“That Day My ‘Cheap’ Laptop Became the Most Expensive Mistake”

Last year, I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life at Computer Village Ikeja.
I saw a guy on the street selling a “London used” laptop at a “promo price” — ₦150k for a system everyone else was pricing at ₦250k. In my mind, I had hit jackpot.

Two weeks later, the laptop packed up.
No warranty. No receipt. No shop address. No phone number. My ₦150k gone, plus the stress of looking for another system to continue my work.

That’s the day I learnt that inside Computer Village, cheap can be the most expensive.

Since then, I only buy and repair my laptops at Glodnuts Ventures. They are at 1 Adepele Street, Suite 48, Computer Village Ikeja.
They don’t just sell; they:
✅ Give you genuine laptops (brand new & UK used)
✅ Issue receipts & warranty
✅ Explain specs so you don’t buy the wrong thing
✅ Offer professional repair & upgrade services

If you’re thinking of buying a laptop in Lagos, please shine your eyes. Don’t let cheap street deals cost you double. Go where peace of mind lives.

That Day My “Cheap” Laptop Became the Most Expensive Mistake

Last year, I thought I was smart.
I went to Computer Village, Ikeja, saw a “London used” laptop on the street. Everyone else was selling it for ₦250k, but one guy whispered “Oga, I go give you for ₦150k.”

In my mind, I had gotten the deal of the year.
Two weeks later, the laptop packed up completely. No receipt. No warranty. No address. No phone number. My hard-earned money gone, and my work on hold.

That’s the day I learnt a bitter lesson: inside Computer Village, cheap can turn out to be the most expensive.

Since then, I only buy and repair my laptops at Glodnuts Ventures. They’re at 1 Adepele Street Suite 48, Computer Village Ikeja.
They:
✅ Sell genuine laptops (brand new & UK used)
✅ Issue receipts & warranty
✅ Help you choose the right spec for your work or school

📝 “How I Finally Found a Reliable Laptop Repair Place in Computer Village”

Last month my laptop just stopped coming on. I carried it to three different street engineers inside Computer Village Ikeja.
One man said it was the motherboard and wanted to collect ₦50k; another said it was the hard drive and asked for ₦35k. I was confused and frustrated.

A friend then whispered: “Go Glodnuts Ventures for Adepele Street. Na dem dey run things cleanly for Computer Village.”

I decided to try. When I got there, they ran a proper diagnosis for just ₦3,000, showed me exactly what was wrong, and gave me a realistic price. They even said if I went ahead with the repair, the diagnosis would be free.
In less than 24 hours, my laptop was back, working like brand new – no hidden charges, no stories.

Since then, anytime people ask me where to fix or buy laptop at Computer Village, I just say:
“Glodnuts Ventures for 1 Adepele Street Suite 48 Computer Village Ikeja – they’re tested and trusted.”

How I Almost Got Scammed at Computer Village – Until Glodnuts Ventures Rescued Me 💻

Last week, I went to Computer Village Ikeja to buy a laptop. Honestly, I thought it would be easy – just ask around, check prices, and walk home with a good deal.

But omo, I nearly cried that day 😩

As soon as I entered the market, one guy approached me on the street, claiming he could get me a “UK used HP EliteBook, Core i7, 16GB RAM for just ₦150,000.” The price sounded too good to be true, but I almost believed him. He even tried to rush me, saying “Oga, if you don’t buy now, another person will take it.”

Something in my mind told me to be careful. Still, I followed him to a corner shop. He brought out a laptop that looked neat outside, but when I asked him to power it on, he started giving excuses like “Battery don low, charger no dey here.” 🤔

At that point, I knew something wasn’t right. They wanted to scam me with a dead or fake laptop!

Luckily, I had heard about Glodnuts Ventures on Nairaland before coming, so I quickly called their number. Within minutes, I was directed straight to their office at:

📍 1 Adepele Street, Suite 48, Computer Village, Ikeja

When I got there, everything changed. The shop was neat, professional, and the laptops were properly arranged. They allowed me to test different models, explained the specifications in detail, and even gave me a warranty and receipt after purchase.

Instead of wasting my money on a fake street deal, I ended up buying a clean HP EliteBook Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD at a fair price. The laptop has been running smoothly ever since.

💡 My Advice: Don’t fall for too cheap deals and street traders in Computer Village. Many of them are waiting to scam first-timers. Always buy from a trusted and visible company like Glodnuts Ventures.
