I like how you called it allegation. But let me ask you. If this particular family was just an average/ordinary family and not the first family of Akwa-Ibom state, will this accusation/allegation gain as much weight as it does now ?

Will people not tag the said daughter mad or insane after accepting a political appointment despite these said "allegations" ?

Would you expect the father to sue his daughter to court for blackmail ?


Why didn't the daughter go to the police station or court of law to open a case file against her dad on this but rather chose to do a "video" about it. I am not disputing the claims as being true or not. Rather what I am saying is that " who wears the shoe, knows where it pinches him/her the most ". Let's tread with caution as outsiders so that this doesn't cause an irreparable damage to a family that just lost their beloved one.

It is a federal project, so let's hope it gets to completion. I wouldnt say for instance because I am from Ogun state and they have completed Lagos to Ogun ( lets say 30km), I now start jubilating. This is myopic and off-putting to say the least. What happens to other states yet to be covered ? Should they now start crying ? Most of the things they do and get away with, can you boldly and honestly say you can do such without the government's intervention ? Or are you saying the procurred arms from the black market should also be used against any government officials who intervenes. Then that would be tantamount to chaos and anarchy in the polity. That would make the entire case DOA. They can claim that the guns are for their cattle and hunting, but what happens to a yoruba, Igbo or other tribesmen that aren't hunters or cattle rearers when they are found with guns ? They will be labelled ritualists, kidnappers etc.


For your info, I am not in Nigeria. I have relocated my family to where they have peace of mind, but my thoughts , sympathy and empathy are still with those people affected who I believe are been victims of the useless political and economic war going on to destabilise or disenfranchisement a particular region.

Getting a " licensed " gun would mitigate the issue because the government won'tbe against the owner/user since it is for protection. But if you obtain firearms illegally, you have yourself to blame.

This is becoming unbecoming. At this juncture, I support that licenses should be given to Benue indigenes to acquire guns. You can’t just enter and slaughter human beings like chickens and go Scot free. If the government won't help to provide security, then let them equip us with the necessary tools to fend for ourselves. Q.E.D !

Oga stop this West-African comparison. Let’s compare our past indices with the present as a nation. That should tell us whether we are growing /developing or not.
