There have been cases Nigeria where midway in operation there was power outage and the operation went on with touch lights and phone touch though extremely bad . But that's why it's Nigeria. Why will generator going off make them unable to continue operation. They would have tried to use touch light at least.

I do not think this was a case of being unable to proceed with the operation due to darkness in the operation room. Probably an equipment or device that needed electrical power.

Like I said in the countries that you like to point to, ordinary citizens fund political parties via annual dues. Party agents dont get paid to be mobilized, or for campaigns, they do it for free.

They volounteer their time and their resources so their is a contract between the leadership and the people.

there is also a contract in Nigeria but it the unwritten type and one we pretend doesnt exist or dont like to acknowledge.....I spend my money, i pay you the citizen to come to my campaign, i pay you to campaign for me, i pay you as a polling agent, i even have to pay some of you to vote for me...since you didnt volunteer your resources for me and I had to pay for everything,...i dont really owe you anything.

Thats the reality of democracy!!!! when you copy the white man's democracy, you forgot the part where citizens fund the party and volounteer their time for the party and the party funds the candidate's election with the money it receives from contributions from citizens and the time volunteered for free by party members.


If i am nominated by a party that is funded by annual member ship fees by members and my election is funded by the party, then my obligation is to the party that funded my election. if I am the one who funded my election, i had to pay delegates, I funded the party, i mobilized the so called party agents for campaign and on the day of the election, then it means I funded my election and I have no real obligation to you. You came out to vote? so what? stay at home if you like. That hard work was in the process leading up to election day and you were nowhere to be found. So you are last on the list of priorities!

Thats the way Nigerian politics works because citizens dont fund parties,
