d beginning of a new era 4 me.i began writing and i loved my first poem "love has a face"but then i began to see lots of flaws in my subsequent works.this development took me a step backwards but browsing through d net,i saw lots of poems that weren't nearly as good as mine nd so i pickd up my pen once more and wrote several poems.i can remember how exicted i was when i got a mssg from a bulgarian anthology publisher telling me he wud lyk to feature some of my works.since then i have never stopped writing not even if i feel like i am writing nonsense.its amazing how much i write when i feel depressed or angry.they say dat tears washes away sorrows,i tink writing does that too.to remain good writers we must strive to write everyday bt never miss writing wen u feel angry,hate,depressed,loved..at that point,ur emotion is at its apex,so also is ur writing.i hope dis helps u a bit and hope u share urs too.
