Pandemonium and tears at the weekendenveloped Abraka community inDelta State when a 26-year-old microbiology student of the State-ownedUniversity (DELSU) identified as Evelyn Mogekwu allegedly committedsuicide after being jilted by her fiancé.Reports said the end of theseven-yearrelationship traumatised the girl as all plansto walk downthe aisle failed to materialise.Sources said the girl was in highspirits inher hostel but her mood changeddramatically and she becamedejected afterher fiance called her on phone to declarethat theirrelationship over.She was said to have bought some drugs,claiming shewas having a head ache andwent into her room, leaving a messageforroommate that they might not see again.Few minutes later, herroommate whosensed something terrible was going on,raced into the roomand found her lyinglifeless on ground.
