Maasai Jumping Dance A line of Maasai warriors gathers in the distance, away from the crowd, their warrior shouts punctuating the still air. Grunts follow chants and the pounding of feet, harmony, and heartbeats. They move forward not as 12 men, but as one. One flow, one rhythm, one movement forward. without drums, only voices as instruments and rhythm. As the men get closer, the volume of their chants rise, the intensity of their movement increases, converging into steady rhythm. Up, bend, forward. Up, bend, forward. A human pulse, a human beat that reaches into one's bones even as it traverses the open air. As the men approach the crowd inside the circle of the corral, young women launch into song. Two men, now in the centre of the circle, jump straight up, each time higher than before. As energy flows into and through the corral, the men circle back, offering their own chant in return, a sort of call and response, their voices growing in volume and pitch. This is the essence of the signature Maasai adamu, or jumping dance. A rising beat, sweeping emotion into its path. A universal rhythm. To witness the gathering of Maasai from across villages in northern Tanzania is a stunning experience - visual, cultural, and human. For the Maasai, theirs is a celebration to mark the rite of passage, to welcome young men to the next stage of their lives. #MaasaiPeople #MaasaiTribe #Kenya #Tanzania #MaasaiSongs ##MaasaiJumping ##MaasaiJumpDance #MaasaiJumpingDance Click the link to support https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsIudWnBqXE |

Anam culture Include such traditions as Nzireani, Inezi, marriage, naming, Ote, Oba, Ikpa unwu, Oniozu, Mgbaboku, Masquerades, Mgba, O’mugo, olu-oba, igbu, age grade, Ada festival, igbji isi, ikwo iyi, arts of farming, etc. Nzireani festival: which literarily means ‘coming down’ but actually in the ancient time was known as Nzire’ume’ani (descent of earth's energy) is a great festival of repute when Anam elders invoke the fertility energy from Chukwu-Okike down to the earth for new farming season and beginning of new year for Anamites. And as well glorify Chukwu-okike for the success of previous farming season and for giving their ancestors victory over their invaders and over flood. Nzire-ume-ani in the ancient times take place once the flood begins to recede and dry land begins to appear; hence they saying ‘okpa gbali ani, aro erugharia this describes their belief that the recession of the flood marks the beginning of a new rotation or orbit signifying another year or season. Nzireani has undergone reformation in recent times; Anam Elders council have fixed every Eke market day closest to Christmas for the festival (this is to accommodate the Christians: showing the magnanimity and wisdom of our ancestors towards the cultures and religions of other people). Nzireani is marked by numerous young ‘war-masquerades’ entertaining and displaying arts of courage and bravery on the streets of Anam while the elders engage in religious feast at their respective ukpoo (alter-shrine). #NzireaniAnam #Anam #iAnamFestival #Nzireani2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzx3TiAHa8I |

famous Igbo Atilogwu dance spirited youth dance from the Igbo ethnic group of Nigeria that focuses on vigorous body movement and often includes acrobatics. In the Igbo language, the word itself "Atilogwu" translates into "has magic—as in sorcery/ witchcraft—been put into it?" It's spiritual and is not all that good to practice. The name stems from rumors that bewitchment or magic potions had to be involved if the children of the village could perform so exuberantly and energetically, while making it look so effortless. The tempo of the dance matches the tempo of the music, which is dependent on the beat of the drum and ogene, a metal gong instrument. The dance is usually performed during festivals and the festivity will also include exotic dishes created from authentic Nigerian recipes, served buffet style Click below to watch the video pls don't forget to click on the like and subscribe button and comment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNqhfoFKb0I |
