davinchi101:Note that the egusi are of two types. Can't fully remember their names but I identify them. The first one has a black eye. When peeled, you get 40% of peeled one. While the other one, you get 50% of peeled one. I.e if you peel 5bags of the first one, you get 2bags of peeled one. While for the other one, you get 2.5 bags. There prices are slightly different though. The first is about 750/modu, the second is 800 |
afam4life:Lol, it's Akwanga sir. A bag (100 modu) is around 75-80k Note that some bags contain 120 or 150 modu. So the price are different. Just multiply 800/modu X number of modu u want |
AyodejiMdot:Transportation to where? |
We actually expected the price of beans to drop to 500#/modu this year. But due to maybe low rainfall and other factors, beans did not really do well this year. So the price fell from 1300 to 700. We don't need a prophet to tell us that beans will be very very expensive in 2024. If you have the mind, you can still store it. The price might likely hit 1,500/modu before another harvest season. |
davinchi101:Peeled egusi is now 1,900/ modu |
Updated price (in modu) of farm produce Corn 550 Soybeans 550 Paddy rice 400 Beans 650 Groundnut peeled 1,100 Red Guinea corn 450 Dry okra 700 Local rice 900 Raw locust beans 700 Bambara nut (okpa) 900 |
gidjah:Price is still at 450/modu here in Akwanga LGA |
RepoMan007:Lol, they won't remain cheap for long. Price would soon start shooting up. Corn that was 300/350 per modu in November, is now #550 or 600 That's why it's best to buy now and resell later |
If you want to store any grain, this is the recommended sack to use. It's 1,100 here in Nasarawa state
|
Guinea corn would soon start shooting up. Price is currently #450/modu. The price dropped from 1,000 naira. Our plan is to buy as many modu we can afford, here is 305 modu. The goal is to store about 500 modu for now to observe the market whether price would drop further or not.

If you are looking for a grain to buy btw Dec-jan, don't sleep on red guinea corn. I can assure you of at least 70-80% profit. In Jan 2023, this guinea corn was measured for 250/300 naira per module. It went as high as 1000-1200 Naira. One might blame fuel subsidy removal for this exponential increase in price. The price has now fallen from 1000 to 400. I can assure you that the price would hit 800 for sure by August |
crossfm:A modu is about 8-9 milk cup. 2 and half modu makes a custard rubber/ painter |
This thread would be dedicated to giving updates on the latest price of farm produce in Nasarawa state. The prices are from 3 main markets in the state which are 1. Akwanga market 2. Nasarawa Eggon market 3. Gwonto market ( Kaduna state close to Nasarawa) Also note that the prices would be given in mouldles and not bags. As at today 14/12/2023, the price of commodities are as follows 1. Groundnut (peeled)- 1,100 per module 2. Egusi (unpeeled) #650, peeled 1700 3. Beans - 650 4. Dawa or guinea corn- #400 5. Dadawa or locust beans-- 700 6. Dry okra- 700 7. Corn - 450 If you want to buy a grain to store, Red guinea corn is the sure bet for now. It was #1,000 in October, and now 400 per module. By March-April, Raw locust beans would be out. By August, fresh groundnut would be out. This groundnut was 600/modu in September, it's now 1,100. Imagine buying 1000 module at 600# each (600k), and reselling it now for 1,100 per modu (1.1million) So I will be updating this thread with new new prices as I visit the market on market days. Stay tuned WhatsApp 08144833301 or 08067939659 |

It's a food dehydrator. Works on electricity Planning to add gas to it soon incase of power outage |
Hi fellow agropreneurs, I just acquired this cabinet dryer. The goal is to use it in drying fresh farm produce, and reselling the dehydrated ones here in Nasarawa state. My focus is on groundnut; buying the fresh ones in bulk, and drying it up with the dryer. We know how rainy August is. And it's a time when fresh groundnut is in abundance. Many business men who want to hoard don't buy due to frequent rain. The plan is that by August next year when the price of the old groundnut would have gotten to the peak, we will buy the fresh ones, dry them up with the dryer, break them and sell them off. It will still meet the price of the old ones in the market. I also look into supplying dry ginger, potatoes to the sellers. ( A moudle of dry ginger is now 1500 )1. Now to the bosses in the house, how else do u think one can make the maximum use of the dryer to generate revenue. 2. What other farm produce can be focused on.

As a bonafide son of Lagos, from Badagry precisely, I and my family would be voting for Sanwolu as governor, and Peter Obi as president. I pick competency over bigotry and nepotism. |
If you think APC has a chance in Northern states especially north central, then you are dreaming. Here in Nasarawa, an average aged person is going for PDP, while an average youth is Obedient, and the youth has the population. APC has no chance because their candidate is not a Northerner, and also everyone is angry with APC govt. If u think the Northerners will leave their fellow Hausa man, and vote for APC having tinubu, then u are joking. I don't know of other Northern states though, but u see those states where they are abit learned, APC will gallantly loose. |
mazimee:Wow. How is the battery bro. People have been complaining bitterly about the battery. That's my only fear. Can I have your phone number pls to ask some questions about it. |
Kirkman:It's payment on delivery. It should get to my destination before Tuesday. I'll reject it once it is delivered to avoid stories later |
jboixxx:I understand u bro, just scared of spending 90k on something I won't enjoy. I followed the review on the product on jumia, that made me place the order not until I googled the review and saw people lamenting about the battery. Some even regretted buying it, some called the phone a scam cuz of the ba3. All these got me scared. |
meshachdbuzz:Yes, it's payment on delivery that I selected. So that means I will reject it once it's delivered. But hope they won't have problem with me for wasting their time and transportation fare for the delivery. |
Good day bosses. I'm somehow scared on this new Gionee m15 I just ordered in konga, and it's almost at my destination. Many people complained bitterly about the battery that it drains too fast. Pls what's your opinion on it. Also, is it possible to reject the order once it is received coz I'm scared of looking 90k on phone I won't enjoy |
