Please let’s not always be quick to condemn people who recommend stocks when the price starts going down as it’ll discourage anyone. Some of us find these recommendations really useful as we don’t understand TA, FA and the rest. Let’s not throw shades abeg. This is not to only you though so you don’t feel attacked

Transnational Corporation Plc: Suspension in Trading of the Shares of Transnational Corporation Plc

Trading License Holders and the investing public are hereby notified that trading in the shares of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp or the Company) was suspended today, Thursday, 10 October 2024.

The suspension is necessary to prevent trading in the shares of Transcorp to enable the Company’s registrars and CSCS to reconcile their books for the listing of the reconstructed shares on Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) pursuant to a share capital reduction embarked upon by the Company.

The suspension is required for the purpose of determining the shareholders who are entitled to receive the reconstructed shares.

But when UNION BANK was bought over by Titan Trust Bank Ltd, Union Bank shareholders were paid. Also Providus/Unity Bank still require over 150 Billion Naira to meet up their recapitalization target. So how will it work?

UNITYBANK shareholders FUNDS has gone with the WINDS.

Same thing happened in 2009 when BANKPHB , AFRIBANK & SPRINGBANK were nationalized by CBN till date no COMPENSATION to any of their SHAREHOLDERS.

Likewise in 2019 when SKYEBANK was merged with POLARIS their SHAREHOLDERS also lost out totally.
